What do I make of this? Well, this has to be the most expensive Nintendo game ever right? There's no way it isn't. Think about the length of development, and then contracting and employing so many people in North America where gamedev wages are relatively high. I think Prime 4 is one of those games where they know they won't make a profit but release it anyway because it still matters.

At the very least I was hoping for an inclusion of the old Gamecube City Trial map as some kind of hidden unlockable. Not sure how well that one would work considering the physics and speed differences between the first and current Kirby Air Riding games, but it could be something they can use as a base to maybe break that promise by Sakurai and just give us a little bit of extra content. I definitely do agree that I wish there was more than just the one map, as big as it may be.

Looks to be low effort for the Switch 2 version unfortunately. A 'nice to have' I guess, at least it's priced cheap.

Wish they'd use them even more, they've done great work so far.

Link should wear the hat at some point in the movie. I think they can make it work.

Now I wish I had bought it for cheap when I had the chance. I'll admit I really didn't expect them to do this.

What a shame, honestly this is far worse to me than any supposed "anti-consumer" things people freaked out about Nintendo doing in recent times. This is not only actually anti consumer, it's also anti developer and arguably anti Japanese. Ironic as that may be from the western side of a Japanese company.

Rest in Peace Itagaki-san, an absolute legend who's contributions will forever be remembered. Main man behind two franchises that are GOATs of their genres and with Ninja Gaiden one of the greatest games of all time even, no argument.
That message from Harada hit especially hard, he will be missed...

In Germany there's also been some discounts. I wanted to wait for reviews before pulling the trigger but Pokémon ZA for example is already available for 55€. Honestly usually Pokémon games don't end up going THAT much lower in price after release so might as well right? This is also why I think the outrage over pricing is extremely overblown and dumb as crap. Mario Galaxy 1+2 is already available for less than 60€ new.

Oh hell yeah! I really enjoyed this game and I'll gladly put off Hot Shots for a bit while I revisit this on Switch 2. Hope to see more patches like these for other games

This is a full on remake of that PSP game yes exactly. And yeah this is gonna cover the whole game (and expand it even). Splitting it up like FF7R would make no sense anyway because this game already has direct sequels.

Almost none of the 3rd party games are full price.

I was already gonna get the game regardless. But now I'm really hyped. This looks like it could potentially even surpass Mario Odyssey!

I'm sorry but nah, smaller and cheaper cartridges would absolutely solve 90% of the problem. This very article proves that.

Am I being pessimistic or doesn't this not bode well? Wouldn't a Switch game ideally not have to be modified by the dev to properly run on the Switch 2? This would mean that many games with issues will never be fixed, whether it's because the devs who originally worked on the game aren't there anymore, or because the company feels that the game does not properly represent them anymore like with Senran Kagura and Marvelous. Hopefully it's just my pessimism...

I'm gonna be honest I think this game did not look good even on a conceptual stage, the idea itself sounds a bit... lame? I can understand why Nintendo would have scrapped this and just told them to remaster the Prime games. Look at something like Splatoon or BotW in their first basic game design pitch form, most of the game is missing but one can still see the great idea and potential behind the game if it gets further development, I wouldn't say the same for this title however.

Unfortunately they couldn't find any company who was willing to publish it physically in Europe.

Not sure if I have to change my monitor settings or something, but the colour really hurts my eyes now.

Oh sorry, I misread. Yeah the issue with V seems to be that there's some kind of deal between PlayStation and Capcom to keep it away from any other consoles, though not fully exclusive. If I remember right that happened because SFV was partially funded by Sony and they also had a big marketing push to support the game.

I think they already did that? Can't check right now but I was under the impression that that is what the version of USFIV on my PS5(4) is.

I always believed in Devil's Third conceptually so I'll keep an eye on this.

I see... well then that unfortunately changes how I feel about this then. Obviously having game accessibility for more people is strictly good, but I don't want it to negatively effect my own experience, I'd just hope all the accessibility options will be optional.

Sure the forced exp share in some Pokémon games may have been a nice accessibility feature for some people, but to me it's an annoying thing I wish I could turn off.

I'm sorry but I never considered saving anywhere as part of accessibility options. How does that work? That's just a QoL feature in some games or a difficulty option.

For the love of God don't make a remake of Oblivion where you fix some issues but don't fix the level scaling...

If you ask me it gets going during episode 1, but with plenty of peaks and valleys, especially if you watch the actual TV show...
The manga is consistently good throughout, from the very beginning I'd say.

I am cautiously optimistic for now. But if it really is just a whole second set of full Sonic Generations levels then this will be a must buy.

I'm curious, does it really take that much to implement rollback netcode? Especially when it's an already familiar engine where games have gotten rollback before?

Really unfortunate that this is happening. I wonder who the hell at Squeenix is telling them this bs about them having to absolutely make these changes? And frankly it is very weird how every major JP company overnight was suddenly in lock step in regards to never mentioning sex within a character creator again.

Erm, technically Goku's tale takes place in the original Dragon Ball, whereas Z has large parts and major sections of the story where it's not about him. It's possible to even argue that it is more Gohan or Vegeta's story.

I love that they didn't go for the stupid idea of "Zelda game, but Zelda just does everything Link usually does" and instead went for something far more creative and true to Zelda's character and nature so far. Really looking forward to it and hope to see some challenging puzzles.

I'm not even from the US and have never been to Texas and somehow that was also my first thought. Don't even know why I'd be aware of Frisco as a city.

It's been 10+ years, but I recall Luigi's Mansion 2 actually being kinda subpar. Wonder if this version is improved in any way that matters besides graphics?

I mean, that's not surprising in the slightest. Having concrete numbers would be far more interesting. But we'll have to wait for the next Nintendo report to get those.

Still holding out hope that after the games get patched a ton there will be a physical release with the patches on the cart.

Really bad stock issues with Unicorn Overlord. The Switch version is literally sold out. As in, there are no more copies. But a great success regardless.

They kinda took one for the pirate community here. If this hadn't been settled out of court the outcome may have been worse for emulators that require bypassing encryption on the whole.
