I went from having no interest in this game to thinking I may want to get it at release. Still on the fence as this isn't a genre I normally play but the game looks so charming.

@slowpoke_tail I'd much rather see Daisy get put into a new 3D Mario game or perhaps a new Luigi's Mansion. She would be out of place in this game.

Seriously though, I wonder what he'd look like in this artstyle.

If they port the game to Switch 2, I would most likely buy it. I would just hope that it's properly optimized port that looks decent in both docked and handheld mode.

Potentially $70 AND game key card? NISA.... what are you doing?

Also, I'm kind of salty that Falcom okay'd Switch 2 versions for this and the Ys X Nordics re-release (Japan only atm) but not the Trails 1st Chapter remake.

Not a fan of this trend where we get a new remaster that ignores everything from previous remasters or ports.

They should have included both versions and allowed people to pick which one they wanted to play.

@Zeebor15 I'm not sure about other regions but Square Enix is listed as the publisher for US.

I know that Nintendo was the publisher for the original 3DS version but I wonder if this is a mistake.

I plan to pick this up in the next month or so. I loved the game on 3DS so having it available on Switch 2 with both handheld and TV methods of play would be ideal.

I am also hoping we get Bravely Second: End Layer as I never got around to playing that one even though I do own it on 3DS as well. That would also make the entire Bravely Default series available on Switch 2 in some format.

5 being last is deserved but I'm surprised 4 and 4S are middle of the pack.

Just obe more week until the Earth Dancer edition of GoA arrives in the US and I can finally play it...

It is good fun. My biggest gripe so far is how little information is provided on the map for free roam. It makes keeping track of what you have collected so far kind of difficult.

Loving the actual racing gameplay and unlocking all the cosmetics for the characters.

@xenobladexfan Hopefully Falcom is more aggressive with Switch 2 out of the gate then they were with Switch 1. I really wish they had announced a Switch 2 version of Trails 1st Chapter remake.

I would have expected NISA to take the XSEED/Marvelous USA route and put this on a game card but maybe charge a little more.

Banking on Switch 2 exclusivity but then using a game key card seems counter productive to me.

Glad to see the console and Mario Kart sold well.

Physical 3rd party sales aren't great though. Hopefully that will improve.

Out of curiosity, will future Switch 1 game reviews offer any insight into how said game runs on Switch 2?

Trials of Mana (2020 remake) looks like a completely different game to me. It wasn't bad before but something about the display (not the framerate, more so the colors) is very much improved on Switch 2 along with either a locked or higher framerate too.

While many of us are hoping for a specific patch or Switch 2 edition, I'm happy with how the Xenoblade games perform on Switch 2.

The trailer on the Nintendo Today app for this game looks awesome! I have been wanting a Splatoon spin-off for awhile.

I’m surprised people were expecting current gen CoDs on Switch 2. The most I expected were ports of some of the older games or a side game tailored for Switch 2 specifically.

I don’t have much of horse in this race regardless though since I don’t play those games.

I'm not buying this again at full price but I definitely would have given them $10-20 for an upgrade path. Oh well.

Between all the good word of mouth and how positive this review was, I’m thinking I may just give this a try and buy it at some point. At least it’s not horribly priced like 1-2 Switch was. (Which I never bought lol)

@Sonicka Not only does it work with Switch 1, it puts an icon for the game on your Switch 1's menu screen lol.

I assume any game that supports gameshare will work with a Switch 1 but the stream quality will be worse compared to if you were sharing it to another Switch 2.

I basically bought this due to all the good word of mouth surrounding the developer and the attractive price point.

So far it's been very fun and is a cool technical showcase of what's possible on Switch. I haven't played a Wipout game in years but this scratching that itch while also very obviously being its own thing.

Mario Kart World - Don't have much to say about this yet aside from that it's fun and expressive.

Cyberpunk 2077 - Already own it on PC and I like it alot. The prospect of having a portable version was too good to pass up.

Fast Fusion - Kinda of bought this due to the good word of mouth surrounding the developer. I never played any of the others but this one feels like a fusion of Wipeout and F-Zero. I like it so far.

The Hundred Line: Last Defense Academy - Was already playing this on Switch 1. Huge game with great writing so I'll probably be chipping away at for months.

Undertale - Originally had no plans to play this but I want to play Deltarune. The music is excellent.

Already had the game on PC but decided to buy it again for portable play and I was not disappointed. This is a great port and I think I'll end putting significantly more time into this version thanks to how versatile Switch 2 is.

The mouse controls are really cool. I just wish I could enable them by rotating the joycon like in Prime 4 rather than having to go into the setting menu.

It's worth noting, there is a small demo on the eShop for this. I have yet to find the demo section (if there is one) for Switch 2's eShop but you can download the demo straight from SF6's eShop page.

I didn't really notice a smell but I have noticed that the system gets warmer than the OLED did. I imagine it's mostly normal but I'm still getting used to it.

I'm intrigued. This looks cool.

The scale of this game as a VN is honestly kind of insane to me. I recently put the it on hold for Switch 2 stuff after getting my 4th ending but I absolutely want to gradually chip away and see everything. I think it might have topped Danganronpa 1 & 2 as my favorite Kazutaka Kodaka game.

If they do add more content, I just ask that it is in the form of DLC, rather than an updated version with exclusive content for other platforms only. cough*Raincode*cough I don't want to have to start over, even if it was a Switch 2 version.

Yes, I pre-ordered the standard Switch 2 from Best Buy. I’ll be picking it up at midnight. I also ordered a 256GB memory card and the carrying case+screen protector.

Regarding games, I’ll be getting Mario Kart World and (hopefully) Cyberpunk 2077. I had also planned to get Rune Factory via the Switch 2 upgrade but the Switch 1 limited edition that I ordered has been delayed by like 2 weeks.

This is the first time I’ve ever picked up a gaming system at launch so I’m excited to see how the experience turns out.

Wow, I am pleasantly surprised. I'll definitely jump back in with the Switch 2 version.

Y'know... it seems like many of the Switch 2 launch titles don't have much in the way of marketing. Just a trailer from the big Direct and maybe a separate video or two. I wonder why that is.

Tbh, I didn't realize this game was going to be available at launch.

So happy to see this reviewed well. I've been following the game since it was announced and everything about it looked like a massive improvement over RF5. I was particularly impressed with how much more animated the characters look in dialog and cutscenes.

I look forward to playing this on Switch 2!

Again, they barely sell Xbox consoles as is. (And the recent price increase isn't going to help) How exactly was an Xbox handheld supposed to be successful? Purely through GamePass?

The fact that it's just the Nintendo Switch 2 logo rather than the Nintendo logo is funny to me.

I am not going to watch this event but I'll check news sites afterwards for any relevant Switch 2 news.

@RainbowGazelle What's the alternative? No other platform has stepped up to replace it. Bluesky is neat but it's still missing features and many haven't migrated.

Looking forward to the Switch 2 version. Not looking forward to seeing the price tag.

@Overzeal Panned by players? I started playing earlier than I originally planned because I had heard nothing but good things. And after 40 hours or so, I'm still having a great time with it. Although, I do hate how selfish Takumi is acting in the current route I'm in. =/

I was afraid of this after seeing how P3R turned out. Assuming (hoping) it comes to Switch 2, I'll probably still buy it but a Persona 4 remake without the original voice cast just won't be the same. At least Golden is still easily accessible.
