Character creation modes are always a plus. I honestly didn't expect one in Pikmin though! I personally didn't mind using the default appearances of the main characters in previous entries.
I can't even vote. I am one of those people that hasn't played any version of Link's Awakening. I think the version that I would play if any though, is the modern remake for Nintendo Switch. I kind of like the Chibi-style art direction.
I am secretly hoping for one but I have no expectations for one. I honestly don't know what surprised they could have up their sleeve besides smaller titles from this point on. I would love to be proven wrong but I am personally in the mindset that TOTK was our last big hurrah for the Nintendo Switch.
Very cool. Personally, I purchased the digital version of the movie on VUDU because I wanted easier accessibility. And because I am kind of done with physical movies. Video games, not so much. But I am definitely done with physical movies. And at this point, every major company involved with the Super Mario Bros movie is rolling in dough.
It has already grabbed the second place spot on top grossing animated film of all time, only beaten by Frozen 2. Wonder if it can eclipse that one as well.
I can't wait to see the next duplication glitch that is discovered next week! There is no doubt that more exploits will be found regardless of Nintendo's continuous updates.
As expected The Legend of Zelda: Tears Of The Kingdom has the overwhelming majority of votes. I haven't had this much fun in a game in a long time. Well done Nintendo!
It was a tough choice between the North American and Japanese variant but I ended up choosing the North American one. I think it sums up the drama that the series is known for quite well.
This game delivers on exactly what I wanted from the sequel. A darker tone for the world building while still having brighter highlights. The gloom hands and The Depths do genuinely make me a little on edge because I am still relatively early on in the game. It brings me a sigh of relief and joy when I get past the gloom hands though.
The image below though represents my disappointment when I run into another wall going in the ceiling while in The Depths and trying to get to a hidden objective.
I don't know if I consider The Legend of Zelda: Tears Of The Kingdom better necessarily, but it is certainly more refined and allows for more detailed gameplay mechanics not possible in the first game. And for that, I applaud it.
Awesome colors though I don't need any more sets of Joy-Cons in my household at the moment. My kids primarily play on their own handhelds, and I already have 3 sets of Joy-Cons.
I don't really like utilizing digital wallpapers on my devices beyond things with sentimental value so I won't be getting this. I did drop some points on the new The Legend of Zelda: Tears Of The Kingdom glow in the dark keychain though.
I actually used to hate the weapon degradation when it was first introduced in BOTW, but now I have come to appreciate the strategizing it presents when dealing with a difficult mob encounter.
I am definitely going to be playing The Legend of Zelda: Tears Of The Kingdom this weekend. I am just now delving deep into the game and learning all the systems, and enjoying every minute of it.
I definitely figured the scores mentioned above would come to fruition. I want to pay the game myself, but I think I would only play it if it came to PlayStation Plus.
I only prefer the North American variant because the background color on the box is reminiscent of other Zelda titles. The European variant is more eye catching though.
Ouch. The game developer landscape can be a challenging road to take, regardless of how talented you are in your field. I feel sadness for all those impacted. Hopefully they have built enough credit to get a position at another company close by without having to relocate.
I am actually not playing Zelda this weekend. I am playing only on PS5 and the games I am playing are Humanity and Ratchet and Clank: Rift Apart. They are both fantastic titles in their own right, and are great companions when played in conjunction.
If you add it, they will come. As will I! My kids and I are going to enjoying this movie again on our home TV. I will be buying it so we can watch it anytime on VUDU.
I have known about this game for quite a while. Something about it just doesn't interest me, and I don't have particularly high hopes for the Nintendo Switch port.
It is always nice to see game developers a raise, especially in today's current gaming climate. And they have made some high quality titles over the years that fans adore. I think this raise is well earned considering the gradual popularity and reverence they have gained over their time in business. I remember that there was a point in time that I didn't think there would be another game in the series beyond Xenoblade Chronicles considering the low purchase rate of the Wii version. Things have clearly changed since then.
I certainly remember challenging his ghost trial in Mario Kart Wii. That was a fun ghost trial back in the day. I haven't even attempted any of the ghost trials in Mario Kart 8 Deluxe yet. I probably should get right on that...
I am glad that she has made a comeback, though I expected nothing less. Tears of The Kingdom is a direct sequel after all, though that doesn't mean much these days.
I expected nothing less. I had predicted this would be the outcome from the very start, and a well deserved output. This sets the foundation for more potential Nintendo titles coming to the silver screen, though I personally don't expect anything near this level of success for anything else other than a Super Mario movie sequel.
I very much prefer the the North American variant. Something about the Japanese one doesn't sit well with me, though I do enjoy the art style chosen for Batman in that graphic. Even so, the North American wins out for me.
I am playing the fantastic Kena: Bridge of Spirits on PlayStation 5 and I am having a heck of a time. Such a joy visually, and the gameplay is on par as well. And I also adore the soundtrack on this one.
To be quite honest, all of the games listed as a choice in this poll would be great additions to the game. At this point though, I think I would rather take a remastered version of Wii Sports Resort. It has been a hot minute since I have played that title.
I definitely feel like it did, but Mario in general has become a staple in many households, so I think it would have done well regardless. It is just icing on the cake that the movie is considered to be a genuinely good movie.
