This game looks and sounds incredible. I will be pre-ordering a physical copy. Reminds me of Cuphead, which I should finish while I wait for my copy to arrive haha

For a limited time??? I was a happy NSO subscriber for a while (let my sub expire recently as I only play single player on my switch 2 these days) but i want to mix nintendo music with other game soundtracks. obviously, not an option with a separate app. I wish they would suck it up and put their music on a mainstream service. I genuinely think they would make more money than paying for their own streaming service as I doubt many people are subbed to NSO specifically for this...

@UpsideDownRowlet it's certainly a lot more interesting than the solid black console Nintendo is selling with no special edition variants lol.

(Biased as a huge fan of transparent tech, my swoled has an after market glacier blue shell now! But this new one seems out of my budget lol)

If whoever is reading this is on the fence about the hollow knight games or ball x pit, I can personally vouch for them as they are some of my favorite games of all time. Genuine steals, and you can buy them all together for less than the price of any first party game!

First thing I noticed when I started a battle on my CURRENT GEN Switch 2 was the awful framerate. Really? I know it's not an action game but it is very noticeable. I can understand not having all the pokemon at launch, since you're probably not using a jigglypuff in a competitive team anyway. But those bug clips are rough. I was excited to try competitive pokemon without the huge barriers to entry to a viable team in the mainline games, but it seems this needed more time in the oven.

Based on the Zelda sage amiibo and street fighter amiibo I've seen, these prices will tank in less than a year. When that happens... I will happily buy both of these because mario galaxy is 10/10 lol

Haste is a fantastic game, never played content warning but it seems like a great co-op game based on videos I've seen. I'd probably buy it on steam though.

I have the hero's edition of creating a champion and I am 100% getting the hero's edition of this one. Loved the first book and the included spirit orb model.
(I did ruin it when I tried to wipe off the fingerprints with a lysol wipe... not making that mistake with the secret stone.)

I got 11/12 in 1:33 which put me on top but it seems my name has disappeared from the leaderboard after refreshing 😭

So a separate battle pass and subscription? I thought this was supposed to REDUCE the barrier of entry in competitive Pokemon...

Regardless, I am interested enough to at least try getting into competitive battling without spending any money at first.

good question that I honestly don't have a great answer to, I will definitely regret selling it when I get the desire to replay it lol. I'm usually a hoarder when it comes to keeping my physical games so I don't know what came over me...

it's amazing how much more creative people are in block-based games than I am. I can barely muster the energy to build myself a house with more than 3 block types

Sold my copy to a friend after 100%ing the game, but the single player content does not sound like it's worth buying the whole 80$ package again even as much as I loved the game...

@Serpenterror how are switch 2 games any faker or less replayable than a switch 1 game? Pretty sure you can buy DK Bananza and play it again afterwards last time I checked...

Started playing the original again after I saw the leaks for this. Have the ultimate edition on cart so I'll have to beat it before this comes out. Looking forward to the ancient city lore!

However, this new game is obviously not of the highest quality. Plenty of better monster collecting options on switch, pokemon or not

There's a lot of people I want to argue with in this thread but it's your lucky day!
I have a drive full of switch games, and every single one of those games I have bought. Most of them are ones that I even dumped myself. My emulator is primarily used to run my games with mods.
And on the topic of not being able to pirate retro games, take your head out of the sand and look up how expensive it is to get even just one game. the older pokemon games regularly cost more than the premium editions of modern AAA games. Many gamecube games cost more than a few days worth of food. Many retro games are only sold through the third-hand market and there is no way to purchase it while supporting the original developers, and it would be pretty sad if the only people who were able to experience Pokemon XD were people with the disposable income to buy a gamecube and multi-hundred dollar disk.

I would love a new Pokemon pinball but this is a bit outside my budget

Originally played through the game on switch 1 and double dipped on steam, made me realize the input delay was actually pretty bad on switch 1. Might give the switch 2 edition a go to see how much better it is, especially considering it's free to me and I won't say no to playing through this game again haha

I don't think switch supports these resolutions. These patch notes seemed to be copied from the steam page. But if i can be proven wrong, that would be very cool!

@Mjplaysgames every year edition of Just Dance is full of different new songs, the subscription allows you to play songs from previous games at an additional cost

Not gonna lie, after i bought 2020 edition i paid for the subscription for a year or two. It was great fun but then they removed the ability to pay EXTRA money on top of my premium game and locked it behind ANOTHER premium game. Maybe if it was a subscription on a free-to-play game I would still play, but the business model is just too many layers of scum deep for me to support. Especially considiering Ubisoft's recent actions...

I love this game so much, haven't beat it yet but very excited for new content regardless

I'm not really interested in warriors games outside of Hyrule Warriors (the gameplay is fun, but definitely gets repetitive), but after playing Age of Imprisonment at 60fps I don't think ill ever be able to go back to 30 in this style of game...

Which is unfortunate, as I bought the DLC to Age of Calamity and never got around to playing it...

@Shade_Koopa disagree. i use my switch for crunchyroll all the time, its just the most convenient option to get it on my tv. I use switch youtube even more. I wish i could have all my streaming apps on my switch. Maybe even 4k compatible apps on switch 2?

I got it, don't see myself using the mouse mode and playing local wireless with my sister on switch 1 was crashing for her after a bit

Once the bugs are fixed it'll be fine but honestly i would have been better off not upgrading for now considering my experience does not benefit from the upgrades
