Greetings fellow gaming enthusiasts. I won 30 days of Xbox Game Pass after buying a box of Cheerios. What should I play in this span of time?

I have been playing Metro 2033 for the last week or so and I don't like it. I didn't enjoy the opening couple of chapters at all but persisted and started to enjoy it somewhat but now I'm back to not enjoying it again. I think I'm going to drop it and move on to something else. Life's too short.

It's been a couple of really chaotic weeks for me so finally I can put some time into gaming. Started Dragon quest monsters and discovered a couple of days ago that Monster Hunter Diary FINALLY got a fan translation, which I've wanted to play since PSP era. So ya know the plan ;D Happy gaming everyone!

I'm moving on from Rayman Legends for now. It was great, but rather easy. I'd recommend it to anyone into 2D platforming.

I still haven't touched the Back to Origins levels, but I've got everything in the main gallery other than a few gold cups, which I'll come back to after I play Rayman Origins.

I've just managed to get the last Teensie from Infiltration Station - Invaded. The Dark Rayman Invaded levels were tough.

After really struggling with Mariachi Madness, 8-Bit Edition and fearing the 8-Bit levels would take longer and longer, I ended up finding them pretty easy. Grannies World Tour, 8-Bit Edition was pretty wild.

Now I'm trying to decide between Okami, which I played back on PS2, and Bloodborne. I'm not sure I'm in the mood for something super tough.

I'll go for my ring fit adventure session tomorrow. Other than that I don't know.
I've got playthroughs going on echoes of Wisdom, metaphor and Kunitsu-gami path of the goddess, but I don't think I'll get to any of them this weekend. Kinda not in a gaming mood. Instead I'm attempting once again to learn how to draw. I've tried many times but I think my hands are too shaky these days to pick it up, none the less I'll give it another go.
Also finally got back into reading (or reading things that aren't manga 😅), lent a book frpm my brother called retribution falls and it's kick ass so far, steampunk pirates with a cowboy bebop style cast was how it was described to me and so far it lives up to it.

I felt a lot more relaxed and normal in front of the camera than in most of my previous videos, so I'm pretty proud of how the commentary came out, I think. Unfortunately, the game audio was a bit loud for some reason, so apologies if it's a bit difficult to hear me. Maybe this will help you decide if you're on the fence about the game.

Also on my channel, I've been playing Pac-Man World Re-Pac, which I plan to finish this weekend. I should be done in just one more recording session, as I'm on the sixth and final world. After that, I'll probably move on to Rayman Legends as the next game on my channel. I'd like to record at least a few episodes of that this weekend as well!

Otherwise, I might play some more Super Mario Party Jamboree with my dad, and maybe finish up Nikoderiko, as I'm almost to the end. The game suffers from an unfortunate lack of polish; I've gotten softlocked and had to restart a level twice, fallen through see-saw platforms when attempting to slide, and experienced several graphical glitches such as text randomly flickering. I could see that being a deal breaker and bringing the game down to a 5/10 for a lot of people.

But if you can get past the jank, the controls are solid and the level design is really, really good. I would argue that it's a better Donkey Kong Country clone than Yoola-Laylee and the Impossible Lair. It doesn't do anything new to re-invent the wheel, but it doesn't need to. It looks very lovely as well, but the load times are pretty bad. Maybe hold off on this one for a patch and a sale, because $30 is a big ask, especially for a game so rough around the edges as this one. But if all that gets taken care of, this is practically a third Retro Studios Donkey Kong game.

I've been on almost exclusively on the ROG Ally X, playing through games I've picked up for free PC Games between Amazon Gaming and Epic Games over the last few weeks.

Some of those games were also available on Switch, including The Gap and The Spirit and the Mouse, both of which were entertaining in their own ways.

I'm also playing the original Witcher game on the ROG Ally X, and while a keyboard and mouse is preferred, I have it mapped to the gamepad to make it somewhat playable. Despite it's age (2008 release), I am finding enjoyment out of it, just from a historical perspective. Fun times!

Finishing up Astro Bot after a week. It's a pretty great platformer with lots of experimentation, including some ideas reused in innovative ways. The challenge levels are tough, but going for completion has been fairly breezy.

I look forward to Team Asobi's next effort.

I've got perfect in every normal, plus and expert level in Mario vs. Donkey Kong, so now it's time to go through in time trial mode.

I'm also going for 100% completion in Super Mario Bros. Wonder; so far I've beaten Bowser and got all the Wonder Seeds.

Also also, I'm playing Kirby and the Forgotten Land. I'm just going through the story at the moment.

Who's playing Hentai Parody: Tentacle Slayer? Come on, own up.

I'm playing to Dusk these days and it's so good. If you've played what we used to call Doom likes in the 90's, do yourself a favor and play Dusk!

I am in the final maze in Etrian Odyssey IV: Legends of the Titan. Plants are giving me a beating. First game in the series I have played. Loved it so much I bought the Switch HD collection (and official Nintendo stylus to draw maps with) and the first 2 on original DS cartridges. Love it.

I can not stop playing Unicorn Overlord. Almost done with Elheim. And when I finish the game, Mario & Luigi Brothership or Sonic Frontiers will be next. Life is good.

PS5: I have been playing Dragon Age Veilguard daily since release. I have already clocked in 40+ hours and have enjoyed every second of it.
Xbox: Resubscribed to Gamepass to play Cod 6. Finished the campaign which was a blast. I might play MW2 and 3 now even though I have heard their campaigns are weaker.
Switch: I have made a new habit lately of sidequesting in TotK when the TV is busy. Such a brilliant game!

Metro 2033 Redux

Fighting nazis and mutants under Moscow in ranger mode is not as horrifying as sleep training my youngest baby with my wife tonight. It’s all in the name of being able to sleep through the night though and it’s the good fight.

I'm playing Sonic Frontiers on the PC and Sonic Unleashed on the PS3. I might start Dragon Age Veilguard this weekend, Metaphor ReFantazio is not holding my attention at the moment.

Mainly multiversus to last minute the battle pass…it isn’t looking great lol.

Finishing up my replay of Horizon Forbidden West

I just finished Kingdom Hearts: 358/2 Days using the Melon Mix mod, which basically modifies the MelonDS emulator to display all information on one screen, play in 16:9 1080p, and replace the DS quality FMV cutscenes with the ones from HD ReMix. I still plan on completing the game 100%, but for now I'm taking a little break with Sonic X Shadow Generations! Anyway, if you're a Kingdom Hearts fan, and you haven't played KH: Days, Melon Mix is the way to go.

Nearly 5 hours into Brothership so far. My first Mario and Luigi game, and I make the 'B' button mistake with Luigi..Enjoying it so far. Maybe I will give the 3DS games a whirl next year while my 3DS is still alive considering I own all 4 of them. Just the DS exclusive one is on my Wii U.

Last week I completed Castlevania Portrait of Ruin from the Switch collection. I loved the dual character gameplay. I’ll take a break from this set before starting one of the other games.

Will be playing Ys X and Echoes of Wisdom this weekend.

Still playing Sonic X Shadow Generations on Switch (the Sonic Generations port mainly), it's fun just to replay stages and do the challenges to unlock music. I've also been playing Fear the Spotlight which I quite like and has some spooky moments. I also found myself playing the Game Gear version of Sonic yesterday so may do some more retro gaming.

Well I’ve just finished Tears of the Kingdom after 175 hours spread over about a year. I was ready to finish, but what a game! What? No, I’m not crying - you're crying.

Think i might play Edith Finch next and some more Celeste, not sure really. My NSO subscription lapsed but I’m tempted to get it again and play some retro games as well as get the music player. Might wait and see if there’s any Black Friday sale at the the end of the month first though.

Today I'm traveling, so my gaming is limited. It's going to be Fire Emblem: Three Houses. I'm finally getting used to the whole Explore/Seminar/Battle/Rest hook. Right now I need to get my troops leveled up a touch as I guess I've been exploring too much.

Like any self respecting Switch owner I have a large backlog, Ys X and and Animal Well for example are both hot as can be and I know I would adore them.
But I just don’t have the time?? I work in a hospital, I have a family, and I’m finishing Nursing school, so I can’t find it within me to commit to playing games like I want to…

… so I restarted Persona 5 LMAO

I'm still playing Echoes of Wisdom. I keep focusing on side quests and looking for the smaller rifts, which I find more fun than the main ones. It's very enjoyable, though.

I'm also driving around Fortune Island on Forza Horizon 4, playing the recent-ish Haunted House remake by Atari and mopping up Old School Racer.

Continuing Luigis Mansion 2, really hits the spot for my pace and mood lately

Considering the patch which fixed Tomb Raider 3's stuttering released earlier on in the week, I decided to play that and its DLC before starting Brothership.

After finally beating Pizza Tower last weekend (pretty sure it'll be my GOTY), as well as Oxenfree II and Wavetale, I started Berserk Boy, so I'll be playing that. It's like a fun fusion of Freedom Planet, Gunvolt and Mega Man Zero.

@Eduard_Brenton well if I had gamepass at the moment I’d want to try out metal slug tactics and also snowrunner on there. These are both games I’m interested in owning but would like to see how they play first.

I’ll be playing a bit more Arkham city on the X and some stardew valley with my daughter. We started a whole new farm on the bluegrass farm. Oh what fun! Going back to this game I do wish the time was a bit slower each day, but we love it.

Well, I just finished playing The Upturned on Steam Deck so I may be playing Smushi Come Home next on the same system. I have been pretty addicted to shorter games that pack a punch in terms of content, and it finally went on sale so I just couldn't resist. Happy gaming everyone!

I've been playing Tears of the Kingdom, enjoying several different mods along with lossless scaling as usual.
Bug Hunter just keeps getting better and better. I've played about 5 hours of it and keep discovering new modules and techniques, which is amazing because it is such a seemingly simple strategy game!
I play Wipeout Phantom Edition almost everyday. Sometimes on laptop where I wish I had a 1000hz screen since it can run way above 1000 fps. Sometimes on Deck where I try playing at 40fps, 50fps, and eventually go up to 90 and just bliss out to the amazing electronic music I've added to the soundtrack. Incredible port.
Today I played the Super Mario Bros port to Commodore 64. It's really fun and very well done. It can't keep 60fps as well as the Famicom/NES, but is still super impressive.
Oh yeah, a few days ago I played Yoshi's Highland for the first time! What an amazingly crazy romhack! I really like it, but probably wouldn't have if I hadn't seen some online gameplay so I knew what to expect. It is difficult, frustrating, and exhilarating!
Other, much nicer, romhacks I'm enjoying are Yoshi's Lullaby, The Epic Quest of Birdo the Pink Dinosaur, Toad's Cherry Tracker, and Mario's Ruined Seclusion. So much amazing original music and great gameplay. Would be nice if Mario Maker had a quick easy way to only play such high quality levels/world.
I've also played some Pokemblem, but haven't gotten very far.
Also playing some Kill the Crows, Rocket League (really wish Epic would admit most matches are just all bots except 1 or maybe 2 humans, and let us play in offline mode against the very high level bots they've developed), and the absolutely gorgeous and super fun Kingdom Two Crowns!

I’m so sorry that happened to you Gonçalo! I’m glad you’re trying to see the bright side, which is encouraged, but I hope it was after a time of reasonable mourning. It’s OK to be sad sometimes. 😢 I’ll be praying for you.

As for me, it’s likely to be a busy weekend, but if I carve out the time, I’d like to start in earnest Baldur’s Gate II on PC.

I am currently playing Dave the Diver and it is a gem of a game. The gameplay loop is super addictive much like Stardew Valley so I will likely be putting alot of time into it this weekend.

Kingdom Hearts 1 mostly. Might get back to Xenoblade 2.

Fate/stay night REMASTERED – finished Unlimited Blade Works route on True End! Started Heaven's Feel route! Currently, I'm at the 8th Day. Got a few Tiger Stamps too.
The King of Fighters 2003 – completed the game on True End (fought Mukai). Mukai is not that hard as people say, imo. Maki Kagura was the hardest opponent to me. I've lost to her only once, thankfully. During my playthrough, I've used continue only once, after losing to Maki Kagura. I had Edit Team, that consisted of Shingo Yabuki, Kyō Kusanagi, and Iori Yagami. KOF2003 is definitely one of my most favourite KOF games, especially if talking about mainline ones.
OGRE TALE – played side missions 01-03. Completed Main Mission 04. Leveled up Ran to 31st level, if I'm not mistaken.
UNDER NIGHT IN-BIRTH II [Sys:Celes] – played ranked. Ranked up to C3 rank.
Phantom Breaker: Omnia – played VS Mode as Gaito & Rin.

I am enjoying a 3-day weekend and I’m focused. Barring any major plot twists, I will finally complete the story mode in Grounded.

Otherwise I’ll try to make a little more progress in Astral Ascent. And I most definitely will christen my new copy of Atari 50 Expanded Edition by ordering my children into the living room to grab a controller and take turns playing 2600 Skydiver with me. My sis and I had a lot of laughs playing that back in the day. 😁

It’s full steam ahead on Metaphor. About 20+ hours into it and I might prefer this over Persona. Dealing with the Archetypes is a lot more fun than fiddling around with demons/personas. I miiiiiggghhht go for Mario and Luigi as well.

I just rolled the credits on Bayonetta Origins: Cereza and the Lost Demon ! An amazing and brilliant game, really hadn’t played anything quite like it before. An underrated gem. It deserved a better review NL 😝!! It’s got me thinking about replaying the Bayonetta trilogy.

I also finished Death’s Door another really great game! Now I just need to figure out what to play next from the Backlog. I still have Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom to play but it hasn’t even been unwrapped yet. I also found original copies of Mass Effect 3 (Wii U) and Metroid Prime 3 all still unwrapped so my backlog is going back generations now!…not to mention 2 never before opened special edition 2DS. Interested to know what these are selling for these days.

Still killing and getting killed in KILL KNIGHT It’s perfect for in between games and playing in short spurts.

I’ve been really enjoying playing thru COD 6 and MW2. Might give Mech Warrior 5 a try on Gamepass, and shout out to @Ganner as I might even try out Snowrunner…u know with winter coming up and all 😝

After realizing how much true content and progression is available after rolling credits on Animal Well I have dove back into it to do some more! I had expected it to just feel like collecting things, but that is not the case!

@cosmograph Your icon takes me back! I bought ‘Selected Ambient Works, 85-92’ on LP in 1993. Based on the word ‘Ambient’ being in the title. Bit of a buzz word in music at that time….

I’m on the very last case of the 2nd game of the Ace Attorney Investigation Collection. Still hard to believe it took basically 13 years for this game to be released outside of Japan, but I’m glad to finally have it. Looking to play Some Mario Kart 8 and the Tomb Raider Collection as well.

What else? Balatro. I'm at 99.3 percent of Completionist, just needing one extremely shy joker to show his face during a run. Random chance is not my friend, I'm afraid. In the meantime, I'm closing in on Gold-staking a seventh deck.

@Rainz The author of Metro 2033 is a huge critic of Putin and had to flee Russia in order to avoid prison. That and the game being developed by a Ukrainian developer makes me think that he isn’t a fan.

@cosmograph That was the main album for me. It sounded haunted and other wordly at the time. Such a different environment, before the internet - when you had to take chances on things and often had to come to your own view on what you thought. There wasn't that ability to listen to music for free or discuss it, so it was a bit mysterious and more personal. I was into Nirvana at the time as well (?!) I listened to that record on my Mum's turntable in the front room, wearing a black army surplus jacket. Favourite tracks? The time signature on 'Tha' blew my mind open and the bass on 'Aegispolis' nearly blew out the speakers! Man, this has unearthed some memories. I am now a middle aged man, raking leaves in the back garden. Think I'll listen to a couple of album tracks before the football starts. All the best, my friend:)

Still on Shadow Generations, near the end of the main campaign. Still going for 100%, tho. A little Team Kirby Clash Deluxe, as usual. And I'm still working on Partners in Time (forgot to put that in the poll, whoops!). Need to beat that before Brothership. Have a good weekend!

The entire family is back in the area for our grandfather's funeral, so we'll probably honor his memory with a long-standing tradition: playing a butt ton of Super Smash Bros.
If I'm not too busy visiting with them for the next few days, I'll be finishing Metaphor.

After finally finishing Live a Live this week, I went back to Cave Story and finished that too. So now I want to knock off Metroid Fusion which I’ve already restarted twice in the past because of hardware problems. This time I will see it through.

Other than that, there was a frankly scandalous discount on physical copies of Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown, so I had to bite. If I’m too burnt out in Metroidvanias, though, I’ll finally do Portal instead.

Some good Smash Bros sessions with friends, been a while

Out of the latest Switch backlog booster pack, most items are to remain shelved for a while due to franchise binge queue concerns (Oxenfree and Figment sequels) or to the storage space ones (Afterparty, Senran Kagura Reflexions, Project Warlock...), but then there's the long wishlisted Friends of Mineral Town which is coming on board and likely on the weekend menu for sure. And to emphasize the scarcity of sim RPGs that compelled me to purchase it, other titles like RF3/RF5, Portia, Potion Permit, Scrapnaut Harvestella and/or Graveyard Keeper may well join the fray as well. Otherwise, business as usual - Xenoblades, Isaac, NMS, SR4 and GTA trilogy, Personas and Minstrel Song, Hogwarts Legacy and Borderlands 2, 13 Sentinels and Akiba's Trip, CrisTales and One's Justice... The habitually bloated to-play list is further accompanied by some Deck ambitions like Dishonored, Starbound, Nights of Azure and GTA 5 or some handheld console playthroughs like SotN, Chase Begins, Eternia and Endless Frontier, plus some more fooling around across the installed or streamable titles on PS4 in particular (Avengers and SR2022, RE3R and Bloodborne, MotorStorm Apocalypse and SkyGunner...) because the home machine is likely to sit next weekend out and then see a subscription lapse until [late] December. Time will tell, though.

Why Mario & Luigi: Brothership, of course! I'm also getting heavy into Animal Crossing: New Horizons again. I'm remodeling parts of island and working on finally clearing the DLC.

@Rainz Hey now! Just warning you if Snowrunner clicks for you it could spell doom for other games. It's all I've been playing. The game has a real slow start to getting the hang of things so I recommend to take your time with it. It's not everyone's taste by a long shot. I never thought in a million years this game would be my new gaming obsession but here we are.

Also, I totally agree with you about Cereza and the Lost Demon. I absolutely LOVED that game. The gameplay, the writing, the art style, and especially the music had me every time I booted it up. Not all was perfect though. I absolutely HATED the map system. It was so confusing and the online guides I found admitted it's confusing even with help. They were not wrong! Other than that headache I love it.

Ni No Kuni. Took 8 hours to start being fun, but now all good.

I've fallen back into a Minecraft addiction this week. Seems to happen once every few years or so. Spending dozens of hours on a massive underwater base right now, sand draining a chunk of the entire ocean by hand in survival ...and I've never even defeated the dragon yet. There is just something about it that never gets old once you return for a week or two ...or three ...before taking a break for another few years.

I sure ain't playing the Switch 'Power Point' version, though. PS5 actually running the thing properly, if at all, helps so damn much lol

Sure, Java is best and I'd like some shaders on console, but simplicity is king in my case.

I'm reaching the finale of Fire Emblem Engage. This game took a while for me getting used to, but it eventually won me over.

The strategic gameplay is the key aspect that got me hooked into this game. The Emblem Rings adds a lot of options for customization, the map designs are solid that makes good use of the terrain, it keeps the gameplay interesting with great enemy variety and tough bosses, and the break mechanic adds an interesting twist on how combat is approached.

Visually this game is arguably the best Fire Emblem has yet looked in 3D. The smooth battle animations (those advanced parrying/dodge animations were sick), the 3D rendered battlefields (roaming around the paralogue maps from previous games was really cool), and the art style makes the game look so vibrant with colors that pop.

The dialogue can be a bit shaky at times during the main story, but it excels with the upbeat and funny character supports. The story is serviceable so far, but at least it does lead to interesting gameplay scenarios.

The main theme song that plays in the opening is so corny that I love it. It's catchy and it perfectly sets the tone of the game letting me know that I'm in for a good time.

Hmm. My brother just gave me a PS1, so if I can find some games for that lying around, I’ll give it a try. If not, I’ll start Pokémon Yellow Version I also got recently.

@Burning_Spear You're a beast! The developers should honor you with your own Joker or something. How many hours do you have clocked in that game? It has to be closing in on my old Monster Hunter era hours.

I'm sure those of you that have been paying attention are probably rolling your eyes about me saying every week I'm playing Snowrunner (Switch). I'm getting to the home stretch of wrapping up Alaska. It definitely had challenge and tough routes however I think Michigan was just a bit more challenging. Probably because Michigan had a few more longer challenging hauls but I really dug the snow setting of Alaska. Can't get enough of the music, too. I told myself I'm stopping after Alaska to get back to the backlog quest but the Taymyr map is looking more and more tempting!

I'll try to play more Epic Mickey (Switch) too. I played a little last weekend but Snowrunner kept scratching at the door. This freaking game. I quit the Monster Hunter franchise for this very reason.

Finishing playthrough no. 15225 of the OG Baldur’s Gate trilogy (1, 2, and TOB). Then it’s onward to BG3, which will be all new for me!

I'm playing Sonic Unleashed on Wii at the moment. I completed the story about a year a bit ago thought I'll try and 100%. I never have since I've had the game, which was 2008. I hope one day the PS/Xbox version gets remastered and comes on the Switch successor, I've never played that version of the game except watching footage on YouTube.

I'm amazed how people can play multiple playthroughs of different games at the same time. I can't do that, I have to concentrate on one game at a time. Quite a talent in my books 😆

Started playing Xenoblade Chronicles 3 this weekend and finished Torna for the first time last night. I'm preparing for the release of X by finally going through my backlog of Xenoblade games that I hadn't played yet and it's been a blast.

I'm the same way, it's one of the reasons why it takes me forever to get through a backlog since I always focus on one game until I beat it. The one comment where the poster said they were playing 8 games is impressive lol

@Ganner I'm a little beyond 250 now, which is why it's a little frustrating that I'm just waiting on one random joker to pop up to reach Completionist. I'm playing Gold Stake on my seventh deck this weekend.

How are you doing with SnowRunner? Did I tell you I bought it? It's in backlog at the moment, obviously.

@FX29 It is. When I am in the zone for the game I'm playing I'm in the zone. I can't play something else alongside it. The next game will have to wait after I finish this one. I say that I haven't finished Tears of the Kingdom yet but that game is MASSIVE but I will return to it.

Haha no worries! I’ll be up front with you, I’ve kept the same user name here for years, even after adopting female pronouns and changing my life in significant ways. I guess ‘cuz my love of games never waned, and my activity here stayed consistent.

Edit - So, turns out it is on eshop, you have to do it via your switch and not on website as it doesn't show up there oddly. Found out this morning after a couple of frustrating days of wondering where it is

@Burning_Spear Like you with Balatro it's pretty much my main game. Like I said in today's post I'm getting close to wrapping up Alaska and had intentions to stop there...but the next map and some of those DLC maps have been looking very interesting. Oh crap.

I'm so curious what you're going to do with yourself once you complete Balatro to your satisfaction. Will you drop it entirely and move on to another obsession? Or LOL are you institutionalized and experience any separation anxiety. To be honest it's happened to me after being super deep into a game. I experienced that with Hades and especially Everspace. With Everspace I had to uninstall it because I just kept doing runs even after I 100% it.

I'm really hoping my brother gets back from hospital tomorrow- if he does, I'm gonna start the Ace Attorney Investigations duology as from seeing me play the other AA titles, he's taken a shine to Edgeworth 🙂 he can watch me play while he builds his strength back up lol.

That aside, I am 40 hours into Persona 5 Royal. Time really does just melt when you're deep into it! Loving it so far, and find it absolutely hilarious that while in other rpgs, you may be close to the end by then, here I've only just finished the 3rd palace. Also Yusuke is the best 😉

Also playing Castlevania: Dawn of Sorrow via the Dominus Collection. It was originally my brother's, and I can see why I preferred Portrait of Ruin as a kid. The map design is annoying in that there's not a lot of teleportation points and there's a ton of dead ends until you get the Puppet Masters ability. Still, I'm happy to carry on in the world of Castlevania 🙂

So now I’ve finished the main Danganronpa series, along with Ultra Despair Girls. Whatever should I do now? I get so invested in a series and now you’re telling me it’s over?

I guess I still have one more game to play: the infamous Danganronpa S: Ultimate Summer Camp. Why is it infamous? It’s a paid gacha game with microtransactions. But it also has a lot of interactions between characters from different Danganronpa games (including Ultra Despair Girls, which was never ported to Switch), much like the Ultimate Talent Development Plan mode in DRV3. Also, you can play as Hina, so surely it can’t be that bad. Right?

Where are Yuta and Taichi from Ultra Despair Girls, though? If you’re going to include characters from that game, why not go all the way?

@FX29 @TheLastSkyLoftian I'm so with you guys. I have such a hard time dividing attention. When I'm in deep in a game it's priority. I can only deviate from it for something quick like a round or 2 of Tetris 99, a run of Balatro, Hades or Sifu (games that were at one time previously a priority but now beaten to the point of satisfaction). I try to do at least 2 "main" games but if one is better than the other then I can't sustain it. For example right now Snowrunner is literally taking over everything. I'm trying to add in Epic Mickey but when I play that one I feel the pull back to Snowrunner. Apologies, backlog.

In Tears of the Kingdom, I beat Colgera earlier this week, and now I'm doing some side stuff throughout Hyrule. About to head to the sky to get some treasure maps and sages wills. In My Time at Portia (playing on Steam), I did the builder's test, and also finished fixing my house. In A Hat in Time (also on Steam), I've started doing Chapter 2, I've done Acts 1, 2, 3, and 5, and now I'm going to do the Owl Express time rift. Last of all, in Fire Emblem Heroes, I'm still playing through Book III on Normal mode, and Book II on Hard mode. Just did Chapter 5 of Book III, it's getting really good.

My word, Mario and Luigi brother ship feels like a huge game by Mario and Luigi standards. I think it took a while to get going (a trend amongst the series) but it’s really finding its straps where I’m at

Wordament Snap Attack (Android) - Done what I can with this now. Time to delete and move on.

Free Slots Fun Factory (Windows Phone) - Also done what I can with this one. One more WP title for the scrap heap!

Still mostly the same stuff from last week. Playing Alan wake remastered and doing the dlc stuff. Been an interesting game. I do like it. My friend didn’t even start it like we promised ugh.

Just Unlocked the bowser board in Mario party jamboree. Can’t wait to play that.

Drakengard 3 on my ps3. Got to the last part in the game. Hated the freaking rhythm genre they put into the game that has no business being there. Hardest part in the game. Impossible for me to do it. I need save states to do something like that. I just looked up the ending online which wasn’t much. Never had to do that in a game ever. Just goes to show how hard that part is. Still have the last part of the dlc to do so I will do that. Very disappointed by this game overall. Only thing good about it is story and characters

Monster Boy and the Cursed Kingdom. This is my type of game. An absolute delight.

S.T.A.L.K.E.R CoP and Wayfinder 1.0. Both are great. Wayfinder is a wonderful surprise. Finally a modern ARPG I'm vibing with... an ARPG that isn't YS.
I believe that games are better now than ever, but man...every time I play something from around the 7th generation, it sure does feel like we lost the plot somewhere.

There were many Overcooked style mini games in this Barbie game.

@Alpha008 That’s good to hear that Brothership improves over time, as my initial reaction is disappointment.. very generic start, it doesn’t feel great (unresponsive and choppy), lack of Nintendo polish and magic. And maybe I’m mistaken but it looks like a Wii game.

Rolled final credits on Sea of Stars, which was just overflowing with charm. I'm really glad I played The Messenger prior, although its just fantastic too. Highly recommend both games, in either order. On to my next RPG!

Beyond that, I thought I was freed from Vampire Survivors, but Ode to Castlevania brought me back. The game really is lightning in a bottle.

@Ganner First off, Completionist status was finally reached this weekend, in addition to gold-staking a seventh deck and (so far) closing in on the eighth.

I have no idea when this obsession will end, but it often does when I'm sitting around on a Friday night, ready to jump back into my current game, and then say, "I'll just play an hour of this other game first." And then OCD and ADHD take over, and the "other game" becomes the go-to and the game on the hundred-hour run becomes a dust collector.

Well here we go with another wild WAYP. Been a stupidly cool week around here. The week was mostly the games I wanted to focus on beating like Zelda, Astro Bot, Trails Through Daybreak, Emio and Metaphor. Most of the weekend was spent with Emio and Astro Bot. Emio continues to be an amazing mystery that has me enthralled. Astro Bot on the other hand I not only beat but got the Platinum Trophy for and absolutely loved it all that is seriously a GOTY. Also dabbled in Life Is Strange Double Exposure and Slitterhead like I wanted and they were both really good LIS being like Emio and having a engaging hook and Slitterhead being a wonderful horror experience just a shame it wasn’t a Halloween pick. Rest of the weekend I’m thinking is gonna be some YS X Nordics I really really liked what I played and wanna get a really solid session of it in to really dig in. Otherwise I’m thinking this week is mostly gonna consist of some Zelda, Trails Through Daybreak, Emio, Dawntrail, Metaphor, BLOPS6, Sonic X Shadow Generations and hopefully dabbling in both Mario and Luigi Brothership and Dragon Age The Veilguard on my day off as yeah I picked them both up and they both look exceedingly amazing. Think I’ll maybe pick up that Metal Slug Tactics too. Also kinda considering looking into a PS5 Pro. And yeah Dawntrail is back on the menu because we got Patch 7.1 Crossroads coming out. The wrestling things this week being the build to Survivor Series WARGAMES just has me so hype currently we just have the Bloodline War but I can’t wait for them to build the rest of the card it’s so hype. Anime of the week gotta go to Oshi No Ko and Dandadan and Dragon Ball Daima and Shangri La Frontier and Yakuza Fiancé and Ron Kaminohashis Forbidden Deductions and Ranma 1/2. Yeah we got all our picks for fall and they re seriously peak picks like go check them out. Podcasts of this week gotta go to Castle Superbeast, Big Think Dimension, Into The Aether, RPGsites Tetracast, Minnmax, Jeff Gerstmann, Kit and Krysta, Last Stand Media, Easy Allies, Second Wind, Nextlander, Cultaholic Wrestling, Weapon Wheel Podcast and Remap Radio. I know exactly how you feel - you’re not alone! Tuesday confirmed exactly where people’s priorities lie - money is everything, come what may.
I’m more bitter than depressed at this point, though. Maybe try to look at it this way - when the crazy train comes to town, it won’t be on your conscience, or mine.

In the meantime. take care of yourself, try to focus on what you can control, and indulge in a game or something to take your mind off things, when you can.

I'm having trouble with the reality that we 're not the country I thought we were. It hurts. There's the pain we're all going to suffer from stupid decisions, ie tariffs, that could have been avoided. The inmates are truly going to be running the asylum.

You're right: we can only do what we can do. I'm a news junkie, but for a few days, am avoiding it. I have taken some of the frustration out on my apartment and done a deep clean, lol. Thank you for your sensible words. And, again, you are right: we're not alone.
