Mimikyu is my all time favourite. Decidueye is my second so I guess I'm just a trend follower in gen VII 😅 Not many of my other choices made it though, not even for runner ups 👎 1 Blastoise 2 Crobat 3 Sceptile 4 Garchomp 5 Volcarona 6 Goodra 7 Mimikyu 8 Appletun 9 Touros
New 3ds XL, my only one. I was late to the party with this one (vita teen). I only got it about a year or two before the switch came out so twas a brief time I had with it. It introduced me to fire Emblem and rekindled a fire with Pokémon and Zelda so overall it was a good time.
Touros's new variant. I called him Mox after the Aew wrestler. I had to remind myself who was in this gen too be honest. And looking through the list I didn't recognise the majority of them. But of a weak gen. I did get reminded about Great tusk and Iron Tread though, they weren't too bad.
Mimikyu. I love a good design that tells a story. Double points if it's a bit tragic 👍 This is only the second of these polls I haven't had to think about my answer. And that's cool as this gen is one of the stronger ones in my opinion.
Goodra. Got a shiny one to boot. I've got a bit of a soft spot for gen vi. Despite all the issues (many issues) I have with it I can't help but love it. The roster ain't the best but there are a good few I like a lot like Greninja, Braixen, Pangoro, Hawlucha.
Volcarona. Whilst I enjoyed playing gen v and the fact that they decided to use all new mons, I'm not particularly in love with any of the critters. Volcarona has a pretty cool design so I guess it wins by a lack of any other challenges.
Garchomp. There aren't loads of mon from this gen that I like but those I do I love like Lucario, Munchlax, Luxray, Staraptor, Gliscor, Honchkrow. As to why it's Garchomp, probably because Cynthia's kicked my ass so much that when I claimed my own I felt like a god. Also damn this gen for ruining Aipom with his Evo.
Sceptile. This is the first of the polls I haven't had to think about my answer. When I first played gen 3 I didn't think that much of the treecko line. It was when I saw grovyle and later Sceptile in the anime that I finally 'got' him. I thereon forth for gen 3 runs choose treecko and Leaf Blade became my favourite attack. Kinda wish it stayed exclusive to his line though.
Crobat. He fully redeemed those stupid, annoying, cave dwelling bats. What an absolute boss. I never had a lot of fondness for gen 2 despite it being the popular one. But as I checked the full roster of mons I realised I may have underestimated how many greats it introduced. Entai, Amphoros, Aipom, Magnesium, Fraligatr, eevee evos, gligar, heracross.
The duskbloods is the only thing i can think off that i'd be more than just curious in. Hopefully more than anything this direct will have a few new reveals.
Fire Emblem's number one for certain. My initial reaction to the dusk bloods was the same as a lot of people after finding out it was an online game, but after giving nightreign a go last December I'm all up for it now. Resident Evil and PRAGMATA look great but those are ps5 games for me. I hope the Yoshi game is good, love that fella but his games have been hit or miss to say the least.
Would love a big ol' direct but I'm not holding my breath. If there was one, fire Emblem release date and a clearer picture on Splatoon Raiders would suffice. Whatever Monolift is doing or a teaser for Zelda would be awesome though.
Sounds about right, though my favourite games I've played this year on my switch/switch 2 are the smaller indies I completed at the begining of the year like Slay the Princess and 1000Xresist.
After recently playing elden ring nightreign my excitment for duskblood has gone through the roof. Didnt think id get along with an online fromsoft game but i guess i shouldnt have counted them out. Fire emblem looks awesome too. Easily my most wanted nintendo game. It would take a zelda or xenoblade game i think to take its crown.
Between the switch 1 + 2 I've only played 7 games in 2025, only 4 of which released this year and only two which I've completed so far. So I don't really have a large enough coverage to judge properly. Silksong would be my goty though, one of the games I haven't finished yet 😅 Gotta make it last until Fire Emblem.
It's good that they're slowly fixing these, but i wish they'd update a few more games for the switch 2. I'm surprised stuff like xenoblade x hasn't had a boost yet.
Stuff I haven't played before hopefully, and I'm well into silksong at the moment so I don't need or even want anything urgently. I guess a few exciting announcements to fill up next year a bit, maybe Splatoon Raiders and a new Fire Emblem perhaps and I'll be content.
It's fine. Nothing to write home about. Mario Kart World feels like a bit of a downgrade from what 8 offered, knockout mode was its redeeming gimmick. Bananza was great but the gameplay loop became very repetitive around the two thirds mark. The endgame also just kind of ended even though it felt like it was building up to something cool. Left a bit of a sour taste in my mouth. Pretty much all the third party stuff I've played elsewhere (if you hadn't then it's probably been pretty good). Overall the switch 2 hasn't been too bad but I wouldn't recommend one yet.
I'm use to long waits (Ueda fan here) so it didn't bother me.
What does make me a little uneasy is how unforgiving the internet will be on them if this isn't some 10/10 masterpiece (expectations that it shouldn't have)
Blue prince is the only one I really want. Haven't played it yet and it looks like something that suits the switch. Maybe master chief collection too, they can keep infinite though.
Donkey Kong Bananza of course. I've got over 350 bananas and I believe there's over 700 altogether so I'm making good progress. So far I'd call it a solid 8/10 with my biggest complaint being how it feels like I'm just controlling one character, Pauline doesn't feel necessary to the game experience yet but from what I have gathered the games a bit back loaded so hopefully my nitpicks shall be solved there. Either way I'm still enjoying it a lot.
Ring fit as usual. I've recently finished mario Odyssey, Scarlets endgame, Echoes of wisdom and Splatoon 3's campaign, as well as putting in a decent amount of hours into mario kart World. With the splatfest next weekend and DK the week after I think this weekend will be a quite one gaming wise. I'm also considering death stranding 2 over on ps5 but I'm not in the mood for a overly long game at the moment so I think I'll wait.
I wouldn't say anything's got me too excited this year from nintendo yet, if I had waited to play split fiction on switch 2 that would have probably been it.
Finished Super Mario Odyssey this morning for the second time since launch. I stand by it that it's a overall 7/10 but that's not a bad score, loved New Donk City and Bowsers Kingdom. Also finished the end game of Scarlet. I don't really know what to play on my switch 2 now until Bananza. Mario Kart World is starting to wear thin, I've beaten Odyssey, Splatoon 3 and Echoes of Wisdom so in fairness I've had a good amount from this new console so far.

@InnocentMaiden Touros was a beast. MVP of my gen 9 team for certain.

Re: Poll: Will You Be Getting Pokémon FireRed Or LeafGreen On Switch?
I want arcanine so firered it is
Re: Poll: What's Your Favourite Gen 8 Pokémon?
Appletun and its not even close. Like.... really, REALLY not close. Second place may as well have stayed home.
Re: Nintendo Seemingly Rules Out Virtual Console Revival, Says It Remains Focused On Offering Classics Via Switch Online
I rarely subscribe to nso (usually for certain splatfest) so I'm glad I can buy firered separately. I do miss the virtual console releases.
Re: Pokémon FireRed And LeafGreen Officially Revealed For Switch
People last gen, "Why are Nintendo not selling these games separately like the 3ds instead of forcing me to buy a subscription!"
People now it seems, "It's a rip off! What do you mean I have to buy it!"
I didn't realise how much the gaming community had changed on this stance in this short of time. It's taken me a bit by surprise.

Re: Poll: What's Your Favourite Gen 2 Pokémon?
@UltimateOtaku91 Good picks. It's appears Ampharos is more popular than I thought. Completely deserved though

And the whole thing's on YouTube for free, my afternoon was well spent.
Re: Poll: So, Will You Be Getting Super Mario Galaxy + Super Mario Galaxy 2 For Switch?
If they ever go on sale I will, otherwise it's too pricey for what looks like a fairly basic port.

I'll be getting to bananza at some point this weekend.
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? (12th July)
There's a heatwave where I am so no ring fit adventure this time. I'll stick to the splatfest #Team Fly.
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? (5th July)
Ring fit as usual.
I've recently finished mario Odyssey, Scarlets endgame, Echoes of wisdom and Splatoon 3's campaign, as well as putting in a decent amount of hours into mario kart World.

Re: Talking Point: How Are You Finding Mario Kart's Open World?
I played around a little in free roam and can't seem to find the point. Knockout mode is where it's at.
Re: Fans Have Noticed Someone's Name Is Missing From Mario Kart World's Credits
Perhaps he didn't even want his name in the credits, instead giving all the spotlight to the Devs that are actually making these games.
