While we wait, we've been preparing by diving back into Hyrule to reacquaint ourselves with old friends and stomping grounds in both BOTW and HW:AOC (hmm, the abbreviation for Age of Calamity doesn't quite have the same ring to it). Revisiting those games, it's reminded us just how great Link's sagely support network of champions is, not to mention their descendants.
We enjoyed their presence in BOTW, of course (Daruk's Protection is now ready to roll! ), and the Champion's Ballad DLC shined a brighter light on them, but one of Age of Calamity's greatest strengths was showcasing Mipha, Revali, Urbosa, and Daruk so much better as Link's old friends and allies. It genuinely enhanced our appreciation and affection for them when we returned to BOTW, and it also prompted us to pick up that great amiibo four-pack.
You could do some real damage with Daruk's amiibo But which one is our favourite? It's tough to choose. Some people will go by personality, while others might rank them by the usefulness of the abilities they bestow on Link. Revali's Gale was a lifesaver — or at least a time saver — but the abilities are all so handy in the field, and each Champion is so likeable (in their own way), that picking one is a real challenge.

Daruk

He's not only a natural leader, but also a mighty fighter with a big heart. Well-loved by his fellow Gorons, Daruk is a powerful ally in helping Link vanquish the threat of Calamity Ganon.
Mipha

She is the beloved princess of the Zora tribe, and the elders of the tribe still remember her incomparable kindness. Aside from her role as a Champion, Mipha was also a valued friend to Link all those years ago.
Revali

A member of the skyward Rito tribe, he's a skilled pilot who can be a tad arrogant at times. Even though he's a Champion, Revali resents Link for being the hero of Hyrule.
Urbosa

She is a fearsome warrior and a credit to her people, the Gerudo tribe. Though she has a fiery personality, Urbosa cares deeply about Princess Zelda and the fate of Hyrule.
