His tactics and attitude are why i will never use Epics Store. Just disgusting and you can see that the tactic is not going well.
He gives away games to bind people on the Store and pays Devs/Publishers for exclusive releases, but those are mostly games that have some potential to fail.
And i wish they would change the way their engine is compiling shaders (on the fly), as it just leads to stuttering games.
@Ironcore Twin Snakes was a Remake running on the Engine of the second Game. I guess the FPS in the first one are baked in, so you can't just make it run faster with more Horse Power. The other two are possibly just not optimized for the Hardware... But hell, constant 30 fps are fine. Only if it drops it is a Problem.
I have them all on PC and PSX/2 original and from Gog and the Collection for the PS3... I think i'll skip it
But hopefully they release the fourth one to other Systems.
The best Step would be DRM free like on Gog. Music did it and they did not wen't down Hill.
Physical Copies are nowadays often worthless, as Day One Updates are often deeply necessary and also often there is not even the whole Game included on the Medium.
And i often see me to want physical Copies also for the Art on it. So maybe a digital Picture Frame to change out what you like at the Moment would be a great Idea.
To the Topic:
The Soundtrack, the new Soundtrack makes the most Worth in a Purchase of the Games. I passed the Rest of the Games until now, but Final Fantasy VI was a Blast and i was not disappointed with what they did in the Opera.
Just pick one of the origin Characters and learn with them, than you'll not run into a bad skilled Character. Also play on easy, nothing bad about it, i do it myself.
It is just an classical RPG with Stati that decide how good you are in certain Things and it shows it more than modern Counterparts.
This Game is so a great Addition to the Gameboy Games, but without it is very lackluster.
I don't bother because they reused the first 151 Pokemon. It is a Game on the same Console Generation, would be a bit of Crazy to redo perfectly fine Models for a Game that came out only one Year after the first one. That they reused some of the Models on the Wii Game, was a more doubtful Decision.
Play Doom, it introduces you well to the Mechanics and Features. The Level Design itself talks to you. Door Colors tell you that you need to search a certain Key Color. Items and Monsters lead you through the Level, saying "go here". Stuff you can see or hear, but not reach, spoil you saying "there is somewhere a hidden Door and Way to get here". And use the Map
Doom is actually very comparable to Super Mario World in what it makes it great.
Duke Nukem and other have more Gimmiks, as an Inventory, Jet Pack and the Level Design is often to complex for the Engine (looking up and down is bad for those early Games).
Doom is still beloved and called one of the greatest Games for a Reason, the others not so.
In the last Game there is Time jumping in, so storywise they went back in Time to the Period of the first Game and changed Time Line to make everything undone what happened, to have a peaceful Time, but seemingly something doesn't want them to have Peace
@nkarafo
As it follows the Story of the previous Games, it is not exactly a Reboot.
Thats one of the Things such Games with insane Stories can profit from, you can Change nearly everything because there are Gods etc. that can change Time and Space.
A beloved Charakter is dead? No Problem, let him come back as a Undead and put it in the Story
Both Versions are nice and fun, so i would choose that. Overall i really like to play the Super Nintendo Version, because it can save and you can hop in and out easily from Game to Game.
Nothing to add, NFT and Blockchain is a wasteful unneeded Technology, everything People search to solve with it, can be done with sompler Technique and is still done. People sold Items in Diablo 2 twenty Years ago! And NFT/Blockchains still need a classical Database and Server to display what they show you posses. So when these Servers are gone, you have a fancy Receipt and nothing behind.
Hmm you are right, i mostly did it with Gameboy Hames, seldom with Snes and as you say, nearly never with the N64 and never with the GBA/NDS. Than i've learned that it is a nogo and never again did it.
I suggest guetting the PC Version, they play great and have no music removed. They will run on every Machine nowadays, as they are more than 20 Years old.
Maybe you have to do some little trickery to make them run. For Example, i have to minimize gta3 once to see the Menue and put gta vice city on one core via the task manager. There are possible patches out there, but its so minor for me to do it that i didn't care.
@Zuljaras I have to admid, i've spend more Time in the Editor in Starcraft than in the actual Game haha But both will count into the houndreds or above, even if never will be really competitive in it^^ Still have to try out WC2 on the Playstation, when seing them back then i was astounished to see that and Comand and Conquer for it. A possible Mouse Support could make it easier. Speaking of that, the C&C1 Remake on the N64 is also a crazy Idea haha Quake 2 on the n64 is a really great Game and the Graphics are actually pretty good.
Thank you, imo it is easier to understand than other Version that adopted it.
@calbeau Mine Valeriano :> I wanted the O to have the spanish/romance Version :>
Bought Starcraft 64 out of curiosity about 2001/2 for 50€ on Ebay, had it for years on pc, so there was no real need.
It was the NTCS Version and i had one of those Adaptors, but the Game never worked, wasn't sure if i got screwed by the seller or not.
Hadn't the Money for a NTCS N64 and it wasn't as common to buy Stuff over seas
About 2018 i bought a Retrode2 and i was able to read out the Rom.
I than used a Everdrive to play it
Overall, it is important to hail insane and strange Ports, so, well done with your very nice homage!
Edit: oh you are from Bulgaria, my Wife also.
Have learned to read kyrillik because we wen't a couple of times around there ^_^
They should make some Files optional on other Games. For Example, it was possible to delete Audio Files on Doom 2016 and Eternal and save up tp 10 GB. I mean, i don't need russian, japanese and others when i'll never use them. Also they could make you choose Texture Sizes on the Beginning, don't have a 4K TV? Why waste so much Space for the Textures...
I really like the Style of the FF3 and 4 Remake. They have also some PSX vibe to them on the 3DS. But i think that Train is out and away, i think we'll see a Remake in the Style of Final Fantasy VII after that is done. So far far away..

I really don't understand the Hype for this Collection, i was there back then and most of those Games are bad and not really worth the Money.
