Re: Talking Point: Our 2025 Nintendo Gaming Predictions

@Dev1024
To be honest, while Nintendo is known for gimmicky consoles, is there anything we actually need past an improved switch?

You're welcome to disagree, but it seems silly to have a major shakeup like that when they struck gold with the original switch. The fact that it sold 150m units probably that they aren't too interested in branching out anyway.

If they were to make a new gimmick, hypothetically, what would you like to see? Personally, I loved the 3ds/wii u dual screens and would be cool to have that back

Didn’t play my switch as much as my PC this year (‘only’ 200 hours on switch) but, while it didn’t show up on my review, Hollow Knight also clicked for me at the end of November and I have played SO MUCH of it. Just got what I think is the true ending and can’t recommend it enough.

But… my most played game is Overwatch with 49 hours. Oops!

Re: Ex-PlayStation Boss Questions Future Of Consoles, But Not Nintendo Hardware

I think (Nintendo's "private idaho" aside) that consoles will continue to exist simply because they are cheaper, more convenient, and more secure than PCs. Even though exclusives are nearly a lost art (thankfully), these factors just make a console a much more reasonable purchase in a lot of situations.

Personally, I love my PC and Switch and will probably never own a 'real' console lol

Re: It Turns Out Pokémon GO Players Have Been Training An AI This Whole Time

Level 42 player
While it is certainly a unique way to collect data for their AI (which I have no problem with this collection system, people know they are taking pictures for Niantic to ‘improve their services’), the rewards for scan quests are super bad. Like, 10 pokeballs or some potions. Not worth all the trouble of taking pictures for niantic. I have a scan quest in my inventory that I got in march of last year during a trip and kept it because it looks cool and don’t have to worry about getting any more scan quests lol

@rjejr
I doubt they will get rid of reload. They just gave it that big map update, and it requires far less people than a normal game. They’ll probably start putting items from chapter 2 into reload and leave the OG map to chapter 1 things, if i had to guess
At least, that’s what I hope they do because I like the fast paced gameplay of reload over battle royale on occasion XD

Been on a fortnite stint with my friends lately, and we loved the OG season (what really reeled me back in to the game). Love to see this becoming a permanent mode, but curious to see how it affects the player counts in the other modes.

I really dislike how the newer mythic weapons and bosses give just a few players a huge advantage, so I am very glad to have this original, more fair balancing back to enjoy

I downloaded the update last night after seeing an article about this, and yes, my fedora cat caused a solid second of freezing every few seconds. Unfortunate, but really funny.

I’ve already had two new night events and my main file was in winter, so I’ve seen new npc designs and content in my 3 days of goofing around. It’s a great update so far!
