Great news. I'll probably start the first game on Switch 2 once we have a release for this.

Lazy, unoptimized ports weren't going away because we have better hardware.

@Spider-Kev The game feels like a mixed bag tbh. There are some very cool things that make the moment to moment gameplay fun but the aesthetics of most of the stages leaves a lot to be desired.

It felt memorable going through stages and seeing how regions were recreated in AoC.

Day one for me. This was always right up my alley and I've done my best to avoid any and all spoilers. The little bit of this game I have seen, looks excellent.

I'll admit, we are finally starting to see some of the Switch 2 3rd party announcements that I was expecting 2 months ago. Feels nice.

I am still hoping for an opportunity to use Gamehat at some point.

@Darthmoogle While that is true, this is the same KT that didn't do any DLC for FE Three Hopes even though FE Warriors had DLC.

Time will tell but I'm not holding my breathe. I imagine that Age of Imprisonment is probably not going to be the same kind of commercial success that Age of Calamity was.

Welp, that is the second update. Unless they are planning on a paid DLC expansion (which I doubt) then I guess my hopes for another playable character are dead.

@mattiasboden Oh really? The UK website is only showing me a 11.9 GB download. I would assume 30GB means the textures are definitely improved.

Just need someone to upload a video showing off this version before I pull the trigger.

Very cool that they put the Switch 1 version on sale and then made the Switch 2 version a free upgrade.

That said, I checked the EU eShop (its not live on NA yet) and there isn't that big of a difference in game size. I wonder how much they improved.

If they can get a good port going later, I'd be interested.

If Capcom can optimize a good Switch 2 port, I’ll pick this up. The PC demo was fun and I’ll probably play it again when the Switch demo comes out.

No Switch 2 version at the very least is a shame. This doesn’t look that demanding imo.

Love the system overall and I use it daily. I mostly just want more 3rd party support and Switch 2 editions/upgrades for Switch 1 games.

I had been wanting to try Elden Ring so I'll probably just wait for the Switch 2 version at this point since it rarely goes on sale on Steam.

@Eel A post game character is exactly what they should have done. Atm, there aren’t any interesting post game unlockables.

I really hope the next update (roster spoiler) adds Sonia as a playable character. It feels like a huge oversight that she has a sync strike with Zelda but can't even be used after the game is completed.

That said, it looks like this update will bring some endgame content so that's neat.

I'm leaning towards an 8. It's an excellent game and a lot of fun. There are some things I wish were done better but those are minor complaints in the grand scheme of things.

Didn’t get into the series until New Horizons and even if they offered this on NSO, I can’t see myself playing any of the older games.

Good trailer. I was hoping they'd add something like Dread's parry mechanic to liven up the moment to moment combat but the physic abilities seem cool enough.

@AnnoyingFrenzy Daisy has only recently started appearing in the non-spin off titles so I wasn't holding my breath on her getting a movie appearance. I almost feel like Pauline has a better shot of making an appearance first. =/

Too early to tell. I would probably be leaning towards a 7/10 atm.

The game looks great and is fun but I'm not enjoying it as much as Age of Calamity. Still only on chapter 3 so that could change.

Also, I could agree with the other comments. Having a poll like this a month after release would probably be better than a couple days after.

@SearchingS How far are you? I was wondering about this as well but once I hit a certain part in the story Around the 5th story mission; when you start fighting under the blood moon, I noticed a drastic increase to the enemies on screen.
