Re: Crazy Justice Brings Battle Royale Warfare To Switch On 13th June

Well, my kids and most kids in my area have been loco about Fortnite. I see them doing the dances at the local pool. No dancing or mining/building noted in the trailer . . . making it seem a little more bland than Fortnite, but we'll see. Wonder if this will gain any traction, esp. if Fortnite comes to the Switch....

@Jansen: Your English is good (and way better than my non-English!). I wish I had some tips for you but I really played a TON of MK8 (WiiU) and very little MK8 Deluxe. There is a difference in the items; MK8 has "killzones" and the items last much longer. MK8 Deluxe items are more frequent but of shorter duration. Did not play long enough to figure out how to adjust to that change.

My Wii U setup was Morton (Heavy), the Indy car (very fast) and the roller wheels (acceleration). This fit my style and I LOVED drifting with it. But honestly, I was a very good racer but not a great one, and it was better on certain tracks (Shy Guy Falls!) than others. So my advice is EXPERIMENT (and make sure you always check the stats using the + or - button, I forget which).

@WiX : You’re correct and honestly, any MK8 players already knew how to max out speed, acceleration, etc. That does not equal wins. One needs to find a balance based upon their skills, their opponents’ tendencies and the track. The best I played with in MK8 (wii u), used rosalina (med heavy), the indy car and the purple tires.

Re: Check Out Two Of The Game Modes Coming To V-Rally 4 On Switch

@XenoShaun: It plays a lot like Roadsters 64. Real cars with play that is not quite arcade racing and certainly not sim. Upgrades abound. There are a crazy number of courses (over 100) and circuits. Most are on road, but some are off-road. Interestingly, some races are only 45 seconds long, others last 2:30, which seems really short at first, but pairs well with playing the Switch on the run. Graphics are very good (by Nintendo standards). Yes, the physical was something like $45, but given the heavy amount of play I got out of it, very worthwhile. (Full disclosure: I love racers and swear that Star Wars Episode 1 Racer is one of the greatest games made to date).

Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend?

I was away last weekend, so finally enjoying Baseball Stars Professional. Love playing teams I did not have a chance to dominate on the NES. The Super Stars (with Indy, Bond and “butman” are TOUGH!

Also bought and played Castle Of Heart on the newly added easy mode. Not too shabby....

Re: Soapbox: Why A Nintendo 64 Classic Edition Might Not Be Such A Good Idea

Yeah, I disagree with this entire premise. Those buying the mini consoles will buy an N64 mini, and it will be loaded with great games, notwithstanding the unfortunate omission of Rare. And I for one am completely fascinated with what N will do for the controllers. (Not sure why anyone would think 4 would be packed in; the N64 console was released in 150+ package variations and only a handful had 2 controllers at most.)

@bimmy-lee: Ha! Yes, thanks, I certainly appreciate everyone's indulgence with my persistently stubborn commentary (which I did try to keep colorful), lol. Please know it come from a place of genuine love for the Baseball Stars franchise !! Now, let's play ball!!
