In some cases hacking is completely welcome, such as a dead console. For instance Luma3DS and Pretendo has breathed new life into my 3DS. Being able to play my 3DS games online again has been quite awesome.

@Eririichi literally it’s one of their most expensive games ever so their return on investment for the roughly 2.5 million copies sold at $70 each and then when you figure in marketing, which some reports are estimating around $350 million for dev and marketing costs, it probably didn’t even break even. So yes, it’s considered a flop. These are just facts you can look yourself. Fast-selling doesn’t necessarily equate to success.

Their embarrassment didn’t do the numbers they wanted on other platforms so just like Star Wars Outlaws they are gonna try shoveling it down Nintendo fanboys’ throats. Makes sense.

@KevinP exactly! Today’s Nintendo is hardly any different than EA although EA is almost certainly changing now with the acquisition and all.

I’ll be shocked if “Nintendo Pictures” actually produces anything of substance. Nintendo are dabblers. They don’t commit to anything other than producing games and consoles.

And its probably the most boring console I think I’ve ever owned. I WANT to love my Switch 2, I really do but the thing literally has a layer of dust on it from being untouched. I’ve preferred playing games on my Steam Deck and PC which crazy because I typically prefer my Nintendo consoles over anything else.

A lot less now due to keycards. I used to buy everything that interested me so like 2 a month if not more. Now it’s like 1 every 3 or 4 months.

As a fan that owns the entire Poirot collection and read them thoroughly cover to cover many times I have to say this is a hard pass for me. I absolutely despised how they butchered Murder on the Orient Express and this doesn’t appear to be an improvement.

The demo left me feeling like this is more of the same from a Sonic racing game. I don’t know….perhaps I’m just finding the kart racing genre not as appealing anymore. MKW I tired of after the first week yet for some reason I still love and play MK8 Deluxe.

I can’t get hyped for Pokemon anymore. The whole issue with paid DAY ONE dlc for Z-A has frankly disgusted me.

Nintendo really needs to get off this open world kick they've been on. Open world doesn't work for every game and I really feel like they are doing it because it makes the game feel big when in reality we are getting the least amount of effort from them. Big and empty is still big and empty.

The only ones I care to own are the Zelda ones and I have them all so far. Not sure why though. All they do is sit on a shelf and collect dust.

I’m finding it hard to get hyped for this. The others ran like garbage. I don’t doubt the Switch 2 will run smoother but the experience from the first two just kinda killed it for me.

That’s hilarious. My Atari 2600, 5200, Magnavox Odyssey, ColecoVision games all work fine and not really showing signs of aging…not to mention my NES, SNES, Genesis, etc…. Take care of it and it will last forever. I don’t give a d@&n what some digital game evangelist says.

As a lifelong Star Wars fanboy in my mid 40's, was even named after Star Wars and has a massive Star Wars collection and having tried this game on PC and not enjoying it one little bit I can say for certain I'll be skipping it here as well. There are those out there that will shill because its either Star Wars or its on their beloved Nintendo console but I stopped shilling when I became wise enough to realize there's no point in it...which was like a couple months ago... There's literally no benefit in it.

I wouldn’t say they are gunning for the Switch 2. It’s just that portable/dockable handhelds are what the gaming industry is gravitating towards. It’s a business decision really. Just like it was when Nintendo released their NES/Famicom back in the day after other companies had already released their consoles like Magnavox, Coleco, Atari, Mattel (Intellivision)…. I think even more so now in today’s economy it’s a business decision made with survival in mind rather than competition.
