Well with confirmed showcases for Xbox, Playstation and Keighley we have much greater odds than normal of a release date announcement this week.
Besides, the fact the game will be playable in a museum in a few months really suggests we are weeks away at this point.

While I think the Xenoblade soundtracks are mostly god tier, your argument with X falls apart because those new LA themes and some of the battle themes became incredibly irritating (at least for me).
Besides I suspect when converted into a playlist, only about an hour will be ambient and the other 10 will be traditional pieces.
Go listen to the Colgera fight songs and tell me that doesn't scratch a primal Zelda loving itch!

This game seems like such a hoot
The runtime seems meaty for its genre but it is clear from this interview there is a wealth of content here!

We have no 1st party dates beyond DK, so I hope this is the case. There are 5 months of the year with no 1st party release dates so we at least need to know when Metroid, KirbyAR and Pokémon fit in that. Presumably Age of Imprisonment is December?
I'm hoping Drag X Drive is not going to be the only 1st party game in whatever month that launches and that leaves us space for one more meatier unannounced game.

There are also release dates for Silksong and Hades 2 that I'm particularly hyped for.

Maybe it's an indicator that the movie is going to use the character designs of Twilight Princess as the basis for the costumes?

Or it could just be that they thought those costumes would be the most practical ones to have as meet and greet characters in the park?

This seems like the next logical expansion and all the groundwork in the central areas certainly implies intent!
Hopefully we get this in the UK as well, although that's going to be excruciatingly far into the future.

I have been feasting on Hundred Line.
If anything my playtime in all other games and platforms has gone down.
If it wasn't for that I'd be putting the finishing touches to my Switch 1 (purchased) backlog.

I think for the generation who grew up during the Pandemic, this probably will have a lot of appeal.

I would definitely have used this myself if it had been there on the Switch. But that ship might have sailed now.

Hopefully Hundred Line has been doing well on the digital store front and overseas. It's obviously a fairly niche game so I don't really know what kind of numbers it would need to hit to be a success.

Hopefully it will grow in reputation as more and more people pick it up.

I think I'm slightly obsessed with the game right now. I'm seeing the attack radius shapes when I close my eyes XD

Just passed the 'half way point' in Hundred Line, that's the main focus.
Also doing a bunch of the Emblem Paralogues in Engage before entering the final stretch of the campaign.

See where you are coming from about the characters. A lot of them feel like very irritating people. I nly really liked a couple of them off the bat. I do think the game does a good job of making you feel some agency over their growth though. I don't know if you will have reached any Persuasion missions yet?

Yeah pretty sure that is what the virtual game cards are for. Just don't use the system transfer as that basically wipes your current switch (it's basically designed for trade ins).

I suspect he is just a perennial narcissist and social climber. He will say he is friends with them if it gets him clout, access to fancy parties and sports tournaments. Some of those people see through his bs though.

Big Uchikoshi fan, might need to wait a bit for reviews given his reduced involvement though. Let's see how long 100 line defense academy lasts me!

Waiting on IO to open pre orders so I can judge whether the physical version is reasonable.

I put so many hours into the multiplayer in Nightfire. The remote controlled Sentinel rockets were so much fun. Don't understand why more people don't celebrate it the way they do Goldeneye.

Yeah, we've come a long way with this service. Its been great having a library of multiplayer N64 games to crack out and it's nice finally being able to play games from the GBA which I missed completely growing up.
Can't wait to play GameCube games on NS2!

@Smithicus Largely agree. I do think Dk94 is still worth a go (push through the super early stages) and puzzle games seem to hold up fine for me.

To any Fire Emblem fans who aren't into Engage. I do want to point out that there are great remixed battle themes of every other game in the series (except maybe Heroes?).

Still working through this game myself and the music is not one of areas the game stumbles on. This is probably the best addition for me since Skyward Sword!

Can't see myself ever going back to this game, but I do get a lot of laughs out of videos of the janky AI.

A great addition! Doesn't hurt that it has good remixes of tracks from every other Fire Emblem game.

If this was in a sports compilation package it would look neat. Otherwise it just gives Project Giant Robot vibes. A novel play style with no deeper thoughts into building out a game.

If this is the Odyssey team, (which it sure looks like it) then I imagine they will be constantly introducing and dropping new mechanics so things don't get stale.
I'm hoping and expecting there is a lot of scope we haven't seen yet because yes the smash up a floating island doesn't look like it will be fun for long. The Treehouse Stream briefly showed some challenge areas (which did have platforming to be fair), and we know there are some 2d segments in there somewhere.
I'd assume we have basically just seen content from when the training wheels are still on.

I feel like the Iwata / Reggie leadership would not have charged for this.

My immediate takeaway (along with everyone I watched the direct with ) was lukewarm to Welcome Tour and then baffled by it not being a pack in. Not a great PR move but I'm far from annoyed about it as right now I don't feel I'm loosing out on anything.

I have no intention currently of getting it but I will at least read NLs review for it to set the record straight on its value.

Additionally, I feel like the inclusion of the Zelda upgrade packs and GameCube games as part of theexisting NSO subscription are a way bigger win than the loss we get from this decision.

Yeah, I think that would be a pretty interesting choice. I don't mind if they bring characters back for post game content but it would be nice to have the main story fit into the framework told in TotK

Hoping there is a fun campaign complete with unique challenges and gameplay and sure bosses too.
Suspect we will hear about a rolling content plan for the first year.

I guess my main questions are about controllers. Whether my 3rd party pro controllers will be compatible with the Switch 2.
Also if you can find out what the deal with file sizes and the physical release of the Hitman World of Assassination games that would be super.

Very reassuring! Puts Mario Kart in a similar size to Tears of the Kingdom.
What I want to know is
1) Whether physical editions are going to require massive downloads to work.
2) How big World of Assassination is going to be as that is a trilogy of modern games...

There are screenshots of a lot of wild things in the karts. Additionally, in the free roam part of the Treehouse Stream, when they showed fast travel the map showed how many outfits(?) were still hidden in an area so I suspect the build had loads of stuff not unlocked.

So excited it played well in the short time you had with it, not that I expected any different.
Really hoping we get some meatier coverage and a release date in the treehouse streams this week!

They are great games and in most cases I'd be doing what you said. I really don't think you have anything to worry about though.
The connective tissue between the Prime games is slim and I seriously doubt this will carry anything narrative over.

This double whammy was a highlight for me, even if they showed literally nothing of the Bond game.

Yes! Good to know there will be meaty hands on time in addition to the direct extravaganza!

Perfect for maxing out those battle passes!
I hope it's smart enough to buy up all those micro transactions so you can truly complete games with live service components.

(In all seriousness, the repeating home screen presses were a great touch)

Nintendo is really waking up now after their months long news hiatus.
Very ambivalent about this until it becomes more tangible. Wes seems sincere and passionate but I feel Miyamoto himself is likely the driving creative force here.

New AI :Somnium files game was the biggest win for me! Metroid Prime 4 sure looks like Metroid Prime. Looks good but hoping they are still holding a lot back

No you are not the only one.
They have sort of moved from 'unpredictable' and 'secretive' to 'baffling' and 'obtuse'.

Uchikoshi is likely my favourite gaming auteurs but I'm less hot on Kodaka.
I also love tactical games so this will probably sit well with me but overall I kind of just feel dread for how tied up Uchikoshi's career seems to be in the success of this niche game.
I actually went on the eshop yesterday to look for this game but it doesn't seem to have a listing yet. Fingers crossed the demo comes to Switch as well to build a buzz.
