3DS is probably my favorite console I've ever owned, so sad to see most of it's library out the window forever.

Hopefully the headlines here won't have any spoiler for the game...

A red super mario XL was my first one, then later upgraded to the SNES new XL model. I still have both and love them!

I'm interested in loop8, but I'll have to see more.

@PokemonDMG yeah, they're adorable! But the pika in Pikachu actually comes from a Japanese onomatopoeia for a sparkling sound (pikapika)

Very excited, can't wait to shiny hunt Ninetales (it is one of my favorite Pokemon!) I hope the story and soundtrack hold up too

The characters, story, jump to open-world, and Pokemon designs in this gen were outstanding. Too bad the games themselves are garbage. I enjoy playing this game and will likely buy the dlc (yes, sorry haters) but I really wish TPC would give game freak more than 2 seconds to develop their games to their full potential rather than pumping out more money. My workaround to the bug is not saving after I use Pokemon Go transfer, and so far my file is safe, hope this helps someone, really sorry to the people who lost everything

I like the art on the Japanese one, but from my limited knowledge of the game I think the western art captures more of what makes this Zelda game unique from others

This list is great! I feel like Minecraft was a lot more influential (I've never played skyrim, might be bias) and that portal should have easily taken the cake for 2007 but again it's not my list. Great work!

Edit: not only a great list but great developers, working so hard to bring these historical games to switch in such a stunning manner. It's really insane how much variety and content you can get out of the switch. It's going to be hard for the next console to top this library

I really, REALLY want to vote 2017 simply because BotW was an absolute masterpiece, but I’m going to vote for 2021. It brought Metroid Dread and the OLED model. Also, after years, 3D all stars made me finally sit down and beat Galaxy. But 2017 is such a close second with BotW and MK8D.

I vote SV dlc mostly due to Ninetales being shown. Pokemon Sleep sounds pretty lit might pick up a plus+

It's really sad to hear. He will be missed. He left his legacy in an outstanding game and an outstanding community, that simply will not be the same without him.

I remember playing one of these games at my friend’s house when i was younger. It was fun, might pick this up if it isn’t super expensive

Gen 5 Remakes is a high possibility, the SV DLC is all but confirmed. Also please finally say something about pokémon sleep. And while it is most likely not happening, i would love the first few gens on NSO. Still not enough to get me to buy the expansion, but i would like to give gens 1 and 2 a spin.

I picked the bdsp lite, there are definitely a lot of great ones up there. Sword/Shield lite and that monster hunter rise base model (even though I've never played through a mh game) probably would make my top 3
