Happy to see this is being received well. Had a great time with the demo so looking forward to the full game later this week.

I valued amiibo as cheap mini figures over the in-game benefits in the past but I'll have to be very selective with which ones I buy going forward at these prices.

From the new TOTK batch, I'll just get Riju.

Gonna try and snag a Switch 2 + MKW bundle from Best Buy with in-store pickup. If Best Buy doesn't pan out, I'll aim for GameStop or Costco.

Glad we aren't getting a delay or price increase on the console itself.

I bought LunarLux on Steam a few years ago but held off on continuing my playthrough when I saw it was coming to Switch.

Had no idea the Switch version was out until I checked the eShop today so I just went ahead and bought it.

I also ordered a copy of LUNAR Remastered Collection from Amazon since it's finally available for the US.

@Zeebor15 How are rentals affected by changes with Switch 2?

I ended up grabbing Grandia HD.

We already have Marathon at home on Switch 1. It's called Apex Legends.

Xenoblade Chronicles X: Definitive Edition: I spent like 20-30 hours just exploring and doing sidequests after I got my skell at the end of chapter 6 so I think it's probably time to continue the story and start chapter 7.

Fire Emblem: Three Houses: I'm on the 2nd chapter of the war phase in Crimson Flower. I will probably spend the in-game month grinding supports. I have so many recruited characters that I just use the BE students for story missions and the recruits for auxiliary maps.

Xenoblade Chronicles 2: Torna the Golden Country: I finished the first fight with Malos, and now there's dozens of sidequests in Auresco lol. I'll probably try and complete them all before continuing the main story to avoid any issues with the community level.

Mario Kart 8: Deluxe: If I end up getting Mario Kart World on Switch 2, I probably won't want to go back to MK8 afterwards so I figured I might as well get my fill now. Now that I'm playing it again, the Booster Course tracks were a lot better than I originally thought.

Jeez, when did Duskbloods get announced as a Game Key Card release? We barely know anything else about the game as is.

I would much prefer to have all these games on cart but if Switch 2 carts are more expensive, I don't know what the better solution is atm.

Nice to see this turned out decent. I hope to get it at some point this year; especially since there is a physical release for the US.

For $10, I'd rather just buy one of those Switch 2 edition upgrades or another game.

So $10 if the enhancements are mostly resolution and frame-rate and probably $20 if it comes with significant extra content like Kirby and Mario Party. That's reasonable to me.

You know in hindsight, if they didn’t want to make Nintendo Switch 2 Welcome Tour a pack-in game or free, they could have made it a NSO or NSO + Expansion Pass benefit while also selling it to those who don’t have NSO.

I just struggle to imagine who is going to buy it even if it’s cheap.

@RiasGremory Yeah, I specifically meant that MKW being the most expensive launch title means I'm going to be more critical of it.

Like I love the look of it but I need to know what other content it's going to have. Free roam for example, looks cool but I'm hoping there's more to it then driving around and taking pictures.

I would also hope they are gonna do free updates rather than paid DLC if stuff is being added later but that's probably a pipe dream.

Metroid Prime 4: Beyond - Nintendo Switch 2 Edition and the Switch 2 upgrade for Rune Factory: Guardians of Azuma are definite purchases so far.

I’m interested in Mario Kart World but with that $80 price tag, they are really going to have to sell me on it (unless I can snag the Switch 2 + MKW bundle). I’ll hopefully know for sure after the MKW direct.

Very interested in Cyberpunk 2077 on Switch but I’ll wait for reviews. If it’s most solid performance than I’ll be double dipping on that port.

I’ll almost certainly be getting the Switch 2 upgrade for Kirby and the Forgotten Land. Never played the first Kirby Air Ride but I’m intrigued by Air Riders.

I would have preferred $10 but $20 is better than the $30 I was fearing might happen.

@Ploppy Yep, I remember having to use my PS3 to transfer some PSP games as they were "compatible" with Vita but could not be downloaded from the Vita's PSN.

I don't want to have to deal with any of this kind of silliness with Switch 2.

After the crapshoot that was PSP to Vita BC (only digital PSP games worked; publishers were also allowed to restrict access like Sega with Phantasy Star Portable 1 & 2), I would have been very worried about software based emulation but thankfully there aren't that many games listed as having issues on the Switch 2 compatibility pages.

Wasn't perfect but there was a lot of stuff that appealed to me like Gamecube games on NSO, the new Daemon x Machina and lots of nice 3rd party annoucements.

I'm not a huge fan of these prices but they (currently) aren't a dealbreaker either.

Nintendo is really gonna need to get the message on this right because its currently making a lot of people upset even though it doesn't seem to apply to every game.

I hope 3rd parties don't abuse this.

I might be able to stomach these prices but there better not be any microtransactions. I expect Nintendo games will still get DLC expansion passes but I hope stuff like Mario Kart won't if they are charging $80 for it.

The stream died for me during the 2nd third party segment so I missed seeing stuff like this until I could get it working again.

Welp, I guess we aren't getting Wind Waker HD and Twilight Princess HD ports.

That said, I never owned a GameCube so I'm happy that I'll be able to play those games with this. Hopefully there's no price increase to NSO+EP as GC titles are just the edition to make that tier actually worth the price imo.

I like Kirby but never played the original Air Ride. I will almost certainly get this.

I'm surprised Nintendo pulled this. Probably not something I'll get as I don't like souls games but good for FromSoftware fans.

I wasn't expecting this but I'm definitely interested. I imagine it'll have a decent amount of new characters to fill out the roster.

Teasing this a day before the Switch 2 Direct is certainly a choice.

I still don't understand how Microsoft expects to sell a new portable when they can barely sell Xbox consoles as is.

SE could have taken this approach with Kingdom Hearts and I would have been happy if it meant not having to deal with worthless cloud versions.

I'm planning on grabbing The Hundred Line: -Last Defense Academy- and Rune Factory - Guardians of Azuma right away as both those games have nice limited editions that I want and look very good in general.

Lunar Remastered Collection, Star Overdrive and Capcom Fighting Collection 2 were the other games I was interested in but I'll probably wait on them and prioritize the former two games first.

We are so close yall.

This is exciting. Hopefully one of those games will be something that catches my interest (if not both).

I only just got my skell so I still have a significant portion of the game to go through. So far, I’d give it a 9/10. While the story isn’t reaching the highs of the main trilogy (which i expected), the exploration and gameplay are excellent so far.

Even though I’ve put like 200-100 hours into XC2 and XC3, i expect I’ll probably end up having the most playtime in XCXDE.

Additionally, I was also interested in Star Overdrive, Witchbrook and The Wandering Village. I’ll probably wait for reviews on each of these before buying though.

It's an excellent remaster. That's all that matters to me.

I would have liked to see it cross 100k but this is fine. Hopefully it'll have good legs and good worldwide sales despite the modest marketing.

If nothing else, XCXDE at number 1 for the week is an achievement given the competition.
