Re: Of Course Mario Kart World Is Being Review Bombed

@DreemWeever Well, that's how probabilities work. I played 12 random races one day and got 6 three lap races. But they weren't evenly spread out. It was 4 three lap races in a row, then 4 intermissions, and the rest were a bit more evenly spread out.

Anyway, on average it doesn't seem like a massive change from the past.

@RupeeClock To be fair, there is a lot of misinformation about the latest update. Some people claim that random only gives intermissions now (it does not) or that it only gives the same three tracks that are votable (it does not). In my experience the latest update didn't fundamentally change much. It may have changed the probabilities a bit. Random gives three lap races around half of the time now but I didn't really pay attention how much it gave before the patch. I do know that it gave intermission races before the patch too, however.

@Athropos Pixel response time means that it takes 17ms to completely change a color of a pixel from one to the another. But you can ask the screen to change them in much more rapid frequency. Basically, it won't be 100% done when it needs to change the color again, but it'll be "close enough". It will have ghosting/blurring, but the motion will appear smooth.

@Exerion76 ROG Ally screen and Switch 2 screens are different sizes and in general have different specifications. I didn't mean "is the technology there", I meant, "is that particular component available". Which it may be, but I think it's important to consider things from manufacturing perspective. A screen used on Switch 2 needs to be widely available and the manufacturer needs to be able to deliver millions and millions of them.

@carlos82 In most Mario Kart games Spiny Shell travels near the road and can hit other players while going after the first player. The path it takes often lines up pretty well with the path that people take as well, so it will hit a lot people.
