Perfect 17 out of 17. Child's play. Now to be a show-off:
Only games not answers here that Zelda appears in are Zelda II The Adventure of Link, Four Swords Adventures, Twilight Princess original release, Phantom Hourglass (only as Tetra), Skyward Sword HD and the Zelda Game & Watch.
The games she does not physically appear in all still reference her in some way:
-Link's Awakening original, DX, and remake (Link mistakes Marin for Zelda upon waking up from being shipwrecked)
-Majora's Mask (she appears in a flashback teaching Link the Song of Time)
-Tri Force Heroes (her dress is one of the game's many outfits)
Studio Ghibli or Cartoon Saloon would be my first choices for a Zelda movie but I could also see DreamWorks pulling it off. Illumination was fine for Mario and could be fine for Kirby or even Splatoon but Zelda is not a good fit for the studio.
As much as I would prefer recent games based on horror franchises to be more than just another Dead By Daylight with the online-multiplayer focused format (my disappointment was immeasurable when I found out the recent Evil Dead game was exactly that), it is definitely a shame to see so my devs' hard work and players' progress just wiped away like that just because of some legal nonsense.
With Mystery Tower here, I'm still holding out hope that Mysterious Murasame Castle will make its way to Switch Online but in the mean time, I'm glad Blaster Master Enemy Below got added since it was one of the 3rd party GB/GBC games I was hoping for the most and seeing the original Harvest Moon get added is a nice surprise after it initially skipped the non-Japanese version of the service.
Hope they have fun with it but I won't be watching as due to personal reasons, I'm no fan of Critical Role despite loving Matt Mercer and most of the voice actors that are series regulars.
Not opposed to more games like Splatoon but got to say that much like PlayStation All-Stars before it, this game is pretty brazen in not hiding what it's inspired off of.
Sony just went full "look at this chart" without providing any real research or statistics hoping people will be satisfied with a pretty picture and move on. This is embarrassing.
Even if most episodes were basically hour long commercials, as someone who is nostalgic for the magazine, it was nice to have one last remnant of Nintendo Power in the form of this podcast so unfortunate to see it go.
Oh, wow. I remember seeing the commercial for this as a small Pokémon-obsessed child and immediately begged my parents for it. It was a pretty boring toy all things considered but I was fully suckered in to PokéMania so I didn't care.
Who would have guessed such a simple toy would be this big of a point of contention but I guess that's Nintendo of Japan for you, especially when Yamauchi was still calling the shots.
Well, that's a shame but can't say I'm too surprised with how little we've heard/seen about this Switch port and how this game apparently underperformed on other consoles which I imagine would cause Disney to not want to risk a version that would require additional time and resources.
As much as I adore his work on Zelda, Mario Galaxy, Mario Kart and Splatoon, one game Nagamatsu composed for that should not be slept on is Nintendo Land; that game was loaded some of the most charming Nintendo arrangements ever.
Wish Mr. Nagamatsu all the best in his future endeavors and hope he returns to work on future Nintendo projects as a freelancer.
Hoping that Trucy and Athena eventually get Nendoroids as well but considering that Apollo tends to be the exception for Capcom's original trilogy bias, I'm not going to hold my breath.
Having none of the Sega games is a sure-fire way to make sure I don't get this but I suppose at least it's better than that Bill & Ted collection they released; who was even asking for that?
Don't see much reason to use the Animal Crossing style visuals other than tapping into something popular to get more people talking about the PSA but at least it's a generally okay PSA and not one of those awful "Truth" ads.
Said it before and will say it again: if you want a less dramatized, more true-to-life retelling of this story, watch the Gaming Historian's documentary on the history of Tetris: https://youtu.be/_fQtxKmgJC8
With Fire Emblem Path of Radiance, Paper Mario The Thousand-Year Door, F-Zero GX, Pikmin 1 & 2, Metroid Prime 2 Echoes, Kirby Air Ride, Wario World, and even some 3rd party games like Skies of Arcadia Legends and Viewtiful Joe all right there, Melee is one of the last Gamecube games I would want to see get the HD remaster/remake treatment.
Couldn't help but crack a smile hearing the Flipnote frog croak again; spent a lot of time messing around with the DSi version of that app in high school.
Recently finished this game and while it certainly has its flaws, I still had a really good time with it and am looking forward to the further content updates.
Okay, what is even happening at the Pokémon Company right now?? I get they've always been in the business to make money off of anything they can slap a Pikachu face on but in the past few years, they've seem to gone completely mad with greed. Going all in on microtransaction-heavy mobile games largely targeting children, partnering with a company as foul as Tencent, releasing games that are clearly unfinished and/or buggy and now the news of them expressing interest in the whole blockchain/NFT scheme. The company has always been greedy, yes but at least they were able to maintain some semblance of decency.
"Not much personality"? I see we're continuing the narrative that characters absolutely need to have complex storylines/motivations in order to have "personality" when golden age characters like Mickey Mouse, Popeye, or the Looney Tunes tend to have straightforward stories but easily identifiable and beloved personalities. The Mario cast is no different with the voice talents and animation in the games communicating their personalities with very few words.
Still looking forward to seeing this movie but wow, this guy is really passively taking a slap at not only the games' animators but at professional voice actors, which is ironic when the movie features the likes of Kevin Michael Richardson (as well as celebrities well-versed in voice acting like Jack Black and Keegan-Michael Key).
Stuff like this is why I find cloud gaming so horrifying: you never actually own a copy of the game you pay full price for and the publisher can just choose to shut down their server and make the game inaccessible whenever they please. This is a very audience-hostile direction for the industry to go.
The fact that most cloud versions of games tend to be the worst way to experience these games is just the icing on this awful cake.
Only reason I say that I'll eventually get it is because my preorder seems to keep being pushed back. Suppose this is the universe punishing me for using Amazon.
Have a feeling that if Sega actually made a new Sonic game for the 32X or Saturn, it likely would have looked something like this revisiting the pre-rendered style of games like Sonic 3D Blast or the cancelled Sonic X-treme.
Definitely a story worthy of being made into a movie to be perfectly honest, shame I don't have Apple TV+ to even see how it is.
Also if anyone has never heard this story, would
highly recommend watching the Gaming Historian's video about the history of Tetris; it has more drama and twists than a Shyamalan movie. https://youtu.be/_fQtxKmgJC8
Personally, I don't think I would have even noticed if it wasn't pointed out but I can understand his frustration spending months to get them to look a specific way only for it to be completely changed.

Looks like a traditional Prince of Persia game combined with Metroid Dread or even the Strider reboot from a few years ago.
Okay, Ubisoft, I'll bite: you have my attention.
