If it's a digital only release, I'll still buy because I'm excited to play this again but wasn't sure if I missed something.

Is performance better than Fairy Tail 1 on Switch or about the same?

Not expecting any Switch news that's gonna be relevant to me and I'm definitely not watching the Awards.

I hope developers are willing to support Switch 2 with ports of their games right away. There's a lot of games that I feel like should have released on Switch but didn't because they came out shortly before or just after the systems release and developers were hesitant because of how the Wii U turned out.

After watching that SF6 trailer, Sakurai was right lol.

Here's hoping for a Switch 2 release of SF6. It's shame how Switch has missed out on some of the bigger third party fighters.

No eShop purchases for me this week but I have FANTASIAN Neo Dimension coming in the mail today.

After watching Nintendo World Reports review, I may get IRONFALL Invasion later. I missed that game on 3DS.

Microsoft is barely doing anything significant to sell Xboxs. Sony has proven time and time again that they won't priorize anything aside from their current home console.

And honestly, I feel like this gen has proven that none of the console manufacturers can juggle more than one system.

Yeah I'm fine waiting as long as necessary if it means a solid launch lineup and no serious problems ordering/finding the system at launch.

Tbh, I'm not confident they can salvage the Switch version for me but at least they are trying.

Second movie had like 20 minutes of filler so it's funny to see it's the longest. That said, it was still enjoyable, just like the first one.

Good to hear. There is way too much money left on the table if they weren't. I remember certain first party Switch games being the highest selling game of the year for Amazon a few times.

When they announced those demon navigators, I kind of thought it would take longer. The new free demon is a very surprising but welcomed addition too!

Dragon Quest III HD-2D Remake shall be mine!

Dragon Quest III HD-2D Remake and FANTASIAN Neo Dimension are my priorities for the remainder of the year.

I ended up not picking up Ys X: Nordics & Romancing Saga 2 like I originally planned last month so I'll try and get them by the end of the year or maybe the beginning of 2025. Definitely need to grab Ys at least before it gets rare. The physical edition Marvel vs Capcom Fighting Collection comes out this month as well so I'll grab that if I can.

I could definitely get behind weekly or bi-weekly music drops. As long as it's not the 3+ month drip feed that the retro NSO apps get.

As someone who doesn't have much experience with Nintendo games before the 3DS era, I really hope they add a big variety to the catalog. For example, I'd love to hear the music from some of the older Fire Emblem games.

The 3D sections only being for dungeons and the farming is unfortunate but not surprising given what was in the trailers.

I actually bought a used Wii U a few years ago for the original game and the HD Zelda ports but since I can't get a real portable experience with the Wii U, I've only played a couple hours of XCX. I'll dig in throughly with the Switch version.

There’s not much on the app that is truly jumping out at me yet aside from some of the Splatoon and BOTW tracks. That said, I’ll keep it downloaded and hope they don’t drip feed the content. It’s a very cool concept as long as they actually expand it.

Off the top of my head, I’d love to Metroid Dread, Kirby and the Forgotten Kingdom get added sooner than later. Xenoblade music would be excellent too but I already listen to that via the Trinity box that got released last year.

I'm picking up SONIC X SHADOW GENERATIONS and Ys X: Nordics physically tomorrow. I'll also get Romancing SaGa 2: Revenge of the Seven physically later in the year.

That said, I will be downloading Rogue Flight tomorrow. The game looks like a lot of fun and Nintendo World Report's video review sold me on the Switch port.

@LikelySatan Yeah this is one of those frustrating Switch ports that SHOULD run decently but doesn't.

It's extra insulting since, I think at launch at least, the Switch version was supposedly the highest performing platform for the game.

Smash is an easy bet but I'd really interested to see what a Kirby game would look like from him these days.

Alternatively, I would also get excited for Kid Icarus game or something completely new.

At one point, I was very tempted to buy that pricey limited edition that Limited Run was selling but decided I'd make due with the standard edition.

Finishing up the Ys X: Nordics demo. This game went from "Hmm, maybe I'll buy it later" to "Okay, I'll pre-order but play it after finish some other stuff" and finally "I'm continuing as soon as my copy arrives next week."

Aside from that:

The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom - I didn't play this past week to give myself a break from the puzzles, but I think I'm ready to jump back in. I'm right after you complete The Hyrule Castle rift, and I got my horse!

Final Fantasy IX - Currently at the first Treno visit. I'm gonna try and priorize this game since I've been neglecting it the past week or two.

Shin Megami Tensei V: Vengeance - At the Demon King's Castle/the first dungeon after 50 hours in lol. I had assumed the big zones were supposed to be the "dungeons" of this game.

Trials of Mana (remake) - Got the ice mana stone. Need to get the fire one next. My party is Duran, Angela and Reisz. I beat this once in 2020 but decided to start over and hopefully I'll make it through all three playthroughs this time.

Tales of Symphonia: Remastered - This is my first Tales of game and I'm mostly having fun with it. The combat is slowly getting better and the story is nice. (Reminds me of XC2 in some ways with the story and characters too)

Xenoblade Chronicles 2 - Randomly had the urge to play the game again, but I don't want to commit to NG+ yet. So instead, I've just been doing sidequests and completing affinity charts in post game.

Playing through the demo now. The environments and effects look fine but I absolutely love how the character models look with this new engine Falcom has.

I'm used to the party based Ys games (Seven, Memories of Celceta, etc.) so I'm interested to see how this one will feel to play in comparison.

I spent the most time with a 3DS XL but shortly before the eShop closed, I bought a New 3DS XL off eBay and I'm gonna be playing my backlog on that. I enjoy the screen size of the XL models as the normal 3DS is too small for me.

@Lizuka I take it, aside from IV, these aren't as good as the first three games?
