Re: Hands On: Pokémon Scarlet & Violet's Performance Distracts From Neat New Features And Flourishes

Nf157

I don’t mind about the visuals but hopefully the performance is improved before launch. I’m quite easy going and forgiving when it comes to these things though (I grew up played the fallouts and Skyrim on ps3….).
But maybe it would have been better for them to have released this game next fall and have a big expansion for Arceus here instead. That might have been better but we’ll see.

Re: Talking Point: What's Your Favourite Music Track From A Nintendo Game?

Nf157

I don't feel ready to answer this without regret but I'll try.
'Nasty Majesty' from Splatoon 2! What a killer song! Made that octo expansion trailer infinitely rewatchable!
Runners ups for me would be 'Clock Town, first day' from Majora's Mask, 'Cynthia's Theme' from Diamond and Pearl, 'Three Houses Main theme' from Fire Emblem, 'Miror B. Battle' from XD Gale of darkness and I'm sure countless more but my comment has to end eventually 😅
Edit, Oh and 'Jump Up, Super Star' from Odyssey

Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? (October 8th)

Nf157

@KilloWertz Breath of the Wild is one of those games that got better the more I played it.
For about the first 20-30 hours I thought it was good but overrated. After that I thought it was really good. And then on my second playthrough I really felt like I was playing soemthing truly great. (155 hours altogether and I think if possible I'll try to go back to it before Tears of the Kingdom).
Story (in terms of script) is definitely light to say the least. It goes more for an emotive story (best way I could describe it, kind of like atmospheric, environmental storytelling kind of experience. Perhaps a more straightforward and streamlined take on the souls style of storytelling)
But it is absolutely worth it. DLC not so much though 👎

Finally finalised Neon White. What a game! Highly recommended by me.
I’ve returned to Xeno 3 after a short break, and have played Stray on PlayStation plus extra which I’ve bought for a month. That didn’t last long so now I’m replaying Final Fantasy 7 in preparation for part two/Crisis Core later.

Re: Splatoon 3 Announces A Pokémon-Themed Splatfest, Coming In November

Nf157

I was really hoping they'd do this! Hype! Best possible splatfest they could do!
Ironically it's on the weekend God of Wars out so I guess Kratos will have to wait a bit!
But who am I siding with? It's either grass or water. Me and my brother will finally be on opposite sides as there's no way he's not choosing fire.

Re: Talking Point: What's The Worst Game That You Still Love For Some Reason?

Nf157

Dragon Age 2. I mean it’s no origins but I like it enough. The Qunari took a much bigger role which was great considering they weren’t elves or dwarfs. The Hawke family drama and Mage/Templar conflict where half decent. The combat felt a bit punchier (still wasn’t great though), and a lot of the previous races like elves and Qunari felt more distinct to each other.
The game had weaknesses but it think it’s a bit over hated personally.
Another game that I loved (but I haven’t played since I was a kid so maybe it actually was bad) is Shadow The Hedgehog. Plenty of good memories with that one. Great music, edgy AF protagonist, branching missions, shadow had a bike even though he has super speed!

Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? (October 1st)

Nf157

I'm almost at the end if Neon White after playing it for quite a few weeks now. I've platinumed run every course (+gift) so far which has slowed me down but I don't mind, really good game and I'm getting sad at the thought its almost over.
But that means a new spot will open for another game to fill. I'm thinking either Sin and Punishment, Cult of the Lamb, Mark of the ninja, The World ends with you, New Pokémon Snap or maybe something on sale like the Messenger or Cross Code.
My playthroughs of Xeno 3, Ringfit and Splatoon 3 continue and I'm not in a rush to finish those either!

Re: Nintendo Survey Asks Fans What Pokémon Games & Spin-Offs They Want

Nf157

A new game in the Colloseum and XD gale of darkness saga.
Pokken 2 on the switch successor.
Conquest as I've never played it.
A game focused on creating and running your own Pokémon gym where you can have other people online play and rate it!
The main one however would be for them to build on top of legends acreus. That game was very cool but clearly there was also room for improvement.

Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? (September 24th)

Nf157

The Splatfest will be my main focus this weekend (Team Gear!). Already 20 hours into the game (and an additional 10 for the pre launch fest!).
Other than that my usual ring fit adventure. Weathers cooling down a lot recently so I have more energy which is nice.
Xeno 3 and Neon White are also coming along nicely, I think Neon especially is coming to an end (most under appreciated game of the year, more people need to talk about it!)

Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? (September 17th)

Nf157

I've fallen for the trap of having too many games on the go at once!
Neon White, chapter four I think. I've been platinum running each mission (+gifts) so that's probably taking me longer than it should.
Xeno 3 playthrough continues. Nowhere near the end but I don't mind. Might even pick up the pass and get those extra characters as I'm playing it.
Splatoon 3. Salmon run for the win! Looking forward to the Splatfest! I missed those!
Ringfit. Finally re-found my momentum.
God of war (2018). I wanted to see if I'd still like it in 2022 and also to re prep me for Ragnarok. But why did I start this? I've got enough to play!

Re: Talking Point: What Did You Think Of The September 2022 Nintendo Direct?

Nf157

Thought it was great! Whilst brief, Tears of the Kingdom looked absolutely amazing! (Nice to finally have a name and date too, even if the date doesn’t stick).
Pikmin 4 was an awesome surprise! I was worried they where just reminding us bloom existed.
Not sure how I feel about fire emblem. Big fan of awakening and three houses but I haven’t played the rest of them so the whole nostalgia grab is lost on me, same with the first Fire emblem warriors.
Raincore looks really cool. A new Splatfest is of course welcome. Mario strikers and Xeno got ok updates. Haven’t played Kirby but they look interesting.
So overall I thought it was good. (Maybe one or two too many farming games for my tastes 😅)

Re: Talking Point: What Do You Want To See At Tomorrow's Nintendo Direct Showcase?

Nf157

I've learned to treat directs more open minded and less going in wanting a specific thing.... But that's boring so here's what I want!
Breath of the Wild 2 of course.
A teaser for a new mainline Fire Emblem game!
Silksong! Shadow Drop! Now!!!
Shredders Revenge DLC (more of an indie direct thing though?)
A new Scarlet and Violet Mon! One that I actually like preferably....
Wind Waker and Twilight Princess! A combo pack or separate whatever!
Metroid.... Just more metroid!
Skyrim anniversary but only if it's available via a cheap upgrade path (cheap like £5 cheap, of course free would be great but why would I expect that in this world?)
And of course a new Nintendo IP that nobody sees coming.
So ye none of this is happening!

Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? (September 10th)

Nf157

My four games on the go now are the newly released Splatoon 3 (It doesn't reinvent the wheel but it's more Splatoon which after 5 years is more than welcome), and my continued playthroughs of Xenoblade 3 (45 hours in and by the looks of it nowhere near the end) and Neon White (under-talked about)
And of course my usual Ringfit Adventure. Finally got past one of those annoying 'complete this mission in x amount of steps' that was really killing my motivation with it.

Re: Poll: Do You Actually Want Switch Ports Of Wind Waker And Twilight Princess?

Nf157

Sure I’d play them. Wind waker is one of those games from my childhood I loved but didn’t finish so If a port became available I’d write that wrong.
But if they didn’t happen I won’t be losing sleep over it. I’d rather brand new games anyways like BOTW 2 (and they can take their time with that…. Not that they haven’t been 😅)

Re: Feature: Which Region Has The Best Pokédex? Every Pokédex, Ranked From Best To Worst

Nf157

Gen 5 - Zoroark (Followed by Volcarona and Hydreigon)
Gen 6 - Goodra (Followed by Greninja and Braixen)
Gen 2 - Ampharos (Followed by Espeon, Aipom and Crobat)
Gen 1 - Eevee (Followed by Blastoise, Nidoqueen/King and Alakazam)

Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? (August 27th)

Nf157

Played and finished Shredders Revenge on Thursday/Friday and now it's Splatfest all day! Team Rock for the win!
Tried some Ringfit but I'm on one of those levels you have to finish in a certain amount of steps and I'm stuck on it, really ruined the momentum I've built with it....
Then Sunday I'll likely be back to Xenoblade 3 and maybe play some online with Pokémon Sheild, considering the next mainline game is only a few months away I feel like getting the most out of this one before then.

Re: Talking Point: What Was Your First Legend Of Zelda Game?

Nf157

The Wind Waker back on GameCube, I never finished it but I really enjoyed what I played. Would like to try it again some day.
I started to get properly into Zelda on the 3ds however with Majora’s Mask and a link between worlds (which I also didn’t finish) and then the switch is where it became a series I truly loved thanks to BOTW, Links Awakening, Age of Calamity and Skyward Sword HD (all of which I’ve finished!)

Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? (August 20th)

Nf157

Continuing my adventure in Xenoblade Chronicles 3. Just shy of 30 hours so far and I’m in no rush to finish it, might even go for 100% but we’ll see.
Back at ringfit adventure, the heat has stopped me exercising more or less completely (even walks) but it’s cooled down a lot now so I’m looking to get back into it. Already feel like I’ve lost a great deal of my fitness in such a short time….
Not sure what else. Would love to finally give shredders revenge, Neon white or Cult of the lamb a shot but I don’t think I’ll get around to any of them anytime soon.
