They certainly struck fear in the very depths of soul when I was a kid. I was genuinely scared when encountering them while trying to get one of the songs in Ocarina of Time. (The one that turns the world from day to night). After getting that ability, I was much less afraid of them. I will always remember that fear, and that memory was brought back to the surface thanks to this article. Thank you for unlocking another buried memory.

I would say that I both loved and hated the water temple in Ocarina of Time. I think that it had some amazing, morable elements plus a few confusing elements that as a kid, I struggled with at times. I still love the temple though. And it stands as one of the best water temples I have played.

This is pretty darn awesome. One of my favorite videos games of all time. The soundtrack is practically unbeatable and the game as a whole was way ahead of its time. I can't find too many faults with this game. Especially loved playing co-op with my brother when we were kids. Great memories.

Honestly, I would take either a new Yooka Laylee game (because I enjoyed both entries) or a new IP. I am interested in what they cook up next.

I don't believe it does, though it sure would be nice. The game is timeless either way and as far as I am concerned, the 3DS remake was more than enough.

I mean, Animal Crossing is always a good source of inspiration. Even Animal Crossing could learn a thing or two from The Sims gameplay.

@JohnnyMind Exactly. Previous Mario Kart games had more staying power in terms of single player, though to be fair Mario Kart as a whole has gotten stale over the years for me. It would take a quite a bit of innovation to get me excited for another entry.

I mean, the game had a heck of a run, it was bound to fall off eventually. I personally have been patiently waiting for the next entry in the Mario Kart franchise ever since about 2 years after Mario Kart 8 originally released on the Wii U. I only play Mario Kart 8 Deluxe on Nintendo Switch with my family. I can't stand to play it anymore by myself.

The clear winner is easily the North American variant for me this time. For me, the European variant is barely a box art.

I am probably just be playing Fortnite on PlayStation 5 today. I have been having a great time in Creative mode, (Murder Mystery FTW). I have also been enjoying the Save The World game mode. Good times for sure!

That high bar is part of what makes Nintendo games as good as they are.

I still do enjoy some Fortnite, especially this new Fortnite OG season. The game was getting too far out in left field for me to enjoy what it was offering. I am having a much better time with it now, and I have been enjoying playing it both solo and with my brother in duos. I personally feel it is the most well rounded Battle Royale shooter out there, and I haven't had a similar experience with any of the others I have played. I just like that it is easier to get into, and doesn't turn into a sweat lobby type of game.

I actually prefer the European variant by a wide margine this time. There is quite a bit more interesting detail going on in that one than in the North American variant. And it just seems more colorful.

This is not something that my kids would really be interested in since they don't currently enjoy Zelda games currently, though I am pretty stoked to see the movie myself!

I expected nothing less. Regardless of this particular entry's placement on the all time greatest Super Mario games, the franchise has only gotten more popular. This statistic doesn't surprise me in the least.

I still need to pick this one up! I have played all the other entries (except for the Nintendo 3DS entry, which doesn't count imo), and I have been itching for some RTS style gameplay. No game does it in a cuter fashion than Pikmin!

I don't think it will ever catch up to BOTW until it is inevitably re-released on the next Nintendo console. I personally still haven't completed the main story in the game, even after putting 150 hours into it.

@Phon I haven't tried it though I have heard of it! I am not sure if that particular game interests me though!

Sheesh. I remember playing the first one on Newgrounds back when I was a kid. Definitely makes me feel a little older.

The graphical aesthetics do interest me, but the core gameplay loop doesn't. This one will be a pass for me. I am still looking for the next great roguelike to play. The last one I truly enjoyed was Hades.

North America all the way on this one. Not having a single Kirby centered up on the box art for the European variant easily persuades me in that direction. No brainer for me on this one!

I didn't do so great. 17 out of 25. I haven't put much time into SSBU though!

I have getting back into The Legend of Zelda: Tears Of The Kingdom recently since I never finished the game when it first released even though I had put close to 120 hours into it. It has been reinvigorating playing it again and learning more about the lore, and grasping a deeper understanding of the game's mechanics. There is always something new to figure out in this game, regardless of how long you play it. That is probably one of the best things about this entry.

I'd say he is probably correct, though I have only played Super Mario Wonder so far. I tried playing Spider Man Miles Morales and was pretty bored early in so I didn't go back to it. I can't see myself doing that with Super Mario Wonder.

So far, mine is definitely the Nintendo Switch pro controller. That controller simply fits the best of my hand. I could see myself using the Joy cons though, especially in multiplayer.

I definitely like them. I don't mind the voice acting currently, and they help breathe life (and sometimes provide hints) in the game. I couldn't see myself playing the game without them, at least the first couple playthroughs. They are a part of the core experience for me.

The Game Boy Advance version is definitely my favorite as a whole, though I play the Super Mario All-Stars version the most.

Currently, I would probably give the game close to a 9 since I haven't made it far enough to experience the whole game yet. That may change once the credits roll!

The best siblings in gaming will always be Mario and Luigi for me. There have been a few other stand out siblings in my time gaming, but none were more, and still are more impactful.

In response to the first letter that is reviewed, I would absolutely prefer a Super Mario Odyssey sequel. I did enjoy Bowser's Fury, but I felt like creativity was stifled because the limitations of the gameplay. And Super Mario Odyssey, you can play as many different times in as many as different ways as you can think of. A very adaptable game.

Honestly, this one was kind of tough to choose. I did end up voting for the North American variant, but the European name was more interesting to me. This one was kind of a toss-up for me.

I think so far they've done a pretty fantastic job. I'm pretty happy with the voice work overall.

Coincidentally, my girlfriend has been watching this show again after many years of not being able to watch it. For me myself, it has been a fun trip down memory lane. I will say though, I never did play the Gargoyles game. Honestly hadn't even heard of it until it was brought up. I still don't think I really want to play it.

I had a Game Boy Color when I was a kid, I believe it was a turquoise colored one. I didn't have it very long though, because I recieved it as a gift around the time that the Game Boy Advance came out, so I was very quickly upgraded to the Game Boy Advance. I still have fun memories of the short time that I had one though.

I will more than likely be playing MLB The Show 23, and plenty of Super Mario Wonder this weekend. Two quality titles that will easily divide my attention, and provide enjoyful, meaningful experiences.

I am playing it as of this moment and it is a joy to play. Nintendo really outdid themselves with this one.

I will absolutely be grabbing every single one of these.

That is a pretty awesome little fact with an animation to back it up! Little details like those are why I enjoy Nintendo games so much. I am sure we will be learning new little things about this game years after its release. I am very much looking forward to Friday.

I honestly didn't think this port was ever going to come out. I really enjoyed this game on PS5, and I curious to see how this port holds up. Definitely looking forward to the review.

I am incredibly hyped for this game, and my whole family feels the same way. I will definitely be playing this one day one, and this week is a paycheck week so all good on that front!

Awesome! The differences in the video ease my concerns of a far superior port of the PlayStation 5 version. I am typically.one to want the games I purchase to have the best visual fidelity, but in this case, I will be picking this up on Nintendo Switch. Not just because of the visuals, but also because of everyone in my family being able to play it. Great stuff when the ports run similarly.

It is an awesome sight seeing the Sonic franchise getting it's time in the limelight again in terms of review scores. I have always like Sonic games regardless, but the fact that Sega is figuring out (again) what makes a Sonic game great is music to my ears. I will definitely be picking this one up for my family.

More than anything, I will be playing this game with my kids if I buy it. Even with the chaotic nature of a 4 person Sonic game, it would be a fresh, and interesting experience for my family. For that reason alone, it will most likely secure a purchase.

And I will be avoiding those spoilers with the entirety of my soul. I want this game to be completely new to me, besides the bits and pieces I have already seen. Super Mario games don't come out very often, so spoilers sting a little bit harder for me with this series.

North American all the way in this one. I love the color palette and the word design. Clearly my opinion is an unpopular one on this poll.
