There's seriously no way you put touchscreen and ai in the same category, right? One is a fun gimmick that spawned a ton of fun games on the DS/3ds and the other is a soul-sucking corporate slop thievery machine. How in the world do you get the idea touchscreens are being shoved down your throat??

I have one of these games on PC from an epic store giveaway. Mouse mode might have convinced me to throw this on my wishlist but maybe I'll just revisit it on PC...

Awesome. Love the anime so much, excited to see this get a steel book edition (which better mean it's a full-fledged physical release). This may end up being the first collectors edition game I ever buy... (Unless you count the pokemon sword/shield steelbook in the same category)

I've got most of what I want from this list (most importantly the deku tree, it's pricey but it's gorgeous, have mine in the BotW configuration as a newgen Zelda fan lol)

Might miss not having a couple more of the Mario kart ones though...

@Sindayl "poorly emulated?" Unless you're trying to do some kind of ace exploits, what's the problem with the NSO emulators? I wish there was a way to disable the border, but what's up with that sentiment?

Base tier NSO for 20$ a year is a fantastic deal. The expansion is a bit too expensive for me since I don't really care too much about the retro games. I'm just glad that I have Gameboy Tetris, that's all I need lol.

If they had all the upgrade packs on the expansion, I'd probably still have it...

A lot of DS/3DS emulators handle two screens by having an option to make one screen larger and the second screen smaller in the corner. You could simulate touch with a pointer controlled by gyro or mouse mode. You don't need a second screen for emulation, so I hope Nintendo does this eventually. I'd even re-sub to NSO expansion pass if they did lol

I managed to finish the entire chapter before NL reported on its release lol.
I loved it, still need to win against the secret boss which is where the freezing issue is.

The gameplay gimmick of chapter 5 is easily Toby's best work yet.

On topic, Got in the mood for Splatoon 3 recently and been playing some multiplayer, so I'm gonna take a look at this game. But I really prefer the multiplayer so it will take some convincing

I don't want nudity in my games, but the double standard of having Cyberpunk (option to disable nudity and sex scenes) and all the ai hentai games on the eShop is astonishing. What's up with that, Nintendo?
EDIT: Since it's a regional thing and they just used their most censored build, do porn games just not release in certain regions and games like cyberpunk just have no-nudity builds for those regions?

DISCOUNTS??? Give these poor gamers the titles for free! This is ridiculous! You shouldn't pay full price for the games only to have them ripped from your hands and the exact same game sold back to you again

I never supported the cloud versions even though I was interested in playing these games so I am elated that there are proper local versions on switch 2 now.

All I ask, truly ALL I ask... is Diablo 4 for switch 2. I've been playing the hell (haha get it?) out of it on my switch OLED for a week or two and I'm ready to experience the newest installment

I think Mario kart world is a great game. I enjoy playing it, it's pretty to look at, and the soundtrack is 10/10. But after playing mk8d competitively for a couple years before mkw released, I prefer the simplicity of that game over all the wall riding and intermissions of this one.

Of course, the point of this article is not to compare them. But as someone who bought the game for a tight, competitive kart racer, there's really not another way to go about it for me.

I should really give this another go. I bought it on steam and played just too long to get a refund and really couldn't get into it. Haven't touched it since. But if I try again I'll probably play on steam again to avoid the potential performance issues in this port and save 80$. Maybe if I really like the game, I'll double dip!

My screen protector is super scratched up from the dock and I'm pretty sure mine came out of the box (or I did something early on) with a ding in the plastic on one of my trigger buttons.
It's a bummer because I'm generally super careful with my tech... But I got a Killswitch case for Christmas so I think I'm pretty good against damage for a while lol

Your loss, MK8 was more fun for me too but even I can appreciate that the MKWorld soundtrack is among the greatest ever composed...

Sure they're "expensive" compared to their digital versions but 40/45$ for these games is more than a steal.

Especially if you compare it to first party prices. 30$ less than most Nintendo releases!

@hypercoyote being late to buy it shouldn't be a problem. I'm young and have a lot of free time but even last year I found it utterly insane that I had to wait 2 hours outside of GameStop to buy an elite trainer box. I got the last one of one of the SKUs even after waiting that long. I can't begin to imagine how hard it is for someone with a full time job to get their hands on some paper cards for their hobby because of all the scalpers.

TLDR: It shouldn't be a problem that someone is "too late" because a functioning member of our society deserves cards just as much as the unemployed bum (me, last year) does.

A delayed game is eventually good... I hope. This would probably be something I pick up on switch instead of steam if I got it so I'm hoping it's a solid port like they want it to be

To be honest, I'm not sure why some expect a $450 hybrid console to run this game at native resolutions when you would need a PC worth hundreds more to get that kind of performance. It might be a bad way to think about it, sure, but I am pretty excited that DLSS is paving the way for more "miracle ports" on the switch 2. Really hoping that the Indiana Jones game makes good use of it too!

I'm glad to hear this one runs decently. I'll probably nab the physical down the line when the price drops. My mom is a huge Indy fan and hasn't gamed much since the N64 era so maybe I'll see if she wants to give this a spin too!

I'm sad I got buried all the way at the bottom of the comments but I have the Killswitch case and was a bit sad I had no way to use the extremely comfortable joycon together in docked mode. I saw a post on Reddit where someone disassembled the official joycon grip to remove the handles and keep only the magnets, so I did. And honestly dbrand is right, it's more comfortable than a pro controller!

This game looks and sounds incredible. I will be pre-ordering a physical copy. Reminds me of Cuphead, which I should finish while I wait for my copy to arrive haha

Glad to hear the combat has some movement features as well, I hope it has some good depth to it.

For a limited time??? I was a happy NSO subscriber for a while (let my sub expire recently as I only play single player on my switch 2 these days) but i want to mix nintendo music with other game soundtracks. obviously, not an option with a separate app. I wish they would suck it up and put their music on a mainstream service. I genuinely think they would make more money than paying for their own streaming service as I doubt many people are subbed to NSO specifically for this...

If whoever is reading this is on the fence about the hollow knight games or ball x pit, I can personally vouch for them as they are some of my favorite games of all time. Genuine steals, and you can buy them all together for less than the price of any first party game!

First thing I noticed when I started a battle on my CURRENT GEN Switch 2 was the awful framerate. Really? I know it's not an action game but it is very noticeable. I can understand not having all the pokemon at launch, since you're probably not using a jigglypuff in a competitive team anyway. But those bug clips are rough. I was excited to try competitive pokemon without the huge barriers to entry to a viable team in the mainline games, but it seems this needed more time in the oven.

Based on the Zelda sage amiibo and street fighter amiibo I've seen, these prices will tank in less than a year. When that happens... I will happily buy both of these because mario galaxy is 10/10 lol

Haste is a fantastic game, never played content warning but it seems like a great co-op game based on videos I've seen. I'd probably buy it on steam though.

I have the hero's edition of creating a champion and I am 100% getting the hero's edition of this one. Loved the first book and the included spirit orb model.
(I did ruin it when I tried to wipe off the fingerprints with a lysol wipe... not making that mistake with the secret stone.)

I got 11/12 in 1:33 which put me on top but it seems my name has disappeared from the leaderboard after refreshing 😭

Oh well. I've won for now in my heart
