Re: Sting's Wii Party RPG 'Dokapon Kingdom' Is Coming To Switch

Great news, it's not uncommon for games like these to stay Japan only. Hope the online works well enough, because if so then this is gonna be really fun.
However I am confused as to why they censored some of the outfits? It has the same age rating as the previous release, no?
@AlanaHagues it would be cool if you could maybe ask Idea Factory International why they've chosen to do this, though I'd understand if you don't wanna openly ask them that and risk business relations.

Re: Review: Fire Emblem Engage - Relationships Get Sidelined By A Thrilling Combat-First Focus

Nicely written! Seems like things are as I'd hoped and they shifted away from many things that were prevalent in Three Houses, though I did like that game still. I'm really excited for this and I hope all the newcomers to the series can appreciate the focus on gameplay.

Edit: Well I just heard that Nintendo Treehouse couldn't keep their slimy fingers from censoring the English release of this game. Hopefully the other versions aren't butchered, otherwise this would be a no go in my eyes and I'd get it from Japan.

Re: Saudi Arabia's Public Investment Fund Raises Stake In Nintendo To 6%

While the Saudi government commits violent acts against certain people groups and persecutes them unjustly. I am way less worried about them having any sort of negative effect on Nintendo than I am worried about the evils of US corporations who are involved in the stock exchange wanting to influence Nintendo negatively. The Sauds just wanna have a backup for when their oil is not that highly sought after anymore.

Amazing VN. Must have for any Type-Moon fan. If you're someone who became interested in the Nasuverse through Fate/Grand Order then you'll be blown away by the writing and atmosphere in this game. I should note that it's a kinetic visual novel, which means it's pretty much just reading and listening, no interactions.

Re: Review: Samurai Maiden - A Saucy Hack-And-Slash That Makes For An Entertaining Romp

Hey as someone who has been enjoying the game I wanna talk a bit about the censorship some were concerned about.

@Tobiaku
The panties aren't censored in gameplay, if you wanna be a filthy pervert you can look as much as your heart desires. The black void censorship you're speaking of only appears when you pause or when you enter the photo mode. Otherwise everything is visible normally. The game is also the exact same across all platforms by the way. Now was this implemented because of Playstation's policies? No clue, and we can't really know who decided that, but in the first place it's so small and doesn't actually prevent you from seeing upskirts, if that's what you desire, so not much of a problem in my eyes.

As for the translation I'd say it's mostly fine, but as you've said all mention of high school girls have been removed, however that's not really unique to this game. Senran Kagura for example was very explicit in it's translation to never really state the age of the girls and to refer to the schools as ''academies'' so yes things were altered because of the translators personal ethical standards but nothing that is new in this genre. Otherwise it's OK.

I recommend the game if you like these sorts of simple fun hack and slash games and can stomach ecchi fanservice stuff/ are a fan of it, and I DEFINITELY recommend it if you're a fan of yuri(girl on girl love).

Re: Monolith Soft Celebrates Xenoblade Chronicles 2 Fifth Anniversary With Special Artwork

The fact that some of these idiots who hate on the designs of women in this game don't even acknowledge that Rex's design is also the same kind of ''anime fanservice'' is just the cherry on top

At any rate congrats on your fifth birthday XB2! What a great game and a great journey. Xenoblade 1 on Wii was already amazing, never played X, but I feel like this game is when many players finally realized that Monolith is a top tier developer.

Re: PSA: Dragalia Lost Has Ended Its Service As Planned

@Ara
Not a lover of gacha games and I don't really play any of them nowadays, but there's plenty of mobile games that don't just disappear forever once they're past their prime. For example next year there will be a Touhou mobile game that ended it's service being converted to a Switch and Steam release. I'd blame Nintendo in this situation rather than the medium of mobile games.

Dragalia... lost
(Sorry had to make that joke)

Unfortunately I really do believe that it was Nintendo who kneecapped this game's potential, I mean as far as I know all of Cygames' other mobile efforts are doing fine so I wouldn't blame them for this. One can hope that Nintendo won't let the IP rot away and maybe try making a console release based on Dragalia Lost, but I doubt that'll ever happen.
