Why do some of these Kickstarters give me the same uneasy feeling I used to get trying to score drugs in university?

The problem is that this doesn’t matter. Your average person isn’t paying any attention and politicians know this. Some politician will say “blame the games!” again in like a year’s time and everyone’ll be like “yeah blame the games!” Anything to avoid making the hard choices about violence, at least in North America (USA especially).

More austerity measures from Nintendo this gen. Which I thought we would be over by now. Surely they’ve gotten back to better financial positions after the Wii U flop. The Switch has had enough success for two consoles.

My theory (apologies if already mentioned, I didn’t read the comments): the control scheme just doesn’t work on the Switch because they dropped the ball HARD on pointer controls on the Switch.

I hope they completely overhaul the control scheme, like a ground-up redesign. This game has enormous potential, but it’s just too frustrating in its current state.

Meh, a couple things of note, but mostly a highly uninteresting slate of games IMHO. They need to come out with some banger announcements STAT.

I would happily buy both entries on Switch.

Not going to happen, is my unsolicited opinion. The Switch was always going to be an austerity generation after the Wii U and you’re seeing it in subtle ways like cheaper hardware and barebones functionality. I’m fine with the UI, it performs well and an alphabetized library is just fine for me (and I would assume most).

Good stuff on here. Killer Queen Black, Celeste, and Sushi Striker all rank in my favourite Switch experiences.

Great game, well deserved. Let’s Go! and Sword/Shield brought this grizzled old gamer back into the Pokemon fold after a long absence. Neither game deserves the backlash they have gotten/continue to get.

It never felt so satisfying to buy a game. Sword for me.

This is why I don’t tell anybody I play video games anymore. Or read comic books. Or like Star Wars. Social media fandom has reached such, SUCH, an embarrassing pitch.

The whole “Ryan” thing gives me the creeps big time.

I actually like that Euro variant more than the NA one, but I like Japan most of all for this one.

Stoked for this one, it’ll be here on Monday. Currently really into Disco Elysium and Killer Queen Black, so might not get to it right away.

SimAnt on PC was a revelation back in the day. I dunno if this scratches a similar itch, or not. Looks cool enough to try, and I like to support I&F whenever I can.

Game is a heck of a good time. I grabbed it on Steam but also have the physical Switch version en route. Maybe my fave game of the year so far. It just oozes good design.

Japan. No contest. You’ve all gone mad. The logo and logo placement is horrendous in the European version.

Absolutely HOOKED on Killer Queen Black on PC. Patiently awaiting the physical on Switch. It’s a personal record for fastest double dip.

The only part I like about Fortnite is that it keeps paying for weekly free games on the Epic Games Store.

Kinda looks like garbage in both screens? I definitely don’t see one as being significantly less crap than the other, but whatever kicks up the dust on the internet, I guess.

@Wavey84 yeah, I’m with you there. I love the Switch so far but it rarely, if ever, leaves my dock. Sometimes I’ll lay down on the couch with it or something, or play the odd TATE session with the vertical grip. And I find myself really missing some of the experiences that came out of the Wii and Wii U that I guess Nintendo saw as inessential for a hybrid device. Motion aiming is definitely one of those experiences.

The Switch is unfortunately much much worse at the pseudo-light gun thing than even the Wii was. The lack of the sensor bar makes these games a constant source of frustration and constant re-centering.

My only hope is that everyone who is ACTUALLY experiencing an issue is bringing it up with Nintendo support, twitter accounts, whatever they can do to get the message across in an official and orderly way to Nintendo. Making YouTube videos, jumping on comments sections, going on Reddit, none of that does a lick of good. Like not even close. In fact, the more unhinged or manic a social media community looks, the less likely a company will pay attention to it.

Patch it up and drop the price to 20$ like the budget title that it is, and maybe I’ll bite in a few years time. It just never looked good enough to me, not 55$CAD good, on any platform.

I call shenanigans.

My god, you people put way too much thought into theorizing and generalizing the reviews on this site. It’s kind of sad.

This and Bastion were game-changers for me back in the XBLA days.
