Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? (18th April)

Finally wrapped unicorn overload last week or two ago. Fantastic game and loved my time with it. Next is Trails in the sky FC remake. Enjoying my time but I may have got myself stuck we’ll see. And then I wasn’t gonna cave in, was planning on waiting for a while till I bought it, but I picked up pokopia. My friends mom works at Walmart and I got a 20% discount on it, so I felt it was acceptable not paying full price for a game key card

@solarwolf07 oh that’s crazy I haven’t found that out yet. I went back home months ago and brought my oled instead of my 2 just cause i didn’t want to bring a dock and my friends don’t have the 2 yet. They are all obsessed with towerfall so I got lucky I brought the oled. It’s literally the only thing that group of my friends wants to play

Re: Nintendo To Change Pricing For Digital & Physical Switch 2 Exclusives, Starting With Yoshi

Grim

I always thought, and was excited for, digital games to be cheaper than physical counterparts when online stores started to exist (ps3). And then was so disappointed when the price was the same. Like it doesn’t really make sense when there is no product being created and shipped and all those logistics for it to cost the same. It made me enjoy physical games more honestly. Cool tho that now digital games are cheaper on day 1

I finished Pokemon y last week, at least in terms of Pokemon league and champion diantha. (Probopass, espeon, bellosom, aegislash, Azumarill, and charizard) the charizard was out of character for me. I’m still playing unicorn overlord. Like 54% of the map uncovered. Ordered trails in the sky fc on sale, since second chapter was announced, here we go. I adored the couple hours of the demo so I’m excited for that. I saw 1 gkc at Walmart for pokopia and passed on it even thought I really want to play it.

Re: Splatoon 3's Spring Splatfest Returns Next Month

Grim

@KayFiOS ya you’re right. A calendar of in game events on Nintendo life, for basically anything on switch would be cool. Hard to be all encompassing tho I suppose. But first party releases like air riders should be very attainable surely

Re: Splatoon 3's Spring Splatfest Returns Next Month

Grim

@KayFiOS I don’t think we need to be worried about Nintendo not giving us more splatoon. It is so popular. And I’m pretty sure you can still get matches in splatoon 2 much like people were still playing the og until the end of Wiiu online functionality. It’s great that splatfests are still going. And I’m quite positive any and all splatoon games for switch 2 are gonna be awesome as well

Re: Two More Kirby Air Riders amiibo Are On The Way, Out Later This Year

Grim

I wished I lived near a eb games so I could constantly check for secret sales and get this series of amiibo on heavy discount. Last time I was in one was after Christmas and both Kirby and bandana waddle Dee were like maybe 30 or 40 ish percent off and I didn’t buy em. Like I don’t need them, but I still have regrets lol

@PushMyGran86 my ps5 is also gathering dust. My year in review or whatever for 2025 was 24 hours played and it was all rock band 4 cause of the delist so I bought it for the first time and went and got all my plastic instruments from home. Meanwhile switch family got some like 600 hours of playtime or something. One day a game will draw me back to ps5. (I bought the thing for hogwarts legacy basically)

Re: Poll: What's Your Favourite Gen 8 Pokémon?

Voted toxtricity, but this one is hard. Easily could have been rillaboom, galarian obstagoon, hmmmm seems to be a band theme going. Not picking rillaboom was hard as someone who plays drums. Oh but also dragapult

Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? (21st February)

Still working on unicorn overlord, and some Pokemon y on the side. Got some games in the mail from VGP, hundred line and Pokemon moon, so excited for those but won’t start them yet. The xenoblade x resurgence in popularity is awesome to see but I finished it on my switch 2 already and don’t need to check back in just yet

Re: Poll: What's Your Favourite Gen 2 Pokémon?

Grim

Togepi. Just loved it so much as a kid. If I could vote for three, those legendary dawgs for sure. Honourable mention to houndoom and delibird. Delibird sits on top of my Christmas tree every year

Re: Poll: What's Your Favourite Gen 1 Pokémon?

Grim

Oh boy how do you pick one?? Ok favourites are; bulbasaur, gengar, Alakazam, drowzee and hypno, clefable (who absolutely smacks hard in Pokemon red early game), dragonite, jolteon and like probably more that are endearing and awesome. Honourable mention goes to snorlax. Now how do I pick?? I think gen 2 I would go with togepi tho, I was obsessive when I first saw togepi.

Unicorn overlord has been absolutely fantastic. Put a solid effort into it yesterday and pushed further into drakenhold and did a bunch of the side quests for cornia. Once my partner was home from work we played some Mario kart world, and he’s starting to keep up with me and even beats me occasionally which is like a massive accomplishment in gaming for him, and is just lovely to see. Might spend some more time with ball x pit, Scott pilgrim, or Pokemon y on the side. But I also need to snowboard and play some drums in there too. Good luck to us all
