I love them all and think they got better with each numbered release (so 3 > 2 > 1).
That said, my personal favorite is Xenoblade Chronicles 2. It is the first one Xenoblade game I played and I love the story, characters, music and environments.
I recently finished replaying XC2 again for the first time 2019 an it was a delight from start to finish. It's a shame the tutorials aren't that well developed because the game is really fun once you understand how a lot of the systems work(especially how blade combos and driver combos and how weave them into one another).
I hear XCX has some of the best environment designs in the series so I'm looking forward to seeing that as nothing else has topped how cool it was to explore titans Gormott and Uraya for the first time.
Also, I can't wait to finally get my own mech after only being able to fight them for three games lol.
@Synecdoche You are probably right about Echoes of Wisdom at this point (which is unfortunate :/) but I would give it another month or so before giving up on a XCX amiibo. XC3 got its amiibo really late.
Xenoblade Chronicles 2: Currently chapter 9 of my non-NG+ replay. Hoping to have it finished soon and squeeze a playthrough of Torna before XCX:DE comes out. Pneuma is just so busted lol.
Fire Emblem Three Houses: Third attempt at completing this. I always enjoy my time with it but I either burn myself out from grinding out too many supports or life gets in the way. I wanna play Three Hopes and Engage at somepoint afterwards so I think this will be the time. I'm doing CF and already got Edelgard to C+ support.
Bakeru: Physical edition came in the mail the other day so I'm slowly playing a level here and there in between other games.
It's nice that they lowered the price. Unfortunately, like a lot of other Switch games that switched from being published by Nintendo back to SE, the eShop demo is gone.
Hmmm, I'm not sure how I feel about this yet. If I'm being honest, I didn't really enjoy Legends Arceus as much as any of the other Switch era Pokemon but I hope this one will vibe better with me.
I think it's just gonna be all Xenoblade and Kirby for me lol.
I'm currently playing the Future Redeemed DLC story in Xenoblade Chronicles 3. I only played it during the weekends to avoid distractions but I just made it to the Black Moutains in chapter 4. The affinity goals adds so much to the exploration and I hope Monolift Soft considers adding a refined version of it to the next new Xenoblade game.
Aside from that, I'm replaying both Xenoblade Chronicles 2 and Kirby and the Forgotten Land on new save files. Currently on chapter 4 at Mor Ardain in XC2 and Everbay Coast in Kirby.
I am extremely excited for Xenoblade Chronicles X: Definitive Edition. It's probably the game I'm most excited to play this year atm.
Never played a Suikoden game before but they look interesting. Assuming performance is fine on Switch, I'll grab Suikoden I & II HD Remaster: Gate Rune and Dunan Unification Wars at some point later and give the series a try.
Xenoblade Chronicles 3: Future Redeemed - First time playing this and having a blast. Currently on chapter 4 and I love working through the affinity goals while exploring.
Xenoblade Chronicles 2 - I've been wanting to replay this for awhile and I just decided to try and squeeze a new playthrough in before Xenoblade Chronicles X: Definitive Edition.
Kirby and the Forgotten Land - Recently finished Return to Dreamland Deluxe. Enjoyed that gane a lot but it also maybe me want to go back and play my favorite Kirby game again.
Freedom Wars: Remastered - I played the original on Vita and while I am enjoying being able revisit this game, I'm also more aware of its flaws this time. While core gameplay is fun (albeit kinda unbalanced at times) the way the story is presented is kind of terrible. I'm gonna continue chugging through so I can get to endgame and take more advantage of the online before it dies.
Samurai Jack: Battle Through Time - When this got delisted off digital storefronts, i did some research and found that Japanese copies have English support so I imported a copy for like $40 so I wouldn't have to deal with the overpriced LRG copies. Slowly playing through as a fan of the cartoon and it's fine.
If i can figure out a way to invert the controls, I may try Star Fox 64 on NSO. If not, I'll probably order a copy of the 3D version for 3DS off ebay.
I kind of wanted to play a decent game with tanks (that's not live service) on Switch which led to me re-downloading Valkyria Chronicles: Definitive Edition. Idk if I'll get to it anytime soon tho.
Really hoping they give us a XCX amiibo sometime after release too. An Elma or Skell one would be cool and they could just use it for an early ingame unlock like with Noah and Mio's amiibo.
The Satisfye zengrip and case have been my go to for several years now. I’ll most likely get the same for Switch 2 but I’ll wait for accessory reviews first just in case.
The only things I may buy ahead of time are a screen protector and memory card.
It was fine. Confirmation that they are continuing the hybrid design and that BC will work with physical games is great. Not much else to say until we see games and specs.
Probabĺy won't happen right away, if at all, but I'd just want native ports of KH for Switch 2. Package the full collections on physical carts and I'd pay full price.
I started the Future Redeemed DLC story in Xenoblade Chronicles 3 last weekend so I'm gonna continue making progress on that. Exploration is really good here though so I'll be taking my time doing sidequests and completing the Collectapedia Goals.
I think I just need to complete Extra Mode and then I'll have 100% completion in Kirby Return to Dreamland Deluxe so I'll play a few levels in between.
Freedom Wars Remastered came out yesterday so I'm enjoying that just as much, if not more, than I did on Vita. I'll probably hop online and hope Switch servers are populated despite the lack of advertising before launch. I kinda want to get my fill of this before Xenoblade Chronicles X: Definitive Edition comes out.
Yeah, this is probably one of the worst ports I’ve played on Switch. I tried about half an hour when it released and immediately uninstalled it and bought the Steam version. Basically one of the few Switch purchases where I’ve actually had buyers remorse.
There really isn’t excuse for it to run as bad as it does aside from laziness.
Very late but I started playing the Future Redeemed DLC story in Xenoblade Chronicles 3. I've also been playing through the bonus modes in Kirby Return to Dreamland Deluxe.
I’m most excited for Xenoblade Chronicles X: Definitive Edition.
That said, I’m also really looking forward to:
Rune Factory: Guardians of Azuma (I hope we start seeing more of this soon) Metroid Prime 4: Beyond Pokémon Legends: Z-A The Hundred Line: Last Defense Academy
Keeping my eye on Fantasy Life i and I may try out Guilty Gear Strive later with that Switch port.
Kinda hoping this is false only so that the movie has enough time to make even more box office revenue. Sonic 3 may be sitting at 210 million but Sonic 2 made almost twice that. The movies need to remain profitable if we want more of them. (I know Sonic 4 is already announced but still)

@Divide_and_Wander It's been unbearable since January.

@Friendly whoops yes that's exactly what i meant. My bad.

Re: Atelier Yumia Scores Free Demo Next Week, While New Trailer Dives Into Gameplay
Unexpected but cool news. I wasn't planning on picking up Yumia anytime since XCXDE is close and I still need to beat the Ryza trilogy.
That said, I will give this a download as I'm very curious about Switch performance and if it's decent, I'll grab a physical copy before it gets rare.
Re: Poll: What Switch Game Could You Not Live Without?
Xenoblade Chronicles 2 for me. I might not have been the huge Xenoblade fan that I am now without it.
Re: New Nintendo Patent Hints At Improved Voice Chat On Switch 2
I hope this is built into the system and the pro controller. If it requires the NSO smartphone app, I won't use it.

Re: Monolith Soft Adds Final Fantasy Cutscene Artist To Its Ranks, So What's It Cooking For Switch 2?
Xenoblade games already have awesome cutscenes (XC3 especially) so this is great news!

It's nice that they lowered the price. Unfortunately, like a lot of other Switch games that switched from being published by Nintendo back to SE, the eShop demo is gone.
Re: Poll: Which Starter Pokémon Will You Choose In Legends: Z-A?
I don't have any experience with these starters so I guess I'm indifferent.
After looking up their evolutions, I will almost surely be picking Chikorita.
Re: Pokémon Legends: Z-A Trailer Confirms Starters And Mega Evolutions, Coming Late 2025
Hmmm, I'm not sure how I feel about this yet. If I'm being honest, I didn't really enjoy Legends Arceus as much as any of the other Switch era Pokemon but I hope this one will vibe better with me.
Re: How Would You Rate The Pokémon Presents Showcase For February 2025?
5/10
Pokémon Legends Z-A gameplay was the only thing that interested me. The presentation was kind of what I expected based on past ones though.
Re: 'Pokémon Champions', A New Battle-Focused Game, Announced For Switch And Mobile
When they showed the Gameboys during the teaser, I briefly let myself get my hopes up for Pokemon games on NSO. That was foolish of me lol.
Re: New Xenoblade Chronicles X: Definitive Edition Trailer Is Our Best Look Yet At The Upcoming Remaster
Less than a month to go. I can't wait!
Re: Lunar Remastered Collection Physical Release Will Not Be Up For Pre-Order (North America)
Yikes. I guess I'll need to set a reminder on release day so I can get an order in. 😰
Re: Rumour: Kirby: Planet Robobot Will Indeed Come To Switch, It's Claimed
I'll pick up a Switch port if it happens but I wish they'd bundle it with Triple Deluxe.

Xenoblade Chronicles X: Definitive Edition. Inject it into my veins.

Re: Poll: So, Were You Accepted For The Nintendo Switch 2 Hands-On Event?
Didn't apply. The events are not being held anywhere close to me. Any money I'd spend traveling could just be used for the system and games.
Very interested to see peoples impressions though.

If we are discussing amiibo restocks, it's also worth mentioning that the SSBU Pyra & Mythra amiibo double pack recently got restocked at GameStop:

Re: Astral Chain Director Seemingly Forms New Studio After Leaving PlatinumGames
Would be awesome if Takahisa Taura really did get a chance to work on an Astral Chain sequel for with their own studio for Nintendo.
I really don't know how to feel about Platinum these days. NieR: Automata, Wonderful 101, Bayonetta 2 and Astral Chain are favorite games from them.
Re: Another Switch 2 Accessory Is On The Way, Pre-Orders Are Now Live

Re: Community: What Are Your Favourite Sidequests On Switch?
Love seeing XC3 mentioned. Taion's side story is probably my favorite "sidequest" but the game has a lot of great ones.
Re: Analyst States That Switch 2's Price Won't "Really Matter" For Early Adopters
I don't want it to be more than $399 but.....the Switch 1 is my favorite system (and it's not close) so this is probably true for me. 🫠
Re: Poll: What Do You Think Of Donkey Kong's Redesign In Mario Kart 9?
I am not a fan. Then again, I'm just not a fan of DK in general.

@Don I guess that works for news sites but this stuff was all over social media. It was hard to avoid.
Re: Random: Switch 2 Leakers Called Out By Industry Veteran Hideki Kamiya
Alright, so his wording a bit extreme....but I 100% agree that the leaking sucks overall.

It was fine. Confirmation that they are continuing the hybrid design and that BC will work with physical games is great. Not much else to say until we see games and specs.

I am beyond hyped. It looks so good!
Re: Video: 15 Exciting New Games Coming To Nintendo Switch In January 2025
Freedom Wars Remastered is a day one buy for me but that might be the only game I grab this month.
Very interested in Tales of Graces f Remastered but I’ll get that later.
Re: New Freedom Wars Trailer Showcases The Upcoming Remaster's Fresh Features
The fixed crafting is great. In the original, crafting was on in-game timers and the amount of time you had to wait got obnoxious by endgame.

Ironically, Namco Europe decided to upload an overview trailer today lol:

Re: Freedom Wars Remastered Estimated Switch File Size Revealed
Kinda unfortunate how non-existent Namco's advertising for this game has been. I forgot it was coming out Friday.

Metroid Prime 4: Beyond
Pokémon Legends: Z-A

Re: Nintendo Download: 2nd January (North America)
Wow, I've never seen such a small list on one of these.
Nothing for me this week. That said, I do hope that Ys Memories of Celceta port comes stateside. Really enjoyed that game on Vita.
