Married Lissa. I thought the interactions between her and Robin were funny and sweet and Lissa herself is just such a cute ball of sunshine that isn't afraid to put her foot down at the end of the day. Also Owain is the best son, I will not be debating this.

There's something to be said about the simplicity of the Japanese box but gotta go with the North American box art for how colorful and alive it is.

This unfortunately checks out; when my partner and I met Jeannie Tirado (female Byleth) to get our special edition box for Three Houses signed, she commented how she had never even seen the special edition for the game.

Already shared this one on Twitter but I rather enjoy this little tidbit as a fan of both series: in Pikmin 2, the treasure "Cosmic Archive" is a Famicom disk of Nazo no Murasamejou (aka The Mysterious Murasame Castle), the game Takamaru is from.
Pikmin and Mysterious Murasame Castle would later cross over again in Smash Bros. and Nintendo Land.

REALLY hope this makes it to the West; always wanted to pick up this game after watching TheRunawayGuys play it but didn't want to have to spend nearly $200 on the Wii version.

I don't usually go out of my way to buy Jakks Pacific's Mario toys (I have enough shelf space taken up by amiibo, Nendoroids, and other figurines) but I have a mighty need for that Bowser.

It looks good still but not sure what the point would be at a Nintendo theme park in ordering a cake that doesn't even look like the one from Mario 64 when I could easily just commission a cupcake that looks just like it from a local bakery/sweet shop for much less.
If I'm going to buy overpriced snacks at a theme park, I would at least want the novelty of getting something I couldn't easily get elsewhere.

Assuming Sora is still a no-show since guessing Disney wants him to solely be in the spotlight when his amiibo releases.

The more people playing Monster Hunter Rise, the better but lack of crossplay really puts a damper on this news.

It's all funny and then you remember that this is a brand-new, full-priced release for one of the biggest media franchises in the world and then it just becomes depressing again.

While I do enjoy some Maple Treeway, Peach Gardens and Rock Rock Mountain, 3DS Rainbow Road is hands down the highlight of this wave; so glad to finally see it back, especially after its Smash Bros. stage didn't make the cut in Ultimate.
Still holding out hope for Airship Fortress from DS and Wario Colosseum from Double Dash but a really solid wave here regardless.

I swear Shadow's quills get wider and/or larger with each new spin-off he shows up in. I fully expect him to have full-on Yu-Gi-Oh style hair in a few years.

But jokes aside, designs look decent I'd say. Wouldn't mind seeing characters like Blaze or Cream show up and seeing how they fare in this style.

@myMaudlinCareer Considering previous Double Dragon games, that's surprisingly a more complicated question than you'd think.

Every console on the service could use a bit more Konami/Hudson Soft love. Some Goemon and Bomberman games on the service could go a long way; Bomberman especially killed in on the N64 so it's a crime his 64-bit outings are still a no-show.

@Clyde_Radcliffe I disagree; women are perfectly capable of being beautiful and buff and I think Marian strikes that perfectly.

Marian buffed up her abs so incapacitating punches to the stomach from kidnappers no longer work, I love it. She's probably the character I'm most excited to play as.

As much as I love Celica, I'm hoping they don't forget Alm as well; he's been tending to get sidelined in favor of only Celica lately I noticed and it just feels incomplete without both of them.

A shame since Taylor basically made the character all her own in the first two games but Hale is voice-over royalty that will no doubt do Bayo justice so can't really complain over that recast. Still sad to see Taylor go but not any less excited for 3.

I don't want to acknowledge it and I know nobody else wants to acknowledge it but...if we're bringing Rogue Corps into the conversation, think this ranking isn't complete without us acknowledging the Contra Force elephant in the room.

Both are really good covers but I do like how the Western cover gives a little preview of X in his enhanced armor as if to tease the player what they could be capable of playing the game. That and Japanese cover loses a few "cool" points with Sigma looking like he's waving and yelling "HEY GUYS!" with that goofy face he's got.

Looks cute and fun but will say that it's crazy to me that this is the first side-scrolling console game starring Mickey since 2013 and the first completely original one since 1995.

Considering Catherine Full Body ran pretty well on Switch, I'd imagine that Persona 5 Royal, which runs on the same original engine, will be just fine too but would still would like to see if for myself.

Likely just a move to be able to release the game in Belgium and other countries that have outlawed games with loot boxes but still will take it as a pro-consumer victory.
Too bad this update won't actually make the game control less like garbage.

While I'm going to keep my expectations in check (for every decent Super Bomberman R, there's a Metal Gear Surivive or a Contra Rogue Corps), I am hoping at the very least to someday get a Goemon collection that finally brings the NES and SNES games to the West.

"OH NO, HE'S HOT!" seems to be most of the reactions I've been seeing online, really.

NA/Europe for sure; has a lot going on and the emulation of the original comics' art style is nice while the Japanese cover is is a bit too basic with that typical TMNT cartoon key art that's used with everything Turtles related on (admittedly relevant) background and comes across as a little on the basic side.

This gives me hope that we'll see more active roles from characters other than Tails, Knuckles, and Amy; personally hoping to see Blaze return outside of a glorified cameo.

Aaaand Popful Mail and the Lunar games were left out for the West while Sewer Shark got added. Dang it, I jinxed it with my previous comment...

Not a fan of the series this was originally a fangame of but this still looks like a fun and polished fighter that almost gives me vibes of a family-friendly Skullgirls; might grab it when it drops on Switch.

Usually, simplicity is best for a series like Zelda but the Japanese art looks the most appealing and shows a scene that properly communicates what makes Minish Cap unique.

Reminds me of the Phoenix Wrong mashup parodies I would watch on Newgrounds and YouTube back in middle/high school.

Will admit that while I adore the first two Splatoon games, I've been struggling to drum up excitement for this third entry outside of some of the implications the trailers have had for the series' surprisingly deep lore. Hoping thay this time around, they put more focus on taking what they did with Octo Expansion and building on that for the single player mode to make something truly robust and lengthy compared to the previous two games' campaigns.
That and being able to just play Salmon Run whenever we want wouldn't hurt.

Just waiting on Square Enix to somehow work an NFT into this picture book.

While not confirmed yet, makes sense the game would end up be delayed from summer considering WayForward has been relatively sparse about updates lately but the first game was so good that I'm willing to wait for them to make the sequel even better.

As jazzed as I am for the return of Waluigi Pinball and Mushroom Gorge, it's Sky-High Sundae that has my attention the most; especially since there wasn't much indication before that the Booster Pass would include brand-new courses. Makes me wonder what else they might have in store...
