This game was only “barely” Metroid. It doesn’t “feel” like the other Prime games. Sadly I like MP3 better than this “effort” and that is really saying something.

I’ve decided to go back to Civ 7 after almost a year having played it. I was disgusted by it when it first released having bought it Day 1 on Steam (haven’t touched it since my first game on it) and after the many updates they’ve provided since, I can say it’s on track to be a decent game. Civ 6 is still lightyears better though.

I have the game on Steam. It’s okay-ish but Rise is better but unless they seriously gimp the S2 edition of Wilds it’s going to run like garbage.

Does anyone actually ever win these things? I’ve entered so many over the years.

You can’t really properly play a fighting game without traditional D-pad. Sure you can use the stick but it’s annoying putting in combos and not it’s usually as fast. For anything else I’m fine with how the joycon are now but yeah I agree, we need a real D-pad.

Yeah I'm bothered by it. Games shouldn't lose their human element. AI is lazy and looks worse than if an actual person did it themselves. If large corporations are going to insist on using this garbage then they need to get used to not getting my money....that or decrease the price of games greatly since they aren't having to pay a human to do the job for them and even then I probably still won't buy it. AI as a tool for asking questions, cleaning up an email, etc....sure..that's fine. Using as a creative source to sell to others..absolutely not and this is coming from a guy that works in tech.

Even though I have multiple physical copies of these games I took advantage of the recent Steam sales and got the original Resident Evil trilogy for dirt cheap. I’ll be playing those this weekend. Old school RE is lightyears better than any of the more recent offerings.

But is it really an expansion or just a catalyst for another game?

Just go buy the entire trilogy currently on sale in a bundle on Steam for $7.19.

I think this was the biggest reveal for me last night. Will it come to Switch 2? Probably not if I had to guess but my PC is ready for it. I doubt my Steam Deck could run it but I'm also possibly thinking about grabbing the Steam Machine when it releases as long as its reasonably priced. Either way, this game will be played, so now the only question is when... Star Wars Eclipse was announced in 2021 and since then not a peep. Same for the KOTOR remake. So many games gets announced and spends so much time in development...even games like KOTOR that really only needs a new coat of paint and perhaps new audio. So really I just take these announcements with a grain of salt and instead I just take the "well that's a pretty trailer" approach. I'm ranting.....rant over.

This game is the physical manifestation representation of the state of the video game industry at the moment.

My real one is sitting in the attic. I may pull it out of these days….may.

They just need to go back to their roots and stop trying to be like Fortnite featuring various characters no one cares about.

Hot take: Nintendo locking background music while riding Vi-O-La behind an amiibo is sheer greed. Literally no other company would get away with this so why does Nintendo get a free pass? This question wasn't meant to be answered. It's rhetorical.

Honestly this doesn't sound great. What is it with games these days holding your hand through it? Do devs think gamers aren't smart enough to figure things out on our own? Its become way too common in our games these days and it really just needs to go away.

@Oldstalk while traditionally I would take your stance, with the rising cost of gaming these days one can’t simply “wait to play this game before having any judgment on it...”. If you end up not liking it then the money is already spent and that’s quite an investment for something you ended up not liking. It’s not like Steam where you can decide to return it within two hours of gameplay.

Been a fan since the 80’s. I was looking forward to this yet now all of a sudden I’m not.

I’ll stick to my Turtle Beach Stealth Ultra for my Steam gaming…

They could very well put this on the eShop but I suppose their loyalty to their customer base hasn’t been great lately…

Looks more like a Xbox to me honestly. If this thing is priced right I’ll be all over it. Oh but wait this thing is so niche and we Nintendo fanboys only define success by millions and millions of units sold even though most Steam players are on PCs so something like a Steam Deck isn’t successful in the slightest….(yes this is tongue in cheek after reading certain comments) but anyway…. 6 times more powerful than a Steam Deck. I have a high end gaming PC and a Steam Deck but I would still bite if the price is right. However I DID just buy a new $4k trumpet so I might have to wait a bit. Music > gaming in my priority hierarchy.

The only right answer is Ocarina of Time. No other game has ever felt so magical when playing it for the first time when it released.not to mention that it and Mario 64 opened the doors to a whole new world of gaming.

I’ve been loving it on Steam. Sure the online is junk at the moment but it sounds like they are working to fix it but otherwise local multi and single player have been great. The difficulty thing…that’s hilarious. These newbies just aren’t used to old school games 😉. I jest but anyway looking forward to an online fix/enhancement.

I just wish I had something new to play. Most everything has been either ports of things I’ve already played on Steam or enhancements to games that’s already been out for awhile on Switch 1. MKW was fun for a week. I didn’t pick up DK Bonanza. I wasn’t impressed by it. I don’t know. I just wish we could focus more on the future rather than the past but Nintendo loves finding new ways to sell us the same crap we already have with all these upgraded Switch 1 games. I’ll go back to my orchestra practice now…. Glad it’s selling well though. It just hasn’t impressed me yet.

The price gouging is getting disgusting at this point. This will be the death of modern gaming.

I’ll be helping the band/my son at the state marching championships they got invited to for getting all superior at the previous competition (proud dad moment as well as a full circle moment since I was with the same band at the same championships when I was his age). When I can find time though I’ll be playing MK Legacy Kollection on PC and my Steam Deck when traveling.

As an ex “champion” (at least regionally) from the 90’s (sorry I had to toot my horn 😅) I definitely picked this up yesterday despite having the original arcade cabinets. I really wish the online component functioned better and you were actually able to challenge friends rather than it be completely random otherwise it’s a great collection. I got it on Steam with the intentions of getting it physically for Switch 2 when it releases in December. I LOVE old school MK. I’d certainly like to see more people online as well. This collection is a treasure.

Sarah Bond…given recent decisions made for Xbox and the future sounds like she’s not suited for the job. It’s almost like she’s purposely trying to steer the ship into the ground. I have no attachments to Xbox so she can do with it what she likes. One less competitor in the market mucking it up. I’m just sitting here eating my popcorn but if every game is on every platform then it really destroys any validity in multiple platforms existing.

I’m just waiting for Thursday when MK Legacy releases . Getting it on Steam. Then I’m going to buy it again in December when it releases physically for Switch 2. I love MK….

Day 1 updates are becoming all too common unfortunately. Oh how I miss the days when the full game was on the cart or disc. They were actually thoroughly tested then to ensure most bugs were eliminated. DLC was simply saved for the next game. These days they are just rushed out the door knowing they can just patch them out later and dlc…don’t even get me started.

Someone please tell this Switch 2 owner the benefits of owning a Switch 2 again? At least in its current state I think I probably could have held off my purchase for about another year…

Just wait a few months after release and Amazon will have it on sale just like any other Piggyback release…that is until it goes out of print then it rises back up in price. I’ve never paid full price for a Piggyback publication.

That may be true but unfortunately there isn’t $&!? to play on it that is Switch 2 specific. What you spend on a handheld PC you make up for in cheaper games so really when comparing prices against a Switch 2 honestly they kinda level out…

In some cases hacking is completely welcome, such as a dead console. For instance Luma3DS and Pretendo has breathed new life into my 3DS. Being able to play my 3DS games online again has been quite awesome.
