Re: 13 Switch Emulators Hit By Latest Wave Of Nintendo Takedowns

solarwolf07

@ShadLink
There's a lot of people I want to argue with in this thread but it's your lucky day!
I have a drive full of switch games, and every single one of those games I have bought. Most of them are ones that I even dumped myself. My emulator is primarily used to run my games with mods.
And on the topic of not being able to pirate retro games, take your head out of the sand and look up how expensive it is to get even just one game. the older pokemon games regularly cost more than the premium editions of modern AAA games. Many gamecube games cost more than a few days worth of food. Many retro games are only sold through the third-hand market and there is no way to purchase it while supporting the original developers, and it would be pretty sad if the only people who were able to experience Pokemon XD were people with the disposable income to buy a gamecube and multi-hundred dollar disk.

Re: Ubisoft Increases 'Just Dance' Subscription Prices In The Wake Of Restructuring & Cuts

solarwolf07

Not gonna lie, after i bought 2020 edition i paid for the subscription for a year or two. It was great fun but then they removed the ability to pay EXTRA money on top of my premium game and locked it behind ANOTHER premium game. Maybe if it was a subscription on a free-to-play game I would still play, but the business model is just too many layers of scum deep for me to support. Especially considiering Ubisoft's recent actions...

Re: PSA: Switch 2 Launch Title Cyberpunk 2077 Gets A Big eShop Discount In New Sale (US)

solarwolf07

Just got my physical copy from ebay for $50 but this is one I plan on selling when I'm done with it anyway. It's on the back burner till I finish silksong and ZA though 😂

First impressions are that it runs decently well for a slim hybrid console but definitely a little comparatively choppy coming from gaming mostly on my PC. Looking forward to the open world part as it's mostly been on rails so far

Re: Poll: What Review Score Would You Give Pokémon Legends: Z-A?

solarwolf07

8/10 for me so far
I love the combat and the return of mega evolution, and I'm a huge fan of the Kalos region already so I might be a bit biased. But the renowned flat buildings, tiny wild zones, and only one music track for Lumiose and the wild zones respectively are getting a bit old, and I'm only 7 hours in...
not distracting enough to stop me from having a good time but i really do expect more from a game I've already spent $70 on and with a $30 DLC....

Re: Vampire Survivors To Bring More Chaos With Online Co-Op

solarwolf07

every time i hear about this game, I wonder why I haven't bought it yet. they are doing so well in supporting their game at such a low price with free updates. I don't even know if I'll like the gameplay, i just want to buy it to support awesome devs like this!

edit: looking at the steam page rn, looks like some dlc is paid. but i want to play as an among us crewmate so thats another reason to support them lol

Re: Borderlands 4 Has Been Delayed For Switch 2, Digital Pre-Orders Cancelled

solarwolf07

@iLikeUrAttitude
what do you mean? the port being delayed because it was horribly optimized is a bad thing? would you rather pay full price for a bug-riddled experience? This is honestly a great move on the developers part considering how poorly the game is running on far more powerful platforms, giving time to optimize the game elsewhere before releasing it on a less powerful platform.

Re: Review: Hollow Knight: Silksong - Nintendo Switch 2 Edition - Woven To Brutal Perfection

solarwolf07

@SpaceboyScreams
Excuse me but 3DS MOD??? Link me to some more info?

On topic, silksong so far is a masterclass of a game. Only a couple hours into act 2 and loving the game. My friend who just got the true ending says best game ever. My only complaint is the money economy being super tight so far. I've heard it gets better and I've found some enemies that drop a significant amount in the area I just found though.

So excited to see where they take it. Original hollow knight is one of if not my favorite game I've ever beaten so expectations are very high for the endings here!

Re: Pokémon Legends: Z-A Is Getting DLC Featuring Two Different Mega Raichu

solarwolf07

I skipped the S/V DLC for being way too expensive and releasing on top of an already broken game.
I have very high hopes for ZA (Kalos was my fav game!) so if the base game is good, I will definitely be buying this.

Which I hate. Announcing paid DLC before a game comes out is such a scummy move, but I know I'm going to love this game enough to buy it...

Re: Talking Point: Is Hollow Knight: Silksong Too Difficult?

solarwolf07

I am enjoying the game at the difficulty it is at so very much. The two bosses they are nerfing in the next patch were two of the most fun fights so far imo (i think im at the end of act 1?)
I may have invested a hundred hours into the first game and had a headstart, but the gameplay difficulty so far is perfect to keep me engaged without blowing through every fight

what annoys me is every bench and fast travel station costing rosaries and enemies not dropping enough to keep up. I haven't had enough money to buy anything but benches, stations, and maps and I haven't even died without my cocoon and lost my rosaries once!

Re: Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds Scores Free Single-Player Demo This Month

solarwolf07

never played a sonic racing game until this network test (I played on my pc) but wow this game is looking to be fantastic. I've said it on this website a few times, but I'm here for the Miku vs Steve racing game, but unironically I really enjoyed my time with the network test (maybe even more than I enjoyed MKW?) and I'll definitely pick this up at some point.
