Re: Upgrade Your GameCube Controller With This New Wireless And Driftless Kit From 8BitDo

@DanijoEX-the-Pierrot

Or those from Retro Fighters.

https://dragonbox.de/de/funk-controller/duelist-nintendo-switch.html

Would think those Mod Kits are best for low Quality original ones, that need a Facelift.

Also, 8Bitdo has this Bluetooth Adapter for original Gamecube Controllers

https://dragonbox.de/de/produkte-fur-nintendo-switch/8bitdo-gbros-adapter.html

With a Dongle you can use the original one everywhere.

@N00BiSH
It is ok, the lack of one of the shoulder Buttons, the way too small D-Pad and small C Stick are the biggest Issues.

But the Controller is also nice for N64 Games, as they use the C Buttons to Walk.
I will always prefer the PS2 Controller, being an Evolution from the Super Nintendo.

For me also Europe, it shows the Protagonist and the Region, so it has something to do with the Game itself.

They really should have named it differently, to make clear that it is a RPG.
Some of the Cities had some Final Fantasy Feeling, as they were in the desert and kinda junky.

Re: Random: Minecraft Fans Apologise To 'Story Mode' In Response To Live-Action Movie Reveal

@Coalescence

Would say it is a very creative and humorous way to show a dislike, by praising another title.

And it is totally normal to show if you like or dislike a product.
Yes there are people that are crossing lines they should not, but it has become the norm to ignore every legitimate criticism on a product because of that.
In this case here, they dislike the style they did choose for the movie.

Well, that how it ever was, Mills took the Work from People, Machines and Chain Manufacturing tool the Work from People, Computer did take the Work from People.

Get creative, you can find a Nieche to make your Money, hand made Stuff sells good, why should mouth spoken Titles not sell good

I see a Benefit for smaller Studios and People, they can so Stuff that wasn't in their Budget before.

Re: Zelda Timeline Featuring Breath Of The Wild And Tears Of The Kingdom Spotted

Azuris

I don't see a big problem with the timelime, it is so lose with its arms and time between some titles, that it doesn't hinder them to come up with a story.

I like the small Parts of older Games they put in the newer ones.

Edit: Btw. a full fleshed out Universe you can read up on a Wiki is boring.
Stuff must stay in the unknown to keep it interesting.

Take Doom, simple Story.
Hell breaks out.
Hell, incomprehensible for mortal beings, Horrors we can't imagine with Stuff and Logic beyond everything we know about Physics and the Universe.
Than Doom Eternal made Hell to Aliens, grounding it and making it boring.

Re: DOOM Is Getting A New And Improved Definitive Release On Super Nintendo

@PessitheMystic

Retrobit and others also do both

@Apogee90
More FPS, as the Chip has more Power.
Some did overclock the FX Chip and also did get more Performance.
Will be interesting too see how much they can get out of it.

I guess they didn't change the Resolution, but it isn't as small, there are worse Ports out there.

Re: WayForward's 'Clock Tower' Switch Port Receives Stunning Physical Editions

Azuris

@Wexter

Don't they also announce the Time Period when it is able to take the Order?
The other Article here is from July 2023, announcing that it will be somewhere early 2024 on LRG.
So nearly a Year to overthink a Purchase is really not FOMO.

30-40 Moneys are ok for a physical Rerelease of a Game, if you really like it.
Thats more or less the Price Poont many of those kind of Games have settled.

I mean, i bought the Rerelease of Wild Guns for 50 on the SNES and Cotton 100% for 30.

Re: Talking Point: 'Remake' Vs. 'Remaster' - What's Your Definition?

Azuris

@Hwatt

Rebooting means to start new, it is seperate from the Work itself.

As said, if you build the Ground Structure from Scratch, you are remaking it, even of you take old Assets with you.

In China they made a Copy of the Eiffel Tower, you wouldn't name that a Remaster, even if they used the same Plans and Paint.

You can make it out by just asking if the Engine has changed, if it has, they literally have to write new Code.
It is a new Chassis, Skeleton, Body

What you are refrain to is the Ship of Theseus.
But there they only change out Parts until everything is new, askening if it is a new Ship or still the same.

To stay with that, in a Remake they would take the original Sail and Rudder to a new Ship made equaly.

A Remaster is changing out Parts of the existing Ship.

Re: Talking Point: 'Remake' Vs. 'Remaster' - What's Your Definition?

Azuris

@FishyS

It is in the Term they are remaking the product, not releasing the same again.

Remastering is overhauling, you have the Source and you do a new Master of it.
It is also in the Term.

If you remake your House, it means you are building it again from the Ground with the same plans.
If you are "remastering" it, you get it new Paint, repairing Stuff etc.

Doom for the Switch for Example is also a Remake, it works on a whole new Engine (Unity), even if it works mostly the same and they reuse Assets.
Its not a DOS Game.

Re: Tomb Raider I-III Remastered And Lara Croft Collection Getting Physical Releases

Azuris

@FrillsAran

I have no clue, i bought the Doom Releases and Shantae Games from them on Switch and also the GB Rerelase of Shantae, all was fine.

Yes, you are waiting nearly a Year until you get some of the Stuff, but i have the same waiting Time with other Niche Products from other Shops.

Be it Wild Guns for the Super Nintendo or the Memcard Pro 2 for the PSX/PS2 now.

And i reather have a preorder were i have to wait, than preproduced Products i have to be lucky to get some of the Stock, but it gets shipped faster.

Also, some said the build Quality of the GB Games are bad, but i can't see a bad Product with my Shantae Module, compared to the Wild Guns i have, the later one does feel too off.
