UK here: I preordered the physical from Amazon.com as there is no UK physical release for the switch. How annoying!

@The_Trooper49 I've preordered from Amazon US and hopefully I'll get one, although no delivery date at current. Also it's about £50 all in all - making it pricey. What a shame! Still, hopefully it works and plays ok

If the collections of games were better - e.g. kof collection, samurai showdown+breakers collection - then it would be an easy sale. Them releasing in 15 collections all the games you want to play - you may as well buy the individual games you want and be done with it.

Hate to say it, but the capcom collections are less of a cash grab than these ones!

No physical release of marvel Vs capcom I the UK. How frustrating! Had to buy from Amazon US but might have missed it as it was "out of stock" on a pre order, so not sure what that means.

I'm in two minds as to which console to buy this on, my ps5 has the majority of fighting games but I have them on steam and a couple on the switch. Not sure I'm going to get using the TV much so steam (deck) might be the best option, although I have all these games emulated from the arcade originals so would be a bit over the top really!

Can anyone recommend a review site specifically for these add on packs? I'm struggling to find and I do wonder if they are worth it or not as my little boy is interested, but at £7 each I'm not that interested

Can anyone tell me where to pre order the switch version in the UK? My fear is it's US only and I'm going to have to pay....

This used to scare me a lot when I was very young as this whole idea of being squished by boulders used to make me jump out of skin when I used to die. It was the 80s and no computer game ratings, I bet it's a 3+ as well! Simple game really and not far off Mr do or Mr driller concepts. I would probably enjoy this now and might give it a go

7 games, maybe one of these vids a week, so end of September earliest? Currently I'm going with the Amazon placeholder of Dec 31st, so anything earlier than that is a bonus. It's definitely a autumn/winter game and not a summer game for sure.

@OorWullie yes a.launch title would be great, that along with mario game, metroid 4 and maybe a couple of NSO game cube and 3ds games, and a couple of 4k updates for switch 1 games. That would be a strong opener for sure!

I don't mind rereleases, just as long as they don't just give it netcode rollback only and lazily release that. I want training modes and even a quest mode. Soul calibre was always good with that.

In all seriousness, there were some deals for 1-2 switch at less than £15 which is probably what caused it. Tbh, this game would have been great as an NSO perk, although it's not really online. My son 5 year old loved this game for about 2 weeks, and that's about the longevity of this game.

Probably end up with a shreddie in the box the way ltd run have been going

I keep taking a look in game shops incase they have a flash sale and close that shop. But this to me is gearing for closure over Xmas or just after, so chances are game will be closed before the switch 2 is released a anyway!
Out of interest, as I don't like buying big electronics from Amazon after they burned me with a phone return, which is the best retailer or online for buying a switch 2 with a no BS returns policy that the staff are actually trained on etc in the UK? What about Smyths or Argos?

I wish I could keep up with arc system games, so many cool fighting games but never enough time to play, get good and play online. By the time I'm ready, there isn't a community for me to play against!

12 years support for a games console who's life wasn't exactly brilliant? Hats off to Nintendo, there aren't many companies that do this at all now. Sony only give everyone 1 year support, not 12!

I have a feeling I will be pre-ordering just incase. But if they can meet the demand, perhaps one of the reasons for the delay, that would be great. Killer software+available hardware would rock

It's a strange world to me this whole leak business. Seems the leakers are really just people exploiting other people (honey trap) hacking etc. they are actually bad people to get that information - either doing something illegal or grey area like stalking but not stalking. And mostly it's now about credibility of leakers Vs how they get the information. It's not journalism although they think they are, verging on the side of extreme egotistical or extreme narcissism. It's a dark side of humanity simply to just get information a couple of months early. And yet Nintendolife is happy to use Reddit gamingleaksandrumours and use it as reporting.... So it's even worse that's now used as a source of reporting, when the way this information is obtained is no better than rupert murdoch's method of hacking people's phones and tailing people. Except because it's by a layer of extension, a report on a report - it's ok.

But it's not really is it? Sign of the times, we are too short tempered and impatient to wait for the next game...

Mvc2 is a great win! I wonder if they will make it like the Dreamcast version where you have to buy* extra chars and costumes? Think that took me 50 hours on the DC to unlock and that would be great fun to do again!

If they included the controllers I would have considered buying like the Japanese version, but as for this version is just really nostalgic junk!

Mine is always a game that lasts no more than 20mins, but has Replayability. My definitive example is always marvel Vs capcom 2 - each game, 10 mins, overall I clocked 50 hours getting all the characters and costumes. Virtua tennis, soul calibor map modes are also examples. So each iteration of a game - no more than 10mins, but overall - 70 hours is fine.
Having said that, as a family person now, I struggle to find an hour a week!

@SuperRetroArt not really, it's only 1 developer and the person actually said about a day after release they were looking at rebalancing and making more jokers useful. Also there are still more features to be added which will add some more depth to the game.
I haven't seen anyone just give up. Normally people quit but always come back quickly. It's a good game in that sense - it's harsh enough to stop you playing 24/7 but additive enough to pick up for an hour a day and get a couple of runs in.

@Joeynator3000 I thought I was just rubbish but seems unless you play this game 24/7 and you're a noob, you get no real help anywhere. I've only just completed 5 decks after about 30 hours, i.e. I've only won the game 5 times in 30 hours!
It's very hard - basically my current tactic is to level up pairs to the extreme and grab jokers around that that add x multipliers. Still doesn't gauretee a win however! Also for the first two ante's, never skip any of them as you need the money and the jokers, not just the jokers (if given away free).

I feel I've turned a corner but yer it's bloody difficult this game!

The entire Dreamcast backlog wouldn't go amiss, sonic adventure 2, soul Caliber 2, shemnue (on the move this would be amazing). Basically I miss my Dreamcast and would happily play the games again if they were available

@JohnnyMind even the usual manufacturers you have to be careful as there are fakes, wrongly advertised and also used ones being sold as new (having their rewrite counter set to zero). It's an absolute minefield and basically I've just stopped ordering most things from Amazon as I really don't want this hassle and have to deal with refund procedures of bad resellers. Although even when buying retail you still have to be careful!

This is just cruel. A few games and you will be hooked, best to either just admit it and buy the damn game or don't play at all. You have been warned, it's still got my most played hours of any game....

Not one mention of the doomsday zone? That was simply awesome! Mushroom hill was also quite chilled and fun.

Looks like a mix of GP2 on the pc and virtua racing. Sadly that will be a pass from me - I've got virtua racing and that's enough. These games don't typically have much depth, Forza generally has the right level of depth for me.

Well I wasn't going to buy it for some time (as too many other recent games) but this makes it sound like a brilliant purchase. Tempting for sure!

Shame they don't keep all these 99 games running all of the time, they are simple pure genius fun and I find I play these sort of games more often.

I had this on pc and man this was a dark game. Doom at least was a bit comical but this was sinister and silent until baddies came out of nowhere. The colours were dark and not bright, and the level design was confusing. It was really sinister for a young teen and I'm not sure it's worth a remaster because I don't want to open that nightmarish box again!

My 5 year old son likes to play this however it has some bizarre frustrating physics when going upside down or when jumping with any monster truck and landing it's pretty much 50/50 landing properly Vs bouncing off in any random direction. It's also heavy on DLC and too costly for not much. I'm happy with it on gamepass but I don't think it should be anywhere else....

As a software engineer, this is why I didn't go into gaming - it's far too cutthroat and exploitative of the developers, playing on the fact a lot of people want to become game designers, therefore large supply and the same demand = cheaply paid Devs. I went the system integration route which isn't flash but it's interesting and has paid me well for nearly 20 years so far.

And I was expecting some sort of low grade mario game for the blueray. I guess they will pump the money into a new game based on the film and a new film so they can maximize profits!
