Looks okay but really don't think this is trumping my Asphalt 9 experience.

Can anyone help this DMC NOOB? About the only thing I know about this game/series is that they say it inspired/plays like one of my all-time favorites--Bayonetta. True for DMC 3?

@danrenfro2016: completely serious. Probably 300 hours in and still loving it. May replace Star Wars Episode I Racer as my fav arcade racer of all time.

Asphalt 9 has set the bar SO DANG HIGH not sure if this will pass muster, but always happy to see a solid arcade racer be available on the Switch.

+1 to NL for the Japanese characters in the Yuoni title. Most intrigued by: Shiny Ski Resort. I know.

RedOut is still $39.99 here in the States...maybe that's a good thing bc seems like many were disappointed by it...

Some obvious paths Nintendo has not yet taken to boost sales: alternative joy cons (i.e, gamecube style), better deal for multiple docks per Switch, better incentive to add 2nd or third hybrid Switch to house, 1st party games from franchises yet to have an original game on switch.

I remember this in an Atlantic City arcade and was blown away by the graphics and gameplay at that time . . .and was so stoked when the title of same name was announced for the NES. The NES version was wayyy better and its successor Tecmo Super Bowl was the best of the three (modders are still releasing annual installments with updated rosters!). So this is the grandfather of the legendary arcade football series that some of us grew up on. Worth $7.99 if for no other reason than nostalgia's sake.

A new F-Zero. Come on Nintendo, the world loves a good racer and Nintendo fans love and dearly miss this franchise.

Otherwise, I'll root for the far more realistic Bayonetta 3

Given that Nintendo has NEVER released a "pro" version of any console, perhaps this rumor regards only another Switch revision, like @Nintyfan says.

I notice it everytime I install a screen protector . . . and at no time else! Good to know though!

My Switch sacrifice is small screen vs. TV play. I love to park myself mere feet away from the game room TV, but doing so means I'm (usually) physically separating myself from the family and (2) cannot get anything else done. So sometimes I'll sacrifice the clarity of the big screen to see all the action for portability (and play while making coffee ; )

My number one problem with my Switch experience is moving between games. Solution: Mutliple Cart slots, multiple SD slots and MUCH larger internal memory AND better interface with game folders ...like the WiiU!

My number two problem is WiFi connectivity. Sometime I think my Switch must be encased in lead. Solution: better wifi connectivity (however that is done).

The number three area is battery improvement. Not sure if the revision adequately addressed it, b/c I still have the O.G.

The joy cons need to be fixed. Rails too!

A premium case (my back was all cracked and has been replaced) and a real kickstand that doesn't fly off would be nice too.

I would be stoked about adding another Switch like this to the house for $375.

@KitsuneNight : I agree...but I think they intentionally made this concept version a Switch-clone. Why? They wanted to let the world know they've got a portable coming but do not want to reveal ANY actual innovations of their own yet (maybe IP protection is pending).

Clearly, this concept design is a Switch rip-off that Alienware could not possibly believe Big N would allow to reach the market.

This presentation is HILARIOUS. It's like the Switch NEVER HAPPENED in Alienware land. Portable. Grip. Kick stand. C'mon.

In the US alone, there were at least eight "models" of the N64 in terms of motherboard revisions. So even it this leak is true, I'm not optimistic that the new model would be a "pro" but more like a third version of the same Switch we already know and love despite its few shortcomings.

But seriously, the Devil's Third would be interesting on the Switch because of the much larger install base (and maybe the game would be produced in a greater amount this time...remember when it was selling for like $100?!?).

Asphalt 9 is a ridiculous great arcade racer. I take issue with the Starter Pack being the only thing you should purchase. I would NOT purchase that, but if you like the game, buy 1) THE ANNIVERSARY CAMARO ($6.99), 2) $1.99 car packs (which give you tokens, money and packs, and 3) tokens when on sale and the grind is getting to you. At 175 hours in, do not regret any in-game purchases.

A bunch of eShop games like SHAKEDOWN HAWAII and SUPER MEGA BASEBALL 2 that made me FINALLY accept digital over physical (dang those tiny little carts)
And then ending the year with my first freeium love affair--Asphalt 9 and its arcade racing brilliance.
Excellent year for sure.

I have been SO SPOILED by Asphalt 9 (a mobile game that is one of the best looking Nintendo racing games ever) that I don't think this is going to cut it for me. But game play is key and I like everything @Discokuningas is saying about it.

My highlights--The Wii U's game library (best pound-per-pound Nintendo library?) and the Switch console. And that amazing moment of watching the reveal when the guy takes his dog and his Switch for a walk . . .and a later promo video with the Switch visiting the bathroom for the first time. You couldn't watch these and think the Switch would flop. Great way to end the decade, and I really hope Nintendo builds up the Switch library with ORIGINAL TITLES and some excellent (non-cardboard) peripherals and joy-con variants in the decade to come!

I figured RedOut would make it on this list . . . maybe NL is saving it for separate "most disappointing, ridiculously delayed game" list.

MVOP (Most Valuable Obscure Peripheral): The SNES Mouse. The BEST way to play T2: The Arcade Game on the SNES.

The Academy has once again overlooked ASPHALT 9! My GOTY by a landslide (and yes, I bought Astral Chain and Horizon Chase Turbo). Shakedown Hawaii is my #2.

Asphalt 9 deserves a spot here. Us Nintendo fans are not used to getting such polished racers and this one is drop dead gorgeous.

With the Pro Controller on sale for $55 right now (Amazon US), wonder if any of these 3rd party controllers can compete . . . even the ones that will make you feel like a giant (LOL!)

Intrigued but I should know better. I love the humor in the Star Wars games and the premise of all 9 films is great. But the standard LEGO mini-mission gameplay is not something that holds my attention.

Journey To Silius people!! Crank the volume UP!! I used to be able to finish this game on my 5th life...will now enjoy the save states and my return to one of the best NES games ever.

Mine is wrong! I barely touched AngerForce. Asphalt 9 on the other hand is why I've played my Switch way more in the last 3 months than the rest of the year. Clearly the game I've played the most. Weird.

I tried to vote for every game I have strong thoughts about, but 129 pages proved about 100 pages too much for me.

Asphalt 9 people. Fantastic arcade racer. Horizon Chase was great fun. I liked and completed Gear.Club, but Asphalt 9 trumps it in every way. And yeah, Renegade GP should be on this list.

MK8 and FAST are obviously terrific, but they'll always be Wii U games to me.

Go ahead and scratch GRIP and Rise off this list.
