@MitchK yes that would be cool, except enterprise D would take forever, especially that huge disk - it would be very boring unless the power washer itself is a beast. But I like the idea!

@PKDuckman I probably shouldn’t be saying this, but the actual atom atomiswave original arcade games can be played via emulation, assuming you have the original pcbs of course. As with any of these things, I want a modern collection of well emulated games, perhaps with the option of quality of life upgrades. I don’t want cheap ass packages of game boy versions of the games, I want the original arcade games. The recent mortal kombat kollection was the closest too that, but it still includes too many crap versions of games that I’ll never play.

Let’s hop snk knock it out of the park with their plans here, fingers crossed!

Not much to the story but the rollercoaster moments were good fun. Would suit a theme park. Story was a bit lacking but I enjoyed bowersers journey. Love the slightly mental lunas, they are a little bit of edge in the film. I also enjoyed the music references to all the Easter eggs, to reaffirm which bit exactly you were watching. Little nods everywhere- 7/10

@Gryffin defo checkout dirty ho first, that has some of the most amazing martial arts with 3vs1 choreography that is second to none. I also love the theme of this one and the antique bit, con artistry and the first few scenes are great.

@Gryffin I love five elements ninja, house of traps, kid with the golden arm, one armed swordsman series, dirty ho, eight diagram pole fighter, and finally the boxer from shantung. The last one is like a martial arts scarface and it’s brilliant!

Nice to see updates! Annoying to see “several other improvements” in the release notes - developers can be so lazy! Hopefully they release some more single player content later like they did with the last game. I quite enjoy those modes!

@Ogbert I had the same thought, would rather the popcorn be separate from the figurine then would be all good. Or the egg with a yoshi in it as a holder and separate popcorn.

Oooooo this is going to cost isn’t it? Think we got a tiny kung fu panda figurine for £10, so even though this yoshi probably isn’t that much more plastic because it’s bigger it will be £100 right? Honestly if it is, or even more than £30, that’s a lot for a hunk of resin cast plastic. Sadly I would have to decline, but I’m sure a lot of people will be after it!

Which ever way - just release the damn games - especially Wii ones. I hate the NSO drip feed, I like the 4k upgrades, I don’t want to pay £17 for something I already own, but I do want it. £17 is exactly the sort of price I can swallow without it being too much, very clever Nintendo!

I’ll give this a go, although I own on PlayStation, I’ll play this beta and see how it tracks. Would be fun for some VF handheld!

When I preordered the game even said “a small update will be required on release to play the game”. So it’s a day 1 update + release date key IMO

I recently bought a virtual pinball and have been playing the three different Pokemon pinball supplied with it. Good fun! I do wish I had the room, the money, and the floorboards for a real pinball - remember these things are considered freight for a reason -they weigh multiple hundred kg!

I always loved the Japanese one of these. Just think it’s really stylish, but by the looks of things I’m in a minority as usual!

Price expectations? Probably going to be £85-90 surely?

Defo Europe! So much more stylish, not sure why they didn’t do it everywhere other than timing I guess (Japan and US versions would have been earlier that the Europe one).

Surely this means the strategy for update for this game is a paid for add on + switch 2 update? I can hold off playing this for a bit to see if the announce anything (lots of games to play), but common Nintendo!

Would be great if they released Wii games on NSO, I would love the original bowling as for some reason it still plays better than the modern one. Also Nintendo music as I completely missed that one the first time around!

@automatom tbh I would have not spotted that in a long while without it being pointed out to me. I struggle to see the “T” though, maybe that’s my dyslexia. Still, now you mention it, it’s become a little bit more obvious the design choice of this one

I guess this specific one, unopened will be worth some money in 20years time (because no one will buy it). But I can’t be arsed to wait that long! If you don’t own a switch 2 and you missed out on the Mario bundle, I still think it’s a better “new console” game than this Pokémon one so probably cheaper to buy the console + Mario kart than this edition

They left off super Mario run 35, which I actually would like back tbf as I didn’t really play it that much before it disappeared. Maybe Mario run 40?

@RenanKJ I agree with this, the wiimote and nunchuck did feel better. But don’t worry, Nintendo will have you covered with a £70 wiimote switch 2 accessory, coming later this year!*

Even though I emulate these I might buy them as well, as it’s nice to have it part of a collection like this. Question is, physical or digital? Digital suits the short sharp nature of playing a fighting game, but a cart supports resale and the future. Choices…

I like the idea of groundhog loop for this type of thing, that’s cool. Hopefully they do it for something less intense than a horror theme as that’s not really my bag, but for someone who likes that theme I hope they enjoy. I guess I would to see this in a samurai theme, still with violence, but could do a whole double cross backstory and even in black and white. That I would play for sure!

@BrokenCiv I use either the inbuilt safari content blocker or ad guard, makes the site usable from that point. Also worth considering paying for a subscription to remove the ads as well

I would much rather see a tekken collection of tekken 4-6 + tag games. At least those would be complete games with winnable characters (no DLC); that then don’t get broken over time. Surely this would be a nice cash grab for bamco but the developers of t8 are so obnoxious and stubborn we may never see this out of principle

I did notice this straight away and it’s very noticeable with a HDR HGIG OLED tv. I love the game, I’ve been trying to avoid knowing the other bananzas beyond the first three and find out when I get there with them! Got quite a few levels to go so can’t wait!

I guess this would help the palworld legal case as the Pokémon company themselves are doing exactly the same thing… oh well

Well this Sunday has become a bit more interesting! As a bit of a furry, my fav is #2 but #3 is also nice.

They could add the songs as dlc so therefore paying off the addition royalties cost? Annoying for the consumer but it would be a way round this issue. Nothing stopping you playing the game with music turned off and playing the original tracks from a streaming provider also!

Still going for a movie tie in for the next Mario game and movie, which is scheduled for April next year. But only time will tell!

I wonder how much crocs actually cost to make? I’m going to guess in the pennies and to then charge £60 for a pair… thing is, the Nintendo market is one with cash, so these will sell like hot cakes. Good move Nintendo!

The wondering village has an age of empires 2 style vibe to it, I’ll take a look once it’s released and see what it’s reviewed at.

So if Nintendo have highlighted games like this, does this mean we won’t get a direct? Or if we do, they will be first party focused for new unannounced games? Time will tell!
