As much as I enjoy when box art goes all out featuring a game's core cast, think the North American/European art better captures the more serious/somber tone of the Prime series.

Conker is the pretty obvious choice but I personally would adore if Nightmare Creatures got added.

As someone who got engaged to their partner while we were cosplaying as Tangle & Whisper from the IDW comics, I might be a little bit bias in saying I'd love to see the IDW characters appear in a mainline game.

Was hoping it'd be at the Shedd Aquarium since I'm close enough to Chicago to make day trips there but guess too bad.

@Fizza Can't help but wonder if the lower average score for the original can be attributed to some of the critics at the time that docked points for it being "too similar" to the original Paper Mario.

Hoping the employees of these closed studios are able to find new work at other studios or just in general.
As sad as I am for Tango, I feel really bad for Arkane Austin specifically; they showed they had potential with Prey back in 2017 but then were done dirty being given such little dev time and resources for Redfall which turned out to be a flop and now they're getting shuttered when they didn't stand a chance.
Despite the good-guy persona they try to push among gamers, Microsoft is truly as evil as any other publisher.

A real shame to see another otherwise well received game just getting kneecapped on Switch by the hardware.

Got this game the day it released and absolutely love it. Indie devs have really been killing it with 3D platformers as of late.

Bit of an obvious one that everyone has asked for but WayForward doing a Wario Land game would be a dream come true.

Honestly, unless you're a major diehard fan of the 2012 series (don't get me wrong, I like the show quite a bit myself) and NEED to play a game as those specific versions of the Turtles, I don't see any reason to play this game on Switch when Shredder's Revenge exists, is cheaper and does everything better.

@rjejr Steam and having since getting home and playing the Switch demo since last commenting, I can confirm it's a slightly updated version of the most recent previously relased demo.

@rjejr They've released a few demos for early builds on PC already; this Switch demo is likely either similar to or is a slightly updated version of those in-progess PC demos.

Honestly, I completely forgot about Silksong when Antonblast showed up; I backed this game on Kickstarter and absolutely LOVED the demo they released on PC and have been eagerly awaiting its release since. Will definitely be trying the Switch demo as soon as I get home later today.

Respect the heck out of Baldur's Gate 3, would be playing it obsessively like everyone else if I had the means to, but nobody can convince me that two characters from it being on here is anything other than recency bias.

I mean, like most big companies, Sony tends to be really prideful when it comes to their reputation so I wouldn't be surprised if they looked at the Switch rapidly approaching the PS2's originally provided sales figures and suddenly said it sold even more but that doesn't change that both consoles are fantastic systems and that the sales figures don't matter at the end of the day except to petty fanboys and company executives.

Funny how I just heard of this game in one of NitroRad's videos and he mentioned they should put it on the Switch and now here it is.

Between the debacle of Knights of the Old Republic 2's DLC and now this collection being a complete mess, I don't think I want that Rogue Squadron remaster I've been begging for anymore...

Little disappointed by no Fire Emblem Engage spirits but guess the Smash fandom would have had a conniption at the sight of any more Fire Emblem characters even being referenced.

I recently received the physical release of Arkham Trilogy for my birthday earlier this month and I haven't even bothered installing Arkham Knight; sounds like that's not about to change any time soon.

I liked the 2012 series quite a bit and this doesn't look too bad but...for thirty dollars when you can get Shredder's Revenge for five less or bundled with the DLC for the same price? Yikes, definitely would be waiting on a sale for this one.

While we have no idea what the game itself is like yet, I loved Legends Arceus despite its shortcomings so the idea of a new Legends game (and NOT rushed out this year) was probably my best case scenario from today's presentation since I honestly don't want any more remakes after BDSP was a total letdown.

Excited to see Epic Mickey get another shot but hopefully the camera was the first thing to be fixed because dear lord, it could get bad in the original release even by 90s 3D platformer standards.

While Rogue Squadron was my personal most wanted Star Wars remaster/enhanced port, the first two Battlefront games returning is still AMAZING news.

I mean, I like Superstars for the most part but it was NOT a $60 game and Sega were fooling themselves thinking it would sell better at that price when even setting aside it and Mario Wonder releasing days apart, Mania and Origins are also still widely available and are considered much more high quality 2D Sonic games at cheaper prices.

Not surprising Pokémon gets a whole wave to itself but admittedly feels a little too much on the safe side when the previous wave had Hades, 13 Sentinels and Power Pros of all things.
Heck, even the first wave had a good mix of new 1st party releases being represented so Scarlet/Violet could have easily shared a wave with, say, Fire Emblem Engage, Mario Wonder, WarioWare Move It or Bayonetta Origins but leave it to Nintendo to roll out the red carpet for Pokémon alone as it stutters and clips through said carpet.

As someone who grew up with the CD-i Zelda & Mario cutscenes via YouTube Poops over the years and thought that the games themselves actually had a lot of potential if developed better, I'm genuinely excited for this game.

And that CD-i style controller is just hilariously going the extra mile.

Don't think they realize that nobody is asking for a FF6 remake in the style of 7 Remake/Rebirth.

Hades has become one of my favorite games ever so seeing it represented with even just a Spirit in Smash Bros. makes me so happy.

As much as I want to belive in Ace Attorney 7, I'm guessing an Investigations duology collection is what's in store in the next few years; which don't get me wrong, it would be great to finally officially get Investigations 2 out of Japan but I don't want to think about how long of a gap it's been since Spirit of Justice...

I know y'all didn't just make StreetSmash a poll option but not Smash Run.

One game I would note is missing here is AntonBlast, the throwback to GBA-era platformers that pretty clearly wears its Wario Land 4 inspiration on its sleeve. While no release date or even window has been given yet, the devs have said they're shooting for a 2024 release date and if the Steam demo I've played is any indication, this will for sure be a game for anyone like me who has been starved for a new Wario Land game.

Also of what's not listed here, pretty excited that Freedom Planet 2 will finally be Switch-bound this year.

Would be wonderful if Konami would play ball so we could get not only the N64 Goemon and Bomberman games on the service but for the NES, SNES and Gameboy as well.
Other than those though, mostly holding out hope for Mischief Makers, Rayman 2, and Mega Man 64 to appear (unless Capcom decides they want to make a MM Legends collection that I would totally buy if they did, wink wink...).

As great as Rocket Knight Adventures is and as enjoyable as the Felix the Cat games are as far as licensed games from around that time go, at this point I just want Konami to do a retro collection for Goemon or Bomberman.

And I was about to start college when OoT 3D released.

Oatchi for Smash

Best boy Oatchi definitely is my favorite.

And while Fire Emblem Engage is admittedly a little "eh" on its original characters (especially next to previous entries), I would say there can be a case made for Yunaka being the breakout star of Engage even if I personally prefer Chloe and Timerra.

I remember loving this game on Steam a few years ago so would love to play it again on Switch; just somewhat curious how it will be played with a controller when the original control scheme was so centered on the mouse/keyboard set up.
