About what I expected. Back in December I commented on here: “I think we’ll get a paltry reconfirmation of a successor’s existence in a direct in February or March, with a larger reveal coming later in the year.“ Which more or less lines up, timeline’s shifted a bit and it wasn’t a direct but I figured it would go like this. Bit of a taste to drum up the buzz and we will get a larger look in April. I’m pumped, thought it was bang on what it needed to be.

Polygon are running a story that suggests Genki has never seen the new hardware and was only basing their mock ups on other leaks. Wild if true!

I’m not sure how I feel about the whole magnets thing, if true. Magnets can lose their magnetism when dropped, when heated, etc.

When keeping it real goes wrong

Yes to a direct, no to it being a hardware announcement.

Too many people just vote for whatever their region is, this one shouldn’t even be close.

The way “hard corps” stands out in the NA design ruins it for me, it looks like the kind of bad photoshop you’d see on a mid 90s internet fan site. Japanese cover has way more cohesion and a cooler neo noir style.

Making something THIS close to F-ZERO and only targeting Switch as a stretch goal irks me a bit.

I played this on PC with some friends and it is GREAT.

The Japanese cover so much cooler. Another milquetoast win and proof democracy was a failed experiment. /s

I’m usually top 25 with a fair amount of top 10’s. I haven’t gotten the dub just yet but it’s close. I can usually pinpoint where I went wrong, it can be a pretttttty small margin of error between 1st place and the rest of the top 25.

Let’s be honest with ourselves, this thing was NEVER coming to Steam.

I got this on Steam back when it launched just because the art style really grabbed me, I was pleasantly surprised, gud game.

They had me at Usagi.

Alright, what if… they release DS and 3DS games. Top screen is your TV, bottom screen is a Switch Lite. I would 1000% buy a Switch Lite for that.

The art style is not THAT much of a departure, and it is the gameplay that needs a refresh. In my opinion, this is two steps back after the Mario Maker games. Hell, even Mario 35 had more spark than this, it felt fresh. The formula needs a bigger twist. For me, anyways.

This game is GREAT, especially in coop. It has an overwhelmingly positive on Steam and will be an amazing addition on Switch.

I’m very curious to know what they’re working on!

NA all the way if it wasn’t for that big dumb quote. I like Japan otherwise, feels more sci-fi with the cooler tone and all the Japanese small font.

I could go in and finish the last set of sword trials, couple other odds and ends, but I think I’m good on BOTW. Ready to move on to TOTK.

New project, sure, but old code, old assets. Those people deserve equal credit, this project would not exist without their efforts.

I have been experimenting with the King Kong 2 Pro one and I rather like it. I think with most recent firmware there's less input lag. I tend to play wired and don't use gyro aiming so I haven't noticed the same issues. I have been abusing the hell out of it to try to test the limits of the sticks.

The NA/Euro box is tacky af.

Ahh, 3000-4000 per session seems way more realistic than her initial 4000. That kind of day rate is pretty darn good for most working voice actors, probably one of the higher tier union rates. The trade off with voice work is you don’t make as much but you can gig constantly. I’ve worked with some actors that recorded out of their own home studio with director/producer/client/etc just phoning in, and they line multiple sessions up a day.

The people comparing a VA’s rate to a typical hourly wage are coming across as REAL stupid, just thought y’all should know.

It’s very much in line with something like the cosmetics in Valorant. It’s how these games make their money, I don’t know what you expect. The majority of players will enjoy the game PERFECTLY FINE completely free of charge. A select number of hardcore fans will spend 100’s and sometimes 1000’s of dollars on skins and cosmetics. They need to keep the lights on somehow.

RIP, this game was soooo good when it launched on PC and still had a sizeable community, it’s such a shame that ideas like this game can’t gain wider attention. It’s so much more of an esport in my eyes than say a COD or some other paint by numbers FPS.
