Re: Random: Honda's Pokémon Koraidon Motorbike Looks Laughable In Practice

@martynstuff Yeah, well... Even though I don't care what influencers think, they were 100% correct in this case. GameFreak deserved all the criticism they got for rushing the game out before it was ready. Yes, the Switch 2 version "fixed" it, but it was long time coming, and the fact that it still doesn't run well at all on Switch 1 is kind of embarrassing.

"Built to break" is just about as clickbaity title as possible, I expected better from Ifixit. The build quality itself is great, it's just the repairability aspect that could use some work. In general, I think Pro Controller 2 is excellent. Haven't had any issues with the sticks either, so I don't see any reason to panic about them possibly starting to drift in the future.

@Johnny44 It does seem remarkably smooth. Not sure if it'll hold the framerate in the more intense combat sequences, but I'm glad to see that they've decided to focus on smooth gameplay instead of pushing graphical boundaries with this one (as the original had quite rough framerate).

@Orwellian87 Have you actually played GT? The moment you start one of the games you get an intro movie that have been without exception quite beautiful (and not just in the technical sense). In general, the series is a love letter and celebration to everything related to cars, and not just super fast race cars but also the most mundane everyday cars. This is apparent not only from the gameplay and car selection, but also things like history lessons about various subjects related to cars and motorsports. And that's before talking about graphics and audio which are also quite stunning.

If you can't see anything artistic about GT, then I'm not sure if you've looked hard enough.

Re: Romero Games Hit With Layoffs Following Microsoft Xbox Cuts

A bummer, it's always sad to see people lose their jobs. That said, without having ever seen the game, I do have to wonder if it's right to jump to the obvious conclusion that Microsoft is to be blamed here. For all we know, the game was not shaping up well. Just some food for thought, world is never black and white.
