@LastFootnote I think it is intentional? If it were available at release, what would be there to stop people from just transferring high level Pokemon in to breeze through the game?

Kudos to Capcom indeed. I went from no interest in this game to buying the Generations Pack after seeing reviews were positive on both Switch 2 performance and the game overall.

Haven’t played a RE game since Revelations on 3DS. Excited to play this tomorrow.

Advertising the DLC costumes with a generic t-pose is hilarious to me.

Considering they quickly went from indefinite delay back to a firm release date, I am going to hope this is due to performance and not censorship. I never tried refunding my Switch 1 copy so hopefully the Switch 2 version will be worth the additional cost to upgrade.

I really liked the XL models so the 3DS XL and New 3DS XL are my picks.

This is the Pokémon gen I started with. The Scorbunny evolution line are my favorite Pokémon.

Its so confusing to me how reddit seems to think this is a bad upgrade due to handheld performance but I can't notice anything terrible and most non-reddit places don't seem to either.

Also, as much as I love Xenoblade Chronicles 2 the most, I hope some kind of upgrade for Xenoblade Chronicles 3 is next. That game would really benefit from a simple resolution bump.

I wish they could have had this available at Switch 2's launch but better late than never.

I am so happy for this and I already have the upgrade downloading.

I hope they optimize it with good performance and quality modes. The Steam Deck version seems to target performance so the visual quality (especially the character models) take a big hit.

Higher quality character/enemy models with slightly lower quality environment textures and 30 fps like FFVIIR would be ideal imo.

Huh, that is interesting. I had assumed Salmon was already getting re-run content. Pretty cool they kept it going with new stuff this long.

I just wish Salmon run was more fun for me to play with randoms. It seemed like once I hit "Professional" rank, shifts became more frustrating then fun due to the difficulty spikes. The long grind for shells didn't help either.

It’s frustrating how messy this situation is. I think both sides are at fault.

I really want to hope that Nintendo relaxes whatever new guidelines they have and just lets ESRB and other rating boards do their job. The only difference I can find between Cyberpunk and Dispatch is one has a realistic artstyle and the other has a cartoon artstyle.

Ad-Hoc should have simply announced that the Switch versions would be different ahead of time so that many of us weren’t completely blindsided when the game released and reviews came out.

This release should have been an easy win for Switch players. Instead, we get worry how much content is going to be restored and if the developer will even bother with the platform for future content in the series.

@LinktotheFuture Maybe yeah? It was highly discussed during its release on PC and PS5. Even before all this discourse, it was high on the eShop charts just from pre-orders.

Nothing about Nintendo’s statement says they couldn’t have simply told Ad-Hoc the game didn’t meet their standards.

That said, I’d like to hope that wasn’t the case because there’s already more explicit content in Cyberpunk and these kind of guidelines would absolutely affect some third party support.

Personally, I’m hoping we get a patch that removes the censorship but I guess I won’t hold my breath. I’m already on Chapter 4 but I’ll probably buy the game again when it goes sale again via Steam.

Edit: Also, that picture of Malevola that was edited for the eShop listing is NOT edited ingame. Monkeys paw. 🤪

This is not setting a good precedent for the start of the Switch 2 generation.

The game was at #2 on the Switch 2 eShop charts. A lot of people (myself included) are going to be upset.

Yeah, I’m hopeful for a February Direct. Personally, I want to see some more RPG announcements.

I watched the deep dive from yesterday and I think the game looks pretty good.

If it's not highly compromised, I'd be interested in a Switch 2 version.

There are a LOT of first party games that could use updates. I kind of expected we would get them more often but finding out that a bunch of these were outsourced rather than done internally was disillusioning for me.

This is probably the new dripfeed. 🫠

This is one of those games that I had no interest in initially but now that I've seen the Switch 2 reviews, it actually looks really appealing in general. I'm gonna wait and try and get through Age of Imprisonment and Three Hopes before picking this up.

The headline was immediately worrisome to me but confirmation of the theatrical AND home media releases puts me at ease.

I guess this is good for exposure. Would have been better to wait until after the movie already had its theatrical release to announce this imo.

@shoeses Except, BOTW and TOTK are only free if you have NSO. The standalone upgrades are more expensive.

Xenoblade Chronicles X: Definitive Edition was my most played game of 2025 with 110 hours. Not even done with it either lol.

99 games, 1236 hours.

1) Xenoblade Chronicles X: Definition Edition
2) Persona 5 Royal
3) Fire Emblem Three Houses.

I thought at least Cyberpunk or Pokemon would make my top 3 as the single Switch 2 game lol. But yeah, even though I'm playing Switch 2 games, that Switch 1 backwards compatibility is a great benefit for Switch 2.

I can't really decide on a favorite.
