Re: Switch 2 Game Cart Max Capacity Is 64GB, Says CD Projekt Red

KoopaTheGamer

@mlt Elden Ring is 45GB on PS4 (probably without DLC), so 64GB card would be enough for it. They chose not to use it and went with Game Key card, but it would've fitted just fine.

I think people are used to PS5 games and their gigantic filesizes and have forgotten that PS4 games (which would be the closest comparison point to Switch 2 games) were much smaller, often fitting into the 50GB Blu-Ray.

@Oracles_fanboi You really need to fact check some of your points.

  • Nintendo has most cash holdings, but in terms of company value, they are far, far behind companies like Toyota and Sony.
  • Breath of the Wild and Tears of the Kingdom do have new content, as demonstrated on the Direct. Besides, the upgrade is only 10€ (far as I know) for those who already own them.
  • I really need a source on your point that NSO is their main source of income. Sure, they have over 34 million subscribers, but most of those only pay 20€/year. Mario Kart 8 Deluxe has sold over 67 million copies, Animal Crossing has sold over 47 million and Smash Bros. has sold over 35 million copies as well. All of those are 60€ games, and those are just the best selling ones.

Re: Hands On: I Didn't Think I Could Love BOTW Or TOTK More, Then I Played Them On Switch 2

KoopaTheGamer

@digitalspade To be fair, there are also free upgrades. If Nintendo (or some other developer) spends time developing new content and upgrading the game (not just increasing the resolution), then I think it's fair for the upgrade to cost some money.

That said, the new features in BotW and TotK aren't really something that I care about. The visual upgrade is massive, though, so I'll likely upgrade anyway.

Re: Nintendo's Switch 2 'Game-Key Cards' Somehow Manage To Make Codes-In-A-Box Worse

KoopaTheGamer

It does have the benefit that you can resell the game or lend it to your friends. Besides, if you have to install Switch 2 games anyway, then it won't make a huge difference whether you install it from cart or through internet (as long as you have decent internet, and as long as Nintendo's servers are up and running).

So no, it's not perfect, but I think it's an improvement over codes in box.

Re: Game Informer Revived By Blockchain Firm Gunzilla Games

KoopaTheGamer

I think they lost a big chunk of their journalistic integrity with this. Being owned by a game studio, they can't possibly be completely impartial. They may say that they aren't influenced by Gunzilla at all, but do you think they can openly critizice Gunzilla's games or be super harsh about NFT/blockchain technology? I kind of doubt it.
