Re: Poll: What Review Score Would You Give Xenoblade Chronicles X: Definitive Edition?

TheExile285

I only just got my skell so I still have a significant portion of the game to go through. So far, I’d give it a 9/10. While the story isn’t reaching the highs of the main trilogy (which i expected), the exploration and gameplay are excellent so far.

Even though I’ve put like 200-100 hours into XC2 and XC3, i expect I’ll probably end up having the most playtime in XCXDE.

TheExile285

Xenoblade Chronicles X: Definitive Edition: I finished chapter 6 and got my skell the other day so now I'm working on doing all the missions I have available before starting chapter 7. I want to explore more of Sylvalum and Cauldros too.

Xenoblade Chronicles 2: Torna the Golden Country: I was hoping to have this finished before XCXDE came out but that didn't happen lol. I just made it to Auresco so I'll probably work on more sidequests to raise the community level before continuing the main story.

Fire Emblem: Three Houses: On chapter 9 of an intended Crimson Flower run. I'm probably gonna work on recruiting Sylvain and Leonie this month so I can do their paralogues later.

The Hundred Line - The Last Defense Academy: The switch demo finally came out yesterday so I'm looking forward to trying out the game this weekend.

Re: Nintendo Showcases Every Switch Direct Game In New Infographic

TheExile285

From this list, Metroid Prime 4, Pokémon Legends: Z-A and Dragon Quest I & II HD-2D Remake were the games I was most interested in from the Direct.

Additionally, I was also interested in Star Overdrive, Witchbrook and The Wandering Village. I’ll probably wait for reviews on each of these before buying though.

Re: 35 Upcoming Nintendo Switch Games To Look Forward To In 2025

TheExile285

Xenoblade Chronicles X: Definitive Edition was my most anticipated game of the year and it's been living up to expectations for me so far. That said, the other games I'm looking forward are:

1. Lunar Remastered Collection
2. The Hundred Line - Last Defense Academy
3. Rune Factory: Guardians of Azuma
4. Terminator 2D: NO FATE
5. Trails in the Sky 1st Chapter (dependent on performance)
6. Dragon Quest I & II HD-2D Remake
7. Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds (Very dependent on performance)
8. Marvel Cosmic Invasion
9. Pokémon Legends: Z-A
10. Metroid Prime 4: Beyond

I have one voucher left and I'll probably use it to double dip on a digital version of Pokemon or MP4.

Re: Poll: So, How Would You Rate The Nintendo Direct For March 2025?

TheExile285

7/10

There wasn't a ton I'm excited for but I wasn't bored while watching it either.

Witchbrook seemed like a neat game.

Metroid Prime 4 looks good but I do feel like I need to see more of it before I'm satisfied.

Pokemon Z-A seems a lot more interesting to me now that the day and night cycle mechanics have been explained.

I'll keep my end on Raidou Remastered but it'll probably be awhile after release before I play it.

Virtual Game Cards at least seems like a slight improvement on the current system with digital games on multiple Switch systems.

Nintendo News Today sounds cool in theory. Hopefully it's properly supported. They should really consider a website version too.

Really do wish they could have done this last week so XCXDE could have been given some brief Nintendo Direct exposure.

No Zelda Wii U HD ports or Prime 2 & 3 ports are a shame but I guess I was expecting too much.

Re: Nintendo Direct Confirmed For Tomorrow, 27th March 2025

TheExile285

Surprised this is real tbh but I'll look forward to watching.

I have one more voucher left so hopefully they'll be something here that I want to use it on.

I'm also hoping they give Xenoblade Chronicles X: Definitive Edition a brief shout out at the beginning just to get more eyes on it.

Re: Nintendo's Monolith Soft Updates Its Switch Portfolio With Latest Release

TheExile285

@Tyranexx yep, there’s also a Xenosaga anime based on the first game in the trilogy which is part of the reason why the Japan-only DS game exist:

https://youtu.be/JMIyHRVi5ug?si=CsEHNZiBxxYlHzXV (basically, the anime some changes to episode 1's plot that Monolift Soft liked so the DS game adapts episode 1 and 2 with those changes)

Looking back at how things went with Xenosaga (a lot of the supplemental content is Japan-only), Xenoblade fans have it really good.

Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? (22nd March)

TheExile285

Yeah probably just Xenoblade Chronicles X: Definitive Edition. Somehow, I’ve already sunk 20 hours into it and I’m just at the beginning of chapter 4 lol. I only played about 8 hours of the Wii U version but the QoL changes Monolift Soft have made are excellent.

If I can claw myself away from XCXDE long enough, I’ll also play a bit of Xenoblade Chronicles 2: Torna the Golden Country and Fire Emblem: Three Houses (crimson flower route) to finish those playthroughs.

Re: Nintendo Download: 20th March (North America)

TheExile285

I ended up double dipping on both digital and physical copies of Xenoblade Chronicles X: Definitive Edition so I could play at midnight on 03/20. Ironically, Best Buy did manage to get my physical copy delivered the same day; just very late in the day lol.

Re: Poll: What's The Best Xenoblade Game? Rate Your Favourite For Our Upcoming Ranking

TheExile285

I love them all and think they got better with each numbered release (so 3 > 2 > 1).

That said, my personal favorite is Xenoblade Chronicles 2. It is the first one Xenoblade game I played and I love the story, characters, music and environments.

I recently finished replaying XC2 again for the first time 2019 an it was a delight from start to finish. It's a shame the tutorials aren't that well developed because the game is really fun once you understand how a lot of the systems work(especially how blade combos and driver combos and how weave them into one another).

I hear XCX has some of the best environment designs in the series so I'm looking forward to seeing that as nothing else has topped how cool it was to explore titans Gormott and Uraya for the first time.

Also, I can't wait to finally get my own mech after only being able to fight them for three games lol.

Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? (8th March)

TheExile285

Xenoblade Chronicles 2: Currently chapter 9 of my non-NG+ replay. Hoping to have it finished soon and squeeze a playthrough of Torna before XCX:DE comes out. Pneuma is just so busted lol.

Fire Emblem Three Houses: Third attempt at completing this. I always enjoy my time with it but I either burn myself out from grinding out too many supports or life gets in the way. I wanna play Three Hopes and Engage at somepoint afterwards so I think this will be the time. I'm doing CF and already got Edelgard to C+ support.

Bakeru: Physical edition came in the mail the other day so I'm slowly playing a level here and there in between other games.
