Re: Poll: Will There Be A June 2023 Nintendo Direct?

Dpullam

I am secretly hoping for one but I have no expectations for one. I honestly don't know what surprised they could have up their sleeve besides smaller titles from this point on. I would love to be proven wrong but I am personally in the mindset that TOTK was our last big hurrah for the Nintendo Switch.

Re: Super Mario Bros. Movie Steelbook Already Being Shipped Out (US)

Very cool. Personally, I purchased the digital version of the movie on VUDU because I wanted easier accessibility. And because I am kind of done with physical movies. Video games, not so much. But I am definitely done with physical movies. And at this point, every major company involved with the Super Mario Bros movie is rolling in dough.

It has already grabbed the second place spot on top grossing animated film of all time, only beaten by Frozen 2. Wonder if it can eclipse that one as well.

Re: Talking Point: Is Tears Of The Kingdom The Scariest Zelda Game Ever?

This game delivers on exactly what I wanted from the sequel. A darker tone for the world building while still having brighter highlights. The gloom hands and The Depths do genuinely make me a little on edge because I am still relatively early on in the game. It brings me a sigh of relief and joy when I get past the gloom hands though.

The image below though represents my disappointment when I run into another wall going in the ceiling while in The Depths and trying to get to a hidden objective.

Re: Xenoblade Developer Monolith Soft Raises Staff Salaries Across The Company

It is always nice to see game developers a raise, especially in today's current gaming climate. And they have made some high quality titles over the years that fans adore. I think this raise is well earned considering the gradual popularity and reverence they have gained over their time in business. I remember that there was a point in time that I didn't think there would be another game in the series beyond Xenoblade Chronicles considering the low purchase rate of the Wii version. Things have clearly changed since then.

Re: Mario Movie Crosses $1 Billion Mark At The Global Box Office This Weekend

I expected nothing less. I had predicted this would be the outcome from the very start, and a well deserved output. This sets the foundation for more potential Nintendo titles coming to the silver screen, though I personally don't expect anything near this level of success for anything else other than a Super Mario movie sequel.
