Willing to bet the special announcement is a playable demo on all the platforms it’s releasing on. I doubt seriously they will shadow drop this but you know, we live in crazy times so who knows.

It’s so busy trying to compete with Fortnite and have all these crossovers with characters that don’t belong like Beavis and Butthead and Nicki Minaj that it’s completely lost sight of the actual wars the games were based on, the soldiers who fought in those wars, the sacrifices they made, the honor and valor and the history that made the earlier games great.

I literally don’t even care anymore. Just wanted to come here and say that. Waited so long for this and was so excited just to be let down time and again that I’m just sick of it at this point. I waited THIS long so if I decide to ever get it I suppose I can wait just a little bit longer to get it on sale.

Lego Batman is about the only thing I’m excited for. Of the games that are already in the wild for other platforms, I’ve played all the ones I care about on either PC or Steam Deck (like Indiana Jones). I’ve been screaming for Silksong for so long that the name just leaves a bad taste in my mouth at this point. Oh and He-Man looks phenomenal.

This is off topic but can I just say I find the ads on this site very intrusive and it makes reading the articles feel like a chore. They are constantly shifting the page or overlaying the page completely when viewing on an iOS device. I find myself less inclined to read any articles lately for this very reason.

Been playing this on PC and my Steam Deck for quite awhile now so I doubt seriously I'll be picking this up on Switch 2.

@FredBiletnikoff my comment was just to say my very old tech is still working. I don’t agree with neither comment from you or the other person. 🤪. My Commodore 64, my various forms of Atari consoles, ColecoVision still works perfectly too. Tech will last as long as you take care of it. Further, if it ever stops working it can be fixed.

@Dman10 Steam Deck is pretty “console-ish” if you ask me but my comment wasn’t to say “we don’t need it on Switch 2”. I was simply correcting the statement in the article giving the impression that PS4 and Xbox was the only place to play it currently. I was just pointing out that Steam Deck is a great current option to play it on the go.

Honestly I was going to purchase this already because I was a professional competitor back in the day in the arcade tournaments but man, even if I wasn't a fan I would still buy this because they have the professional courtesy and consumer respect of putting the whole thing on the ******* cart. This console gen for Nintendo hasn't been very exciting strictly because of the keycard BS. They won't be getting my money. I have been very selective about the games I'm getting thus far and I don't see that changing. Before this I would buy up anything I was remotely interested in. They are shooting themselves in the foot and honestly, I couldn't care less because its more than obvious they don't care about the consumer.

Patiently waiting....but patience is not one of my virtues...

Unlike many Nintendo fanboys I will not buy everything that has Nintendo’s name slapped on it.

It wasn't without regret....there were cheaper options with the same functionality and better features overall but it was the "wake" function that got me. It will probably be the one and only I buy. The other controllers like 8BitDo will surely get an update to wake the Switch 2.

Personally I would never spend that amount on a case with minimum protection. Alternatively there’s a soft case by Onn for like $12 or so (obviously at Walmart since Onn is only sold there…it’s their brand actually) that is pretty good if all you’re looking to do is to protect it from scratches or dings inside your backpack.

Not a fan of The Boys but I do like Karl Urban. I thought he was great in Lord of the Rings and Star Trek.

I just hope the movie isn’t cheesy. What works in a game doesn’t necessarily always translate well to a live action movie. Seems to be good casting choices though as far as appearance goes. I’m gonna have to pull up some of their stuff and see though before I can make any definitive opinions.

I'm sure Tony Hawk will will keep your attention longer have more replayability in the long run though. MKW gets super tired and bland after just a short while each play session.

I’m still neck deep in No Man’s Sky. I have been playing on Steam/PC but decided to start a new save on Switch 2. I’ve completed the Atlas Path, I have two settlements almost completely improved, a number of bases, 2 other exotic starships, and a class A freighter. This game is so different from the one that originally released in 2016. I might pick up DK eventually. Might.

@Ultimapunch actually a quick Google search and the plethora of results stating otherwise will show you’re a little misguided on Mario being more well known than Mickey Mouse. Perhaps more recognizable to children but that’s about it (and that poll was conducted in 1990 so it’s probably not relevant any longer especially with the many Disney Jr shows in the past 15 - 20 years like Mickey Mouse Clubhouse). I don’t like it either but facts are facts.

No excuses. This is a first party game on a brand new system. It’s suppose to be a showcase title especially being it only the second “real” first party title released. I say “real” because I discount the other first party games with “upgrades”. We shouldn’t be talking about perforce drops to prioritize “fun”. It just straight up laziness no matter which way you slice it. I haven’t been impressed with Nintendo’s offerings on Switch 2 just yet. I’m sure Prime 4 will break that chain though given Retro is developing it. Nintendo has been getting lazy lately. I’m absolutely done shilling for them.

I’ve used my Switch 2 pro controller probably for about 20 hours so I don’t think I’ve play tested it enough to have a formulated opinion about its long term durability. However I’m not about to sit here and sing its praises just because it “feels nice”. I do think it’s pretty crappy though that Nintendo made it so hard to get into the controller. They obviously did it because they would just rather you throw down another almost $100 for a new controller because that is how Nintendo is now….they aren’t for the consumer any longer they are now for themselves and how much money they can make off of you. This is what happens when you put a businessman in charge rather than someone that actually relates to their customers like Iwata did.

Iwata was the best leader Nintendo will ever have. Add Reggie into the mix and you have the best team in corporate history. They were fun, energetic, and gamers at heart. Iwata is sorely missed.

@thedicemaster Steam OS is spectacular. You can actually install it on many (not all) PC handhelds now. I think other companies with consoles need to take a good look at Steam OS and try to do something like it. It really does make a difference!

@RupeeClock as someone who has worked in the corporate field for over a decade I can say that’s the mentality of every corporation and they don’t care how many lives they have to ruin to do it.

Knockout Tour is the only thing keeping me interested. Mario Kart 8 Deluxe has way more value. Doug Bowser's dynamic pricing explanation for MKW doesn’t hold water.

@nhSnork actually, playing it on my Deck is quite friendly. Only difference I would imagine between it and Switch 2 would be the Deck has more of a grip for better comfort. Still, I prefer it on my PC for the best experience but would I double dip to have it on Switch 2? Yes, yes I would and I have absolutely no valid reason why.

I’d be all over it if this actually happened only if I could bring my save data over. I play this on PC with my son.

@SuperRetroArt They can very well do something about this in this case.. that isn't a very good argument. The secondhand video game market has been around since video games have. Its not like its a new concept and as a software engineer, I can tell you there are ways to correct this.

I don't agree with them completely bricking the console. You should be able to buy a used console and expect it to work like it should. But no...humans are going to human and always do the wrong thing and take advantage of people.

Honestly though I've never gotten anything actually "worth it" from My Nintendo points other than some Mario themed hanafuda cards. That was back when shipping was free too. These days they charge you for shipping and the products are so cheaply made its almost like you're still paying for the actual product due to shipping being so high.

I agree with @bluemujika. We absolutely MUST have Skies of Arcadia either a sequel or a remake at this point would be fantastic. Otherwise I’m very excited for Crazy Taxi and Jet Set Radio.

I'll just stick to my Airpod Pros....
