I understand that the purpose of Yuzu is piracy, which is illegal of course, but I don't understand the emulator can be illegal. The statement refers to an agreement you "agree" to when using software on the Switch, not a law. Can anyone explain this to me?

@LexKitteh Yes, this is likely the real issue. It's not difficult to rewrite things that are too sensitive for Nintendo of America, but copyright laws for music is a much more difficult issue to get around.

I'm fine with buying the same game again, as long as I can choose the alternative path straight from the beginning. I already did all endings the first time around.

Oh, this is one of the most boring rpg:s I have ever played! But, of course, I'm happy for those who like it (and are able to stay awake long enough).

The reason for Nintendo to allow this would obviously be to make their console more attractive. However, I think it would hurt software sales on the Switch too much, so they probably won't allow it.

A little sad for Monster Hunter 3U. It has voice chat through the controller by the way, that would have been something for the Switch!

Judging from his behaviour on Twitter, I'd say just about anything could have made him snap and just leave the company. So unless he tells us what this is about we'll probably never know.

I will probably buy these out of nostalgia (and they are of course really good games). I am very happy they included the original graphics!

@Stamina_Wheel I agree, but can also imagine the people complaining about the GTA ports (I would definitely agree with them) aren't the same people complaining about this port.

This is how a port should be done, I see the "barebones port" as a positive. Personally, I don't care about multilayer, but I understand it's important to some people.

@Kiyata It's a handheld in the same sense that the Wii U gamepad is a handheld.

@Ooccoo_Jr No, Nintendo needs to make sure their devices are cheap and energy efficient, so that a) people can afford them while still leaving profit for Nintendo and b) temperature and battery life will be decent even with a nice screen and so on. These two factors are not really compatible with competing with Lenovo and Steam deck power-wise.

@sketchturner I wouldn't assume "many people", in the sense of a large percentage, were disappointed, but those that were probably felt more incentive to tell us.

Monster Hunter rise!

This is the type of port I prefer: as little changes as possible from the original (i.e. unlike the GTA ports). As for the price, I'm sure those who want it at a lower price can just wait for a discount.

I really enjoyed Wolfenstein II, such a fun story. And killing nazis feels better than ever!

The first Pikmin is my favourite, and the Wii version has much better controls than the Gamecube version. I should get the Switch version to see if the better resolution is good enough to compensate for lack of IR pointer.

Music in this game and botw is just amazing. Too many games have this constant background music taking you out of the immersion.

The story is the least of Other M's issues. Characterisation and storytelling aside, Other M is a disaster. Nothing of what makes Metroid games good is there. Exploration? No, the level design is bland, boring and extremely linear. But the worst part is of course gameplay. The wiimote has too few buttons for a game like this and using the d-pad in this 3d game is an awful idea. The combination of the OP "sensemode" and autoaiming means all you do is spam dodge and fire over and over. There are a couple of fun boss fights, but ultimately you don't even get to finish the game yourself, since other NPC:s will do the most important deeds for you. There are lots of issues besides these, but if the gameplay would have been fun, those could have been forgiven. At least the graphics look nice.

@Bablommebite Of course, so the whole issue is that studies show that males are favoured over women in cases of equal competence. If this is the case, then there is an argument to be made for favouring women in the recruitment process, to level the playfield. Now, IF the playfield is already level (which it typically isn't), then of course a low ratio of female executives is not a problem.

Yes, Metroid Prime Trilogy on the Wii is fantastic thanks to pointer controls (of course, sensitivity needs to be set to maximum)! I also really miss the light gun games from Wii.

Gameplay looks great, would have preferred a more "cartoony" artstyle with stronger, less pastel colours, and the music is a bit of a letdown. Hopefully, there are better tunes in the full game.

Happy to see a new Warioware game, but what was up with Wario's voice?!?

I liked 1-2 Switch. I didn't like playing it that much, but I really liked the idea of using the joycon for cool things. If you can use your phone to play this, I don't see how it can be interesting.
