There is already a movie for it ? What ?

There is no reason this game is 1080p docked on Switch 2. The hardware has WAAAAAAAAY enough power to make it run 4K... but they just need to make some adjustments on it.

But people that say games are all 90 euros now on Switch 2 said it would fail ? How could they be wrong ?

It's 80 bucks to buy Astrobot. Is it worth those 80 euros more than the latest MK ? I didn't see any controversy with this price tag (last I heard, all of the clickbait youtubers praised Astrobot for being an actual good game, a nice change of pace for Sony), so I don't see why MK should be concerned with such controversies.

Mario kart World's price tag is FINE, as in : it's standard for the rest of the industry, so why all of this focus on this particular game... ?

We live in a world where people pay 10 bucks for their coffee, 1000 bucks for their latest iphone, 15 bucks a month for whatever subscription based streaming service they have, 80 bucks (base game) + 40 bucks (season pass) for whatever AAA developers are throwing, 15 bucks for a skin in League of legends or whatever online multiplayer game they play, but somehow, 80 bucks Mario Kart World is where people draw the line, too much is too much 🤣

All of this controversy has been manufactured by youtubers that desperatly want attention and money.

Even for 0 euros I don't want them. Those are dust collectors.

@solidus no mate, I fully agree with you on this one. Before playing TTYD remake, I thought it was the superior game (because I played the game when I was little and I had incredible memories of it), but now I really think Origami king is the best in the series.

It's soooooooooo creative and fun.

I might just replay Mario Odyssey. Still a masterpiece to this day.

Plus I have to finish Baldur's gate 3. Finally. I bought it on release day, 100 hours in, still not finished, and they released a new update with new subclasses that I kinda want to try

I have a hard time getting into Xenoblade X. I really like the combat system but I find the exploration pretty meh. I thought it would be the opposite before picking it up.

None of us have any idea what the hell is this "hall effect", if it would have been better or anything, if it's really that good, cuz, you know, we are not freaking tech engineers, and the fact some youtubers said it would be so much better has overall little value, as you can find everything and its litteral opposite on this plateform, both presented as indeniable truth.

So no, it was not a dissapointment for me. They said they redesigned it from the ground up so yeah, it could very well mean joycon drift is a thing from the past. We will see. Glad those sticks seem to feel super great at least !

This whole controversy around MK world's price was just plain dishonest. This game is priced correctly. I'm paying 80 euros anytime to play this new MK. I cannot say the same of other recent releases, games that barely run without a bug every 5 seconds and yet, still, are sold for 80 euros base price, plus whatever season pass they are throwing at LAUNCH.

@Grumblevolcano I'm gonna defend this right and there : if key game cards did not exist, you would see a lot of third party games go fully digital on switch 2. They don't want to optimize and / or the price of Switch 2 cartridges are too expansive.

@OldGamer999 you may not notice it that much, but trust me, your brain does.

Playing 2 hours in 60 fps and 2 hours in 120 fps, you will feel way better on the later.

@Yosher Why everyone is taking the very specific price of "Mario kart World PHYSICAL RECOMMENDED PRICE BY NINTENDO" ans stretching it to EVERY Nintendo game ? Isn't that a bit misleading ? You could say we went from 70 (TOTK) to 90 ? 60 to 80 (DKB) ? Or maybe... 50 to 60 (what you pay on Amazon and other retailers) ?

Switch 2 seems like a great console, despite the prices. I'm so excited to finallay play it ! I wish we could also focus a little bit on "hey, those games look really good". We did not really talk about all this.

The fact they put all of it PLUS the DLC on the cartridge is mind boggling.

Seems like a really solid port. Of course it does not run with max settings and all, but it looks really good considering it's running on something 20 times smaller than a computer

Man I'm so excited about this game. Odyssey was the best 3D mario imo and there's no reason to believe this game is not gonna be in the same vein

As far as third parties are concerned, I also want to try cyberpunk. It seems like a solid port so why not.

@Anti-Matter yes they do. If a game does not contain every data in its cartridge, it has to be specified on the game box. So pretty much every Nintendo game we saw has everything on the cartridge

@Needham90 I think the switch 2 is way more powerful than a base ps4. It's closer to a ps4 pro from what I heard.

Plus... well, optimization. They had time to make sure the game runs fine.

We will see but I don't see them releasing the game in the same state as before.

It's a really good deal now. I might give it a try, I want to play quite a lot of different titles from previous consoles

Really curious about this new game, can't wait play it ! Sakurai is a talented director, and he LOVES to put an absurd amount of content in his games, so I'm sure it will be filled to the brim !
