Re: Starlink: Battle For Atlas Physical Release Will Require A 6GB Day One Update

@patbacknitro18 See I think you are wrong there (and Ubisoft’s decision on cart size more curious). If you download the deluxe ditigal edition, you get all of the ships/weapons/characters without the toys and at a much cheaper price. Ubisoft should have provided some additional incentive for the physical (and their toys) by avoiding the 6 GB burden on those wanting the physical.

Futuristic racers are my jam...and from the above comments, I’m not alone. Def feelin the love! Xenon looks great in concept. We’ll soon get bogged down in FPS, online and multiplayer capability, release date, price, file size, etc. But that was one impressive trailer.

(+1 for above conmenters who actually remembered RedOut was coming to the Switch)

I still remember awaiting on a surprising long line at Target one morning for my pre-ordered copy of Splatoon. There were a dozen or so Ebayers/scalpers there to buy some new Amiibos. One after one they left the register without Splatoon to my disbelief. I passed on the then-Target exclusive Jigglypoof; I was just so excited for Splatoon. And indeed, I got way more enjoyment out of Splatoon than I ever would have out of some amiibo.

Re: Fortnite Had A Whopping 78.3 Million Players In August, Largest Numbers Ever Recorded

There is a VERY under-reported issue with cross-platform play between Xbox One and the Switch that my kids are experiencing.
Basically, if you are a minor, you can forget about cross-play between Switch and Xbox.

From what I gather, because either there EPIC, Microsoft and/or Nintendo accounts reflect they are kids, cross-platform play is no longer available to them. This happened with a recent update and appears to be uncurable (unless you are willing to open a new EPIC account and thereby not have any of the goodies and v-bucks of the existing account). Three hours last night trying to adjust settings on 3 accounts, 2 consoles times 2 kids and nothing worked.

For those familiar: The "Allow Cross-Platform Play" option in the settings is OMITTED from the list of options.

Really stinks to have one kid playing with friends (all of the Xbox) and another having to play with strangers on the Switch due to this situation. Talk about keeping the Switch a second class citizen.

Time Carnage looks like a FP arcade shooter like Terminator Salvation or that Pirate game I can never seem to remember the name of . . . but always play with the kids. Guess I have a few more days to gather intel (releases 9/12), but thinking I'm in . . . .
