never heard of this thing before, but i do like how the control sticks cave in to the system. thats a cool way to keep sticks while also letting the system close
ill be impressed any moment nintendo takes the time to render a faces just a liiiil bit diff, rather than the stockphoto face they all do. plus the new one fits the perspective better
this is already looking like a better game. fzero 99 showed how being directly involved and disrupting the players adds to the hectic fun compared to pacman 99
man i forget how expensive lego can be, these are pretty small and condensed sets. i love AC but im just not in the market to display these or play with them from my imagination
@martynstuff he was laid off his job but now gets to live his dream as a nintendo youtuber, sharing his love and game collection with the world. he's popular, happy, and doesnt have any scandals
sad to see an era truly come to a close, this was the first one i got to experience from a full beginning to end
at this point there was no proper way to end it, just rip it off like a bandaid and let to wound heal. but if riiconnected24 and pretendo network means anything, its that anyone who truly still wants to play their 3ds/wii u online, eventually will
I couldn't even convince my family to play GiT with me, let alone something like move it. Im gonna have a blast with this but I hope the solo player content is meaty enough, cause from the looks of it there arent online leaderboard challenges anymore
so excited i am for this. i never got a chance to play smooth moves, and just the fact warioware returned on switch AGAIN as a proper joycon showcase makes me happy
plus, since Gold theyve done a great job letting the character's personalities shine and interact with each other. its a fun game with a fun cast
and i agree we need better unlockables and minigames, GiT had fun modes but only if you had people to play with
i know he's been a polarizing figure since the "stale" mario days, but from what i can tell he's been pretty hands off with most projects nowadays. mario odyssey is already an example of how he oversee a project, but have the directors have the actual final say
even sticker star, his most infamously influenced game wanting less story and unique characters, has awful game mechanics miyamoto wasnt involved in, and even found boring. i dont think his feedback alone makes a game better or worse, just directors and teams that dont have a proper vision of the game
oh my god an animation studio with a green screen? thats such a fandom tool perfect for memes and fanfics i cant believe its an actual game mode. they know the fans too well lol
neat event, but man nintendo will promote this game in any way except new content lol. the fact they still dont want us to forget about this game at least gives me hope they have something planned for the franchise sooner than later
i respect a lot of sakurais game philosophy, nearly all of them go by the easy to play hard to master principle. games like smash and kid icarus show you dont have to sacrifice content or quality to offer something accessible yet rewarding
i love dark moon but ive had my fill on 3ds. on a personal note i wish they kept the "dark moon" subtitle cause it sounds cooler, but the number does make more sense since that kinda naming implies it doesnt change up the formula that much
@Snatcher mmhm, but dont feel bad about lose streaks cause theres honestly so much rng that goes into solo queue some loses are just out of your hands. if you need catalogue points play turf, if you wanna have fun then play however you want!
@Snatcher mmhm its for sure playing turf. ranks "technically" give more points but only when you win, so thats not always reliable. turf is more consistent at rolling out points even when you lose so youre better off grinding that for the catalogue
this was an especially interesting yet very niche thing to talk about. cant say i disagree, i think its the right call for remixes to follow similar beats to the original, or at least have the original song as an option
with both the mobile game and switch game getting new content together, mario kart fans have been eating good.
wild when you think about how pocket camp still gets regularly updated. im still salty it hasnt come to my country, and that NH and PC couldnt have a cool update cycle together like mario kart did
more PvE content. i was really hoping salmon run would get more love now that its not timegated, but anything new its gotten has been super grindy and also timegated again (big run, eggstra work)? its forced into a supplement mode with the lack of meaningful content and rewarding progress
from movies to theme parks this was a long time coming, tho i do like how theyve come full circle in a way. from the very beginning theyve always been willing to experiment with diff business ventures, now that they've found their footing with games its like theyre willing to go back to that again
ive always seen nintendo as the disney of video games. fun for all ages, well thought out entertainment, accessible, ect. tho given disneys recent track record, not sure how much of a compliment that is
guess their main priority was making one complete game first which payed off. its very rare nintendo games get surprise dlc long after the original release passes, only cases i can think of are mk8d and acnl
looks nice. with the ac photoshoot at nintendo live, new commercials, rumored lego set, and now switch lite editions, i wonder why the sudden resurgence.
it could easily mean nothing, but i can still dream of a welcome amiibo size update like new leaf got. id be more than happy with a deluxe style rerelease, NH does a lot of things right but can still do more
call me copium, but i think nintendo realized after mario maker 2 online thats online coop is a lost cause, and i think having a live shadow of all the randoms your playing with is much more manageable and pleasant to play through
wish online with friends had the option for physical interactions tho, lag is unpredictable but with friends its at least in a more controlled environment
with so many more items being added i really wish we could save multiple locker set ups. my locker is already filled up and has been "finished" for months now, but i dont wanna change it cause you cant undo any edits and its just such a process to redo each time
Brella buffs.. someone on the dev team finally remembered them... not the damage buffs I was hoping for but buffing their core gimmick is a good step forward
@sanderev the convenience of playing this on my (potential) next gen switch is very tempting yes haha. tho the fact that the xbox version is delayed because the series s is having trouble running bg3, could mean nintendo will still have their own up hill battle bringing it over
i think the fact that devs are coming out and saying "pls dont expect us to make an rpg this big" shows how well crafted and content packed the game it. this should not be seen as an attack on totk, but a celebration on how the devs pushed the boundaries on what a game can deliver
i know this game is outside the nintendo bubble, but bg3 honestly did to RPGs what zelda did for open world games. theyre masterclasses of their genre even if their audiences dont completely overlap
i like how a lot of the improvements take ques from smash, which isnt a bad thing at all. smash has always been good at the "easy to learn, hard to master" mindset
the slime meter is such a cool idea. clouds limit gauge has always been one of the more simple yet effective gimmicks in smash, and having it also influence your combos is very interesting
id love to see nintendos "gamified" take on AC legos. not sure how the barcode scans can be used but i can imagine diff sets being their own acres you combine to build up your own lego town
always up for more characters but ive made peace knowing theyre done with this game (unless they wanna pull a mk8d with a remaster)
if anything id want them to bring back some old modes. break the targets, master orders, smash run and tour (needs to be revamped but mario party x smash bros is such a cool idea)
obviously smash can continue without sakurai, 2d crossover fighters arent a patented. but it's been his vision for the past 2 decades so things WOULD be different, for better or worse whose to say
im still more on the negative side. games with new directors and devs can improve the existing formula, but those are the exception not the rule. he honestly set the standard so high id be worried for who else wants to try making the next smash
its not like he's even making bad games, he still overly delivers on this series. the most complaints come from a technical aspect cause playing a game competitively will never be perfect

with how much nintendo is trying to bury the 3ds/ wii u library and kill off their last free online service, modding is just fair game at this point

Re: Charles Martinet On His New Role As Mario Ambassador: "I Don't Know What That Is Yet"

To me it sounds like he'll keep advertising mario? Hyping him up? Strange title indeed
Re: Nintendo Doesn't Plan To Announce Mario's New Voice Actor Ahead Of Wonder's Release
Interesting, the fact there's no fanfare makes me wonder if they're still trying to find the perfect replacement
Or they really don't wanna make a big deal out of it the same way Charles also just landed in the role of mario
Re: Super Mario Bros. Wonder Had No Deadline During Its Prototype Phase
fine by me. this is an especially new era for 2d mario, and mario platformers have always felt like "it'll be done when its done" kinda games
also something something pokemon wishes it could do this

call me copium, but i think nintendo realized after mario maker 2 online thats online coop is a lost cause, and i think having a live shadow of all the randoms your playing with is much more manageable and pleasant to play through
