I am curious as to how RE7 and RE Village will run as well. Shame they couldn't have had those two ports out in time for the holidays.

I watch a lot of Nintendo Life's video reviews and the ones Zion adapted were always fun.

Thankfully, I wasn't planning on playing this day one as Best Buy really messed up my pre-order and won't have it available until next Tuesday.

I am looking forward to playing this. Hopefully this and Ys Nordics are a good sign of more optimized Switch 1/2 releases from Falcom in the future.

Tbh, the improvements don’t look that great from the comparison video. That said, I guess I’ll take whatever I can get since I already own the Switch 1 version. (Still think performance is way worse than it should be)

@BaldB3lper78 Yeah some of these early Switch 2 ports are reminding me of early Switch 1 ports where optimization seemed to be non-existent. Hopefully it gets better.

Beta was fun. I mostly played the Switch 1 version on Switch 2 and a little bit of the PC version. It reminded me of everything I liked from Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed.

I'm gonna wait for the Switch 2 version of the game.

Kazutaka Kodaka, the absolute madman. Release a 100+ hour strategy adventure game and then release another 50+ adventure game a few months later.

@Sambuc The PSVita ports are how I got into the series. I still remember how Totori Plus was just shadow dropped onto the PSN lol.

Out of all those releases, I liked Atelier Meruru the most personally.

Shame we aren't getting any Switch 2 patches for Yumia and Resleriana.

Annoyed that it took this long for Nintendo and Gungho to get the Switch demo out but the little bit I played sold me.

Yeah this blows for consumers. The amount of third party games that haven't gotten Switch 2 annoucements is honestly upsetting.

If true, I hope it's not just all Mario games. A bunch? Sure but not like 70% of the Direct lol.

Also, I am hoping we get some playable characters that aren't involved in the story. And by this, I mean playable TOTK Purah. Please.

FFXIV is probably one of the few games that I would not jump ship from PC to Switch for. Hopefully more people will get to enjoy it if the port materializes but I could not play this game in handheld mode even if performance was pristine.

Now FF16 and the FFVII Remake trilogy on the other hand...

The character customization is a big improvement over the first game. Like huge.

Initial impressions of the gameplay and performance weren’t great but that’s partly due to how chaotic the first area is without giving you time to adjust to the controls.

Once I reached the second area, my opinion improved the more I played. It kind of reminds of God Eater but with mechs now.

Can we have Fallout instead? Like 3, 4 or New Vegas?

Huge announcement. Curious to see how it will run on the system. If it's decent, I may end up playing this.

Good for Batman fans.

Hopefully with the new leadership, DC will start branching out and make games for their other characters too. (Please...)

I can understand no Switch 2 native version.

What I can't understand is no Switch 2 configuration for the game on the Switch 1 version. Do they seriously think Switch 2 owners won't buy the Switch 1 version? And we know Namco has dev kits so what is the issue??

Anyway, cool announcement regardless. I'll just buy the Switch 1 version to play on Switch 2.

@JR150 After all the money they made on DBZ games on Switch 1, Bandai would have been out of their mind to not put this game on a Switch system in some way.

Given the obvious difference in install bases and how little Switch 2 is benefiting, it feels like they prioritized getting a Switch 1 version playable and then made small adjustments for a Switch 2 version.

Comparing this game to Splatoon is easy but I find comparing it Foamstars to be funnier.

Xillia is a game I'd definitely play on Switch 1/2.

That said, I wonder if the boat has passed for a Switch 2 port of Arise.

@Whirlwound I'm not saying you are wrong but what's the precedent for the first point with Bandai Namco ports? Most of their ports that I am aware of have content parity with the other console versions.

Maybe this is a silly question but why are all the Switch and Switch 2 headsets they sell wired only? I might have been interested in a slightly more expensive version with bluetooth support.

I didn't know this was a thing with Switch 1 but I've always tried to be careful with the temperature of my devices.

The Wandering Villiage is the highlight for me. Great little game that was worth the wait.

@HeadPirate While that is true for a lot of studios, what about the studios that had dev kits in advance for launch titles. Namco Bandai is the biggest culprit for this because while I'm glad the new DBZ game is coming, I had hoped they would announce ports for games like Digimon Story Time Stranger, MY HERO ACADEMIA: ALL's Justice, etc too.

Just worried this is gonna be like Switch 1's launch where we just straight up miss out on a lot of releases.

Personally, I was hoping third party devs would be more aggressive with getting their games on the system. There were some neat announcements but I expected more.

Hopefully by year 2, we will start seeing more simultaneous releases.

Kirby and the Forgotten Land - Nintendo Switch 2 Edition is the big August release for me. I'm just gonna grab the upgrade pack but I may wait until I'm finished with Bananza first to avoid genre overlap.

I'm really hoping that Trails in the Sky 1st Chapter on Switch 1 is solid port. The fact there is no Switch 2 edition or announcement of Switch 2 patch is baffling to me. Falcom should have prioritized this game on Switch 2 given the release date over Ys X Proud Nordics imo. Hopefully they don't do some stupid Definitive Edition in a year.

Pokémon Legends: Z-A - Nintendo Switch 2 Edition is a day one buy for me in October. Just deciding where to pick it up from.

So DQIII gets a free performance patch, Saga 2 gets a paid upgrade and DQI & II get nothing.

I don't understand Square Enix lol. Would have loved to see an upgrade (even paid) for DQXIS.

It's nice to see they didn't take forever on the Switch 2 edition. I was expecting Overwatch 2 before Apex.
