now this is interesting, a sequel not only happening soon after the last game, but also being the "smooth moves" game style we all expected the first time
hoping for a more complete package. GiT was great but slacked on a few highlights of past games (VAing, cinematics, toys/collectables)
The more i think about it, yeah AA5 and 6 are both pretty apollo focused by the end, he gets a new back story each game lol. Excited for these! If just for the fact that AA hasn't been forgotten about
im moreso interested on how diff the game will play, if they took any feedback to heart. this game survived off switch launch hype, so by all means try and impress me with a sequel to one of the worst switch games
This is sad to hear, I love their dillon series. I've always dreamed the series would make a return on switch, guess I should put that idea to rest for now
im glad about the reminder for the midseason patch that'll focus more on balances. you'll get your glory someday brellas, nintendo cant ignore you forever
games CAN be worth $70. $60 wasnt a standard that was gonna last forever when game systems just get more and more powerful, but thats a price point i have a lot less trust in with sonic
if the main complaint with the mario movie was that there wasnt enough focus on story and characters, then zelda is definitely series to cater to that audience. not sure why comments are so against it right off the bat when mario of all things shows anything could work as a movie
if the former nintendo president publicly acknowledged my piracy of a soon-to-be released game id go into hiding too. as joking as his tweet is he's also not wrong lol
when this comes in conjunction of the movie recently making 1B in the box office theres only so much "woe is nintendo" to go around. popular movies have been pirated for years, this movie has already been online for weeks. the fact that movies can be successful despite that shows how well off they are
pirating will never truly take over cause the general public would honestly rather pay for the convenience of receiving a product right then and there, than go through hoops of steps and sketchy links to maybe get a good quality pull of a movie
@TheBigBlue @Mauzuri battle league is a bad example tbh. i bought both games and switch sports is the far better deal. BL is not a big enough evolution to warrant all they cut from previous games. literally, its just one mode. its a fine game that should not be $60, and this being the only mario sport that nintendo offers a free demo to months after it came out tells me nobodys been playing it
i can argue switch sports is a complete $40 game after its updates. less modes, but still far more variety and replayability. the game didnt need to be wii sports resort + more, all the side mode wouldve bloated the online aspect tbh. and the game already shines in its simplicity and ease of use
thats harder to get away with in mario sports, theres needs to be a bigger hook than "main mode and online mode". it failed in ultra smash, and failed again in battle league
this is such a weird game to talk about. theres a lot to be said about its lack of modes and sports, but i still got so much value from the game and its online is FAR better than wii sports club.
with how successful that game was they shouldve supported it longer. nintendo this generation has been bloated with "less modes and content but you can play online now" games and this couldve been so much more
as much as you can criticize, its an undeniably fun movie thats never boring. a bit too fast paced only cause they throw so much at you, theres always something new going on
the games ended up more disposable than the cardboard. im still oddly on board for them to make more kits, the idea of DIY accessories and games is still really cool to me, its the best use of joycons by far. they just need more fleshed out gameplay and ways to share labo garage creations
half the fun of games like this is easily sharing and creating ideas. but sharing video recordings of labo vr was hard enough, they never fully taught you how to use the garage, and the games are so focused on local play it could never really build a bigger community. as cool as it was to construct your peripheral everything else after that was too shallow
in hindsight if nintendo wants a safe, sanitized rendition of mario on the big screen, illumination really was their easiest choice lol. now that the precedent is set i think future mario movies will just continue to look pretty with a passable script
@Specters pretty much what killed any hype for marios voice. he sounds fine and im sure we'll hear more "mario" sounds, but he just sounds like chris in the trailers so what was the point lol
i had the original aqua blue model and new 3ds (isabelle/happy home designer) edition. i had to be selective with my upgrades and im very happy with the both i got
the first model still felt the most premium despite coming first, and the new 3ds was just a solid upgrade to definitively have the tech
still seems like such a bizarre request. this mainly caters to hardcore melee fans, cause any other fan would just play the newest game
but if you want melee hd with widescreen and online play, why would you want it to be under nintendo's awful online service? the one game with the strictest competitive gameplay? the reason people still play melee at all?
chances are if you want online melee youre already playing it under perfect PC conditions, with greater service than nintendo could ever offer
i love the rabbit mascot, i wish he could live on past nintendos early attempt at free to play. he's cameo'd in other games and is so expressive and charming as a nintendo fanboy, it'd be a shame for this to be his only main appearance
@Koda1000 wave 1 of the dlc is definitely only a nostalgia bonus not meant for pull in newcomers. so unless your curious about wii u era splatoon your best bet is waiting on wave 2 info to see if that pulls you in, which seems to be an actual new story side mode
if the game has taken 6 years to make while STILL using botws existing engine and assets, i can only imagine how fine tuned theyre attempting the make the gameplay and mechanics
i still believe it's a great game that's a bad sequel. If NH if your first entry it's content is more than enough to service you, but coming out from NL it's easier to see how much content they cut from NPCs, buildings, events, minigames and side modes, ect.
Didn't help how awful the update pacing was done too, it opened up the possibility for more seasonal updates that never came after the bare minimum
At the end of it's update life cycle the game finally felt complete, and for this feeling like an AC reboot this was still a fantastic one that felt like it was stopped too soon
a paper mario ttyd remake would be amazing. it would look gorgeous with the series new art direction, and they could refine the gameplay and balance even more cause this format never really got another chance after that
tbh in hindsight it is weird that the main character didnt get a talking animal partner but the villain side characters did. seems like a standard we're used to in media
im not opposed to $70 if the games content can back it up. theres countless games should be priced under the standard $60, so on the flipside whose to say a games quality cant be worth more than that?
not EVERY game should be $70 but i dont doubt TOTK could be a contender for that price. ill throw eggs once they start pricing mario tennis at $70
this came out at the right time for me before i had any other device to draw on. you'd be surprised the little community this game had with an online gallery. it really helped cultivate my love for drawing and is still a major factor in my life.
granted me and even kids have better devices and software for drawing now, and i supported with switch kickstarter out of respect. but there will always be a simplistic charm to this. also i wish this music was used outside the trailer its so catchy lol
man this game blows. mario sports on switch already do that thing where they add one new gimmick + online to justify cutting modes and content. this game gimmick is having less of everything
On the topic of miiverse I loved being able to draw posts as well as type them. They live on in splatoon and mario maker and it makes me wish more social media had a doodle feature, it's such a simple and novel idea
it was the system i grew up with as a kid and even without games it was the perfect toy for me to tinker with. i got hours just out of the camera and sound app. making my own stop motion videos and using it to play music
ar games and face raiders being fun distractions to show off the tech, streetpass just making passing by another 3ds owner fun, ambience and personality in every app. it was the most definitely handheld ive ever seen, i dont think nintendo will ever go as hard with it again
@ReaperMelia id say 2, its more of the same from 1 but with tightened up gameplay and new mechanics
as for 3's case it could be worth it? its got a bigger production and scope, easiest game in the franchise too but getting 5 stars is still a grind. you should probably check if you like 1 or 2 first before considering 3
love this series, glad it did well enough for a bigger scope retail pretense in 2018. id also love the series to come back on switch
tho i will say the first 2 games are especially hard to get high scores in, and missions can last so long the game can be hard to jump in and out of. not the most digestible game for everyone but still a standout title

Re: Splatoon 3 Devs Tease "New And Different" Gameplay In Wave 2 DLC
With the base story mode essentially being a octoexpasion sequel it'd be a bad call if side order to also just another sequel too
If they wanna go on the opposite spectrum, possibly open world exploration? Theyve lived off small scale levels for too long

Re: Sonic Superstars Developed By Original Designer's Studio
Tbh this just makes me suspect the rumors that sega got "upset" the fangame devs essentially made them look bad by making a better sonic game
You'd think they'd hold on to the mania devs with dear life instead of attempt to maintain the status quo

Re: Nintendo Announces Everybody 1-2-Switch!, Pre-Orders Now Live
the gaul to make a 1 2 switch sequel, but props in acknowledging this isnt a a $50 franchise
but man this is the one franchise id like to see the trailer for, how do you get phones involved in a game that barely uses the screen?
