Leaning between a 8/10 and 9/10.

Love the system overall and I use it daily. I mostly just want more 3rd party support and Switch 2 editions/upgrades for Switch 1 games.

I took a day off from work on Thursday so I could pick it up and play lol.

Looks good to me. Hopefully handheld mode won't be compromised.

I had been wanting to try Elden Ring so I'll probably just wait for the Switch 2 version at this point since it rarely goes on sale on Steam.

@Eel A post game character is exactly what they should have done. Atm, there aren’t any interesting post game unlockables.

@SplatRay001 I’m honestly miffed about this. They gave us so many random characters but not Sonia? Shes on the front boxart?!?!

Hopefully she’ll be in the second update.

I'll skip these but it's still good they are being done.

I wonder how NoA chose these channels as neither one seems that big.

I really hope the next update (roster spoiler) adds Sonia as a playable character. It feels like a huge oversight that she has a sync strike with Zelda but can't even be used after the game is completed.

That said, it looks like this update will bring some endgame content so that's neat.

I'm leaning towards an 8. It's an excellent game and a lot of fun. There are some things I wish were done better but those are minor complaints in the grand scheme of things.

Didn’t get into the series until New Horizons and even if they offered this on NSO, I can’t see myself playing any of the older games.

Glad this is coming to Switch but also frustrated that Namco didn't make a Switch 2 version again even though they have dev kits.

What news could they be giving us? New Mega reveals?

@Elektrogeist1287 The only games on this list that released before Bananza are Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 and Kingdom Come: Deliverance II.

Good trailer. I was hoping they'd add something like Dread's parry mechanic to liven up the moment to moment combat but the physic abilities seem cool enough.

@Coalescence I'm starting to get the feeling that this is gonna be another Bayonetta 3 in terms of divisiveness with the fans. I hope not though....

Sony announcing two mobile games (this and the Horizon MMO) in a row with neither having a PS5 version sure is a choice.

@AnnoyingFrenzy Daisy has only recently started appearing in the non-spin off titles so I wasn't holding my breath on her getting a movie appearance. I almost feel like Pauline has a better shot of making an appearance first. =/

Too early to tell. I would probably be leaning towards a 7/10 atm.

The game looks great and is fun but I'm not enjoying it as much as Age of Calamity. Still only on chapter 3 so that could change.

Also, I could agree with the other comments. Having a poll like this a month after release would probably be better than a couple days after.

@SearchingS How far are you? I was wondering about this as well but once I hit a certain part in the story Around the 5th story mission; when you start fighting under the blood moon, I noticed a drastic increase to the enemies on screen.

Good news for me. I was interested in Mineru and Tulin as villagers but I didn't want to buy their amiibo.

Wow, this looks cool. And December 10th is way sooner than I was expecting. I need to hurry and finish the main story.

(Also really not looking forward to the discourse this DLC will definitely bring with certain parts of the fanbase...)

It's been good so far but I definitely want to see more. Hopefully it doesn't take too long to see more big third party games getting announced for Switch 2 along with other systems.

I upgraded from NSO to NSO+Expansion Pack last year. Overall it is fine but I think I'd feel it was more worth it if the content drops on NSO games was more frequent. Still waiting for Kirby: Nightmare in Dreamland to be added to GBA and I have no idea what they are waiting for. GameCube has been neat but I'd still like to see it upgraded more.

I got a Switch in 2017 a few months after release but Switch 2 is the first time I’ve ever purchased a game system day one.

I’m actually still a little surprised at how painless transferring all my game data from my Switch to Switch 2 was.

@topsekret I don't think that is the reason. There is no Xbox demo either and Atlus did something like this with SMTV Vengenance where PS5 and Steam got demos but Switch 1 and Xbox did not.

Are we sure that this demo will be for Switch and Switch 2? Because other sources and the reply to the tweet are saying just Switch 2.

Anyway, people complain about late demos but I am thankful for this since I'm still on the fence. This demo will probably determine if I grab that the game on sale or at all.

@spiderman0616 I feel like this is the biggest problem for people who only acknowledge first party exclusives on the system. In that context, they "only" have Mario Kart and Donkey Kong to play.

Idk why people do this with Nintendo consoles but they do. I am personally enjoying the variety of first party and third party (wish there was a bit more but good so far) that is available + the mountain of Switch 1 games I still have.

I'm glad sales are good. Just hope Nintendo doesn't get complacent and keeps the momentum going.

@FishyS Given what Nintendo did with Donkey Kong, I wonder if they will release a demo in December or January for those still on the fence.

Wish more publishers were doing this. I'd be fine with paying a $5-20 fee for it if it didn't mean having to rebuy the full game with no save data transfer.

@hbkay Probably in the minority but I prefer the resolution bump. Ideally, both would have been nice.

Never expected the first game themed Switch 2 pro controller would be for Resident Evil.

I'm sure we'll see the "usual" complaints but it's cool to see Capcom going all in on the Switch 2 support.

Haven't played online since I got rank K a couple days after release on Season 1. Not looking forward to getting wrecked by whatever the current meta is.

Cool that the game is getting support. I don't do anything with Kickstarter anymore but if a Switch port materializes, I'll be interested.

@dux Yeah, TOTK has a lot of cool side characters that would make for playable characters but they'd have to either do a twist like AoC (which won't over well with fans) or give us content not tied to the story (which AoC didn't do a lot of compared to the original HW).

I imagine this is gonna be another AoC where there are several hidden unlockable characters that haven't been revealed to avoid spoilers.

Personally, I'm also hoping for some type of extra, non-story related mode that allows you to play as all the characters from AoC too. That or at least give us some TOTK characters like TOTK Link, the TOTK Sages, TOTK Purah, TOTK Paya, etc in an extra, non-story related mode.

I was a bit worried about hefty day one patch when clicking the article. The full download size is a lot easier to swallow than most of the bloated game sizes you'll see on PC and other consoles.

That said, I'm definitely gonna get this game physically.

Thanks for the interview. This is gonna be my third time buying FFVIIR but finally having a portable version is too good to pass up for me. I appreciate that they seem to be focusing on good portable performance. It feels like a lot of devs only focus on good TV mode performance while leaving the bare minimum for handheld mode which kind of defeats the purpose for me.

I haven't played Rebirth but hopefully the Switch 2 version of that and the eventual 3rd game won't have too many compromises.

Also, that Xenoblade question was bold. I wish we had gotten a more interesting answer but I appreciate Hamaguchi's honesty.

Didn't look too much at the notes to avoid spoilers but those look like some significant additional features. I don't think Hades 1 had any features to revisit story beats?

Looks good but no demo this time? Even if it was a short demo, I'd figure they would want to highlight the performance improvements compared to AoC for those on the fence.

Also, I still don't think they have shown or told us that much about the game which leads me to believe they must be holding something back to avoid spoilers.

As much as I'd like to get this day one, I'm probably gonna wait until December or January. Hopefully the internet doesn't spoil everything about the game in two weeks like usual...
