Re: Cyberpunk 2077 Confirmed As The First Switch 2 Title To Use Nvidia's DLSS Upscaling

KoopaTheGamer

@Andy_Witmyer People (including Digital Foundry) expect certain quality from DLSS that the Cyberpunk on Switch 2 doesn't quite reach. The fact that Cyberpunk is using it is not really a good sign, since the image quality seems pretty soft and the performance is not particularly stable. But I'm hopeful that they'll get it in a decent shape for release. That said, it's pretty impressive that a game of this calibre is running on a handheld at all.

@croz It provides a lot of value for those who did not own GameCube (or other systems) and do not have an existing library of games for it.

I would prefer the option to buy the games similar to Virtual Console, but it's silly to claim that NSO offers no value. There are over 300 games there if you have the Expansion pack (some of which through the Japanese app, though). Even the standard subscription has over 200 games these days. To me, online play is the main reason to subscribe, but the retro games are a pretty darn great bonus.

Re: Uh Oh, It Looks Like Select Switch 2 Games Won't Support Cloud Saves

@Anti-Matter Nah, it's going to be fine. Look, I get it, people are not satisfied with the pricing. It seems to me like people are trying to find something to complain about only to justify their own anger.

However, as we've already seen multiple times (with stuff like Game Key Cards etc), there's been a lot of misinformation about it. Yes, Nintendo has messed up with some of their communication. But people really need to learn some patience and wait a bit before storming the internet with their "Nintendo is doomed" and "this is Wii U again" rants.

Re: Uh Oh, It Looks Like Select Switch 2 Games Won't Support Cloud Saves

It's already been confirmed that you can move save data from original Breath of the Wild/Tears of the Kingdom to the Switch 2 Edition, so this may just mean that you can't use the same save data directly but instead need to import it through game or something. Same note on DK Bananza's page seems like a mistake, though.

Anyway, people should calm down and wait until we have confirmation about it. This wouldn't be the first time people have jumped the gun about something Switch 2 related, only for it to turn out to be false information.

Re: Mario Kart World Brings Back Another Fan-Favourite Mode

@TerribleTerabytes I suggest you take a look at the images on this article. There clearly are contained arenas, not just race tracks like in Mario Kart 8 (non-Deluxe). Far as I know, they didn't state anything about the available options for the two confirmed modes. They didn't even explicitly state that there are only two modes (and of course, more could be added as DLC).

Re: Zelda: BOTW Switch 2 Edition Won't Include The DLC, Nintendo Confirms

@Stwert You're right that there are 120GB games on PS5, Xbox Series X and PC, but that's kind of irrelevant in my opinion. Instead you should look at PS4 or Xbox One games since those are pretty close comparison to Switch 2. Most of the PS4 games fitted into the 50GB Blu-Ray, so I don't think 64GB cards are going to be a huge concern on Switch 2 (especially with that hardware compression).

It's easy to forget that Spider-Man on PS4 was 45GB. Ghost of Tsushima was 50GB before updates/DLC. Kingdom Hearts III was 40GB. Sure, there were also plenty of games that were more than 64GB, but 64GB is still plenty for a lot of games.

Re: Scandinavian Nintendo Fans Are Considering Flying Abroad For Cheaper Switch 2s

@Toastmaster "They won't, because Bergsala is the reason why NES were sold outside Japan in 1985."

I don't think that's entirely true. Far as I know, Nintendo already had plans to release Famicom outside of Japan when Bergsten talked to Nintendo about bringing a version of Famicom to their market. Yes, I'm sure they helped Nintendo see that there is interest in Nintendo products in the west, but I don't think Nintendo owes them anything.
