Bigben Interactive and Kylotonn Racing Games have shared another trailer for V-Rally 4, giving us a tease of two new racing modes coming to the game.
We've already heard about the 'V-Rally Cross' and 'Buggy' modes, but now it's the turn of 'Rally' and 'Hillclimb'. Here are the details you need to know, provided by the game's publisher:
Rally: Modern and historical cars...Africa, Siberia, the American desert...in V-Rally 4, the rally challenges are real, technical challenges, on all surfaces, that only the most skillful drivers can hope to win.

Hillclimb: Phenomenal power and endurance are in store for you when you take on a mountain in Hillclimb. You'll be in control of race cars sporting over 1,000 horsepower, specially designed for this discipline, which you must expertly control on tracks running along cliff faces.
The fifth and final racing mode is called Extreme-Khana, in which you must master drifting and combine speed and precision in these trap-packed courses. Hopefully we'll see a new trailer and information for this mode in the future, too.
The game is still scheduled to launch on Switch some time after other platforms; PS4, Xbox One, and PC players can expect to start their engines this September.
Will you be lining up on the starting grid?

This might be my realistic racer I need on a Nintendo platform. We shall see.
I’m pant wettingly excited about it.....
Well, if we can't have the Dirt, Grid, WRC, Project Cars or Onrush series this will do. I would have liked to see Onrush, though. I think it would have found a good home here that it didn't on the Xbox and PS4.
Looks good so far. will most likely get this on the switch, hopefully we don't have to wait too long after the others!
Seeing as there was no sign of grip at e3, than this looks well worth a look. Don't like rally games most of the time but i think i enjoyed playing a v rally title last time i played one colour me impressed.
Can't wait for this, hope it reviews well.
Love WRC. This is deffo more arcade. Just really worried about that sometime after other formats. And better be all on cart - will except a single player cart, online download, just so long as game can be played without having to use up tons storage.
I’d forgotten about this 😁
🤞it’s good
I know it was said that the Switch version would come later but that trailer ended with a street date and the Switch logo with no mention of anything else.
@Spoony_Tech : Right?!? September or bust! Could use a little more gameplay footage, but the entire trailer is quite lovely!
Day one for me, supporting as many third party games as my wallet will allow Plus decent racing game.
Sounds good but one there's one problem. The lack of analogue triggers. I still don't understand why Nintendo doesn't incorporate them in their controllers.
@Hyrule I’m with you. This will easily be the best racing game on switch so far (not saying much) for me a rally game needs rally cross.... if it has that I’m in... some struggle with variety and this seems to know it needs to mix it up.
Glad this is being ported to the platform...but we already know that this will get delay or look extremely horrible compared to other consoles. Doesn't the other major third party devs have like old code that was build for the last gen that they could port to the switch? Give me Most Wanted from the Wii U. It doesn't need to have updated graphics or updated features. Just give that game. The same request goes for other racing games.
We can't deny this one looks pretty damn good!
Excited
Need to finish gear club first, too many other distractions ATM
I’m just hoping for a burnout paradise port
If it reviews well, day one.
The words Big Ben Interactive are enough to make me think this will be crap. Their history shows they are an awful publisher. Remember Tennis World Tour and the comments from the head which basically said they released their less than half finished game as they didn't want to miss the tennis season window and that they'll patch it next year. He also added that they couldn't really care either way as they already sold through their stock to retailers and the vast majority have no right of return.
I won't be going near this even for £5 on a sale and I'll make a point of bringing this up on each VR Rally article NL publishes.
Ohh baby! Love me a good rally racer!! Looking forward to this one!!
Well, only 2 months left!!, 2 months!!!
A rally game with a rally mode, absolutely revolutionary 😂😂😂
@OorWullie
While Big Ben Interactive did say some idiotic things regarding Tennis World Tour, and I wouldn’t touch that game with a 10 foot pole, it’s unfair to the actual developers of V-Rally to disregard this game so early. V-Rally 4 (unlike Tennis World Tour) is being developed by a team with some seriously fanstastic racing pedigree - ie. They’re the former developers of the WRC series before the license was given to Codemasters.
So while I can understand being hestitant because of the publisher involved, perhaps we should wait for the game to drop before throwing Kylotonn Games under the bus.
They may be rushing toward a release date, they may not. Personally, I’m waiting on gameplay footage before I pass judgement, but I’m hopefully optimistic.
