This is great news! I was already going to get this because I spent a lot of time with the SNES version, but this makes it even more irresistible!

It jsut need the amiga one ot reach perfection now.

The SNES game is pretty cool but there was a huge amount of confusion / incredulity as to how this could even be anounced without the MD titles. I saw so many people in the comments and on YouTube videos etc just default assuming they'd be there - people saying "day one, can't wait to play the Genesis game again!!!" on stream and then having to be corrected by the viewers and feeling gyped. Could have avoided some bad press by waiting just a little longer while they did the deal - surely they must have been aware that people would want them too...

Though I'd still love the Master System title added too - arguably my favourite of all the original JP games.

@CosmosJ Ever since seeing it in magazines in the 90s I always though the Amiga and DOS game was just a port of the SNES game - what with it being over head and having first person sections.

@MattmanForever if it means anything, they email you before it ships to see if you need to change the address, but yeah, you have to wait....a bit usually.

Very excited for this. I am also in the camp of people who weren't sold on the collection without the Genesis games, so I am very happy to see this news.

@Blast16 yeah, another movie may well mean another heap of licensing headache. But hope springs eternal. The Lost World is easily among the best SMD/Genesis games, period.

As soon as I saw the article's image of the T-Rex on the home page, I knew exactly what game was being showcased. And to find out its part of the collection is icing on the cake.

I grew up with the Ocean game on NES, but my friend's had the Sega version which I was always jealous of. The bass-heavy ambient music really gave it a memorable atmosphere.
This collection is the best of both worlds, and I'm 100% buying this now.

Maybe someday they’ll release a second collection? Either way, I got what I wanted out of this first one now that Genesis JP and JP: Rampage Edition are included.

This whole thing seems kind of weird. When it was revealed, everyone clamored for the Genesis games, and they delivered seemingly overnight… maybe it was held back as part of the reveal to hype the game? But the pre-order has been live for weeks…and is only available until October 15.

I can’t wait until I get to play the raft level!!

I already pre-ordered the Prehistoric Edition, but now this news make me even more excited to receive it! Amazing news as I loved not only the SNES game but also the Genesis games and still own a near mint Jurassic Park 1 on the Genesis. This will be great to have playable on my Switch complete!

@CosmosJ Amiga music can be amazing, for sure! I'm genuinely looking forward to checking it out when I have time, and am annoyed at myself for not looking into it sooner. I thought I'd played every JP game, and I love old "big box" DOS and Amiga titles of that era.

Well, I'm certainly glad for a more complete collection here! I remember playing the first Genesis game and... um, not being great at it. I could do the first two levels as Grant and the first as the velociraptor, but that was it.

It'd still be fun to play through that one again! And after watching a guide, I'd like to give the SNES one a shot too.

I have but one question for this collection in regard to the new games.

Did they keep in the dinosaur saying "Sega!" at the beginning?

@NightBeast The Lost World is quite good! I have all three of these on Genesis and the two on SNES but still have not beaten all of them. Very fun games indeed. The Lost World has some very impressive graphics design during some “encounters” 😱 if my memory serves. They all offer something unique. Kind of makes me long for that in games these days. That always excited me as a kid to see how the Nintendo version vs Sega versions differed.

Pretty insane that out of the six games in the collection they are all different. I say awesome!!!

Funny how Genesis ports of games are being ported to Switch, but not SNES games. Genesis FTW.

The additional games are also included in the physical game, no need to download.

I'm so hyped for this. I already preordered the physical edition because it's JP, but I was disappointed the two sega (JP) games were not included. So it was more than a pleasant surprise to see this announcement. Thanks to the folks at LRG!

Oh, so they do acknowledge the genesis version of Jurassic park the lost world? One game that I grew up with? I'm still not interest in this collection but the in game map seems useful for Jurassic park the lost world especially even though I know all the levels by heart anyways

The SNES game is highly underrated. Looking forward to playing with the ability to save. Especially when the game frequently crashes when you access the last terminal on the boat at the very end of the game!

I remember skipping school in elementary to play jurassic park with a friend on SNES back in the day...that alone will justify the purchase to me

What licenses are they talking about these are just repro collections.

Your ears will thank you that they didn't include Lost World!

Man I'm so glad they were able to get the rights to those games. Especially Rampage edition, where Dr Grant jumps on a Gallimimus, shouts "Yee haw!" and fires a rocket launcher at a helicopter.

@wizzgamer to legally sell these, LRG must obtain permission from companies that own these games, and along with that, pay the appropriate licensing fees. This is different from say, an Etsy seller making just a couple repro carts and selling them for profit (which is illegal since they don’t own it to sell in the first place). Not saying I don’t have a few 😅

I went ahead and preordered as well. The save states and map will be great to have. I’m surprised there’s no rewind tho.

I really don't understand the Hype for this Collection, i was there back then and most of those Games are bad and not really worth the Money.

The gameboy/NES Jurassic Park game has the absolute best song I've ever heard in a video game. I used to play jurassic park on the gameboy and just leave it and not touch it just to listen to the music. It absolutely slaps. I've always planned to turn it into a full blown song by using it as the background music and singing over it or something. It's a bloody brilliant song. Good for those that wanted the MD titles. Personally, I really only enjoyed and beat the SNES title as a kid, and found the MD version janky to control, and atrocious in art & sound design. But to each their own.
