@ChessboardMan Fixing?!? I'll only buy this game if they include the original voice acting. And if they do, I'll buy a billion copies because that's about how many times I played it on Dreamcast. Then a few million more on Wii.
@ChromaticDracula So do I. I have no interest in streaming music... I want to be able to purchase it, download it, and add it to my digital music collection so that I can listen to it when and where and why and who I want! ...Even though I've only played the game for like 5 minutes so far.
I finished playing Cosmic Star Heroine (which was a fantastic game) and instead of moving on to the non-RPG portion of my backlog as I had planned I bought Echoes of Wisdown and have been playing that. I can finish it 100% in 5 hours, right??!?
I thought that would be relatively easy since I own 4 DSsses, but I think the problem is that they're all DSis. DSies? DSiusses? I bet the REAL reason I didn't do all that well in the quiz is because I don't know how to pluralize "DS".
I keep having fantasies about a dual-screened Switch 2, because man oh jeez I would love a DSwitch. I don't even care about playing DS games on it. I mean, there are SO MANY DS games that I loved, but I already have enough games to play without replying the old ones, and I would love to have new games in a dual-screen format. If there's some way to play handheld+TV like WiiU, only less annoying... then holy crap I'll buy 11 of them day 1. Or, more realistically, 1 of them on day 11.
I absolutely loved this game, and still get some of the music stuck in my head from time to time. Then I bought the limited edition on 3DS and never finished it because I was letdown by the various changes they made (we've got a strong female character... let's make her sexy this time!)(no stereoscopic 3D even though it doesn't seem like it would have been hard to implement!)(gacha items!)(it's all in Japanese! ...no wait, that was just me being lazy because I can read Japanese but I'd rather not if I don't have to). At least I got a cool artbook! ...with sexy pictures of the characters that don't fit the near-apocalyptic mood of the game. Still... I'd love to give this game another go and will definitely buy it again the next time it gets remade.
My opinion doesn't count because I've never played more than a tiny bit of one of those Star Wars Lego games with a friend, but never owned one, but still... my biggest complain about Lego games is that they feature normal video game polygonal environments with brick-built stuff thrown in. This game is entirely Lego, and despite the mediocre reviews that actually makes me want to play it, especially since I'll never play the real version. Into the wishlist, then!
NNNOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO I already played this game for over a thousand hours on Wii U, and I'm 100% obligated to do it again on Switch, meaning I'll never finish my backlog (including Xenoblade Remastered)! I mean... I guess I'm happy.
I've never owned a Mario Party game, and the last one I played was... one o' them Game Cube-era games. But my best friend's wife worked on this one so he keeps trying to trick me into buying it (I avoided it with the previous one), and Nintendo Life's review tells me it's time to give in to peer pressure.
@Friendly My kid is 6, and we play all kinds of games together, but the problem is that he cries when he loses. So I let up on him and he's like "play for real!" So I do and he cries when he loses. Kids are dumb. Still, I'm totally going to take my chances with this game! Or take my chances with him, I guess.
I noticed that Identity just went on sale today and decided that it's time to buy that game because I love all the other Bithell games I've played. Cool, now I have to buy this one, too. Though I really kind of wish they'd go back to their own original IP.
I still carry my New 3DS with Xenoblade faceplates every day, and earlier this week the circle pad decided to explode. Well, I figured out how to repair my JoyCons, so I guess this is my next challenge!
Man. Dookie is a classic, so I went to the website and listened to all the samples and I thought it was kind of amazing. I can't imagine a lot of people would be able to get use out of the player piano roll, but I'd love that Minidisc because I still have a player. Or I could just record the album onto a blank MD myself, unless I already did that years ago.
People act like I'm a total weirdo for taking pictures using an actual factual camera instead of a smart-o-phone. I still carry my 3DS with me regularly, so maybe I've just been using the wrong camera!
Ahhh jeez, I just found the Saturn version of Lunar for around 500 Yen a week or so ago and was thinking that I'd love to replay those games. But having them on Switch means I HAVE to replay them, which is not good news for my backlog.
I'm pretty sure those are ropes, not vines. Still, I've never played any of the DKC games other than demos so I don't think I'm entitled to play for Team Semantics™ here.
Maaaaan I want Power Stone(s). And X-Men: Children of the Atom. Also MvC2. And Darkstalkers. Too bad they're all scattered across various compilations containing many, MANY other games that I'm not especially interested in adding to my backlog.
I bought this game on sale for something ridiculous like $1 a couple of years back, and found it to be... okay. It was fun, but once I started trying to get the best rank on every level, there were tons of them where I'd have it all figured out but the way the passengers show up randomly combined with the punishing time limits made it incredibly frustrating. But apparently not frustrating enough for me to power my way through and finish the game 100%. More recently, my son booted this game up and then immediately gave up on it, but I noticed that they seem to have added a ton of DLC content. I'm almost tempted to find out more, but... neverending backlog and all.
These long, long games are the reason I'm struggling to complete my backlog. Though today I just finished my my 60th game out of 118 on Switch. Next up, should I attempt to finish a bunch of shorter games (that always turn out to be longer than I expected), or put in the final grindy hours needed to finish Xenoblade 3 100%?!?
@CapitalQ WHaaaaAaAAAAaa how did I not know about this until just now?!?!? I swear I've never heard of it before, but sure enough an inter-netto-search showed me I'm dumb. Thanks for the info, though!
I randomly discovered the first series in a store just today. It's so very tempting... but a lot of money for a mystery box. With my luck I'd buy two and they'd be the same thing. Then my wife would find at least one of them and ask how much they cost. Uhhhh...
God I hate Sepiroth... he was the most disappointing announcement of them all in Smash Ultimate for me. However, that reaction of his after Kirby flies away from the hoop in this video is priceless. Slight redemption at last!
Well jeez, I always kinda wanted one of these (but didn't really NEED it), and after looking at the pictures I was like "hay you could use it as a controller!" Then I was like, "wait... why didn't they just put a charging port in the contoller-attachment-thing that came with the system in the first place??? Still, it might be nice to have a 1st party charging option I guess.
@CapitalQ Yeah, I was wondering that, too... if we can use current Joy Cons with the next Switch then releasing this now would make a lot of sense. Sort of.
Well crap... the HDMI connection on my Wii U crapped out a few years back and I was so distracted by my Switch that I kind of forgot about trying to get it fixed.
Amiibo are way too expensive these days and I'll never buy another one ever again unless it's some character from some game that I like. Damn you, Nintendo, please stop tricking me out of my money.
Totally agree with A Short Hike. What a fantastic game. I just picked up Minit a week or so ago and it's next up in my back-queue as soon as I finish BotW. Glad to hear it probably won't take as long as that game.

Whatever, dude, I still haven't beaten Ganon in Bo'tW! I'm getting there, though... I finished all the quests and whatnot, I'm like 95% done with the DLC, and I only have 398 or so Korok seeds left to find. Also, I bought a To'tK t-shirt today even though I don't own that game... yet.
@minamiyama I did, and I enjoyed it! It might be a while before I can justify adding yet another game to my backlog, but I have a way of surprising myself by buying games in my wishlist when I wasn't planning on it.
To be fair, Japanese people are absolutely terrible at naming things, so there are plenty of games with awful names that get localized and have dumb exclamation points or subtitles, but end up actually being BETTER than the original name.
Oh cool, in order to get Paramount+ in Japan I have to sign up for one of those streaming services that I REALLY don't want. At least I could also watch Star Trek... no wait, that's on Amazon Prime, which I stopped paying for when my kid stopped needing diapers.
