Re: Splatoon 3 Removes Rainmaker From Anarchy Battle Rotation Due To Bug

Grim

Ya’ll are being dramatic, this third entry is incredible. Easier to play with friends, easier to get ability chunks to make custom load outs, easier to play salmon run, you can skip splat cast when you load the game, the catalogue rewards is cool (the only way a game should do a season pass). I could probably think of more. The dropped connections is the only downer and I’m sure we won’t be talking about that in six months, I hope lol

Re: Random: Pixel Artist Reimagines Paper Mario For Game Boy Advance

Grim

hot take; don't you think the combat style of the original paper mario (and probably ttyd, but i haven't played it) is pretty much the same as the combat in the mario & luigi games. with all the timing turn based stuff. superstar saga feels like paper mario to me. it was the handheld version of paper mario. maybe i'm out to lunch

Re: Team Gear Wins Splatoon 3's Deserted Island Splatfest

Grim

Ok wait. Why was clout scored differently for open and pro. Fun won pro by a bigger margin but only got 10p, where gear won open and the margin was closer but got 15p????? Was that just to prevent a tie? I kinda wish they never changed the scoring from wins to clout.

Re: Team Gear Wins Splatoon 3's Deserted Island Splatfest

Grim

Tricolour battles are so difficult as the winning team holy crap. Just absolute chaos. Won lots of matches in the first half and the just got steamrolled it felt like on Sunday. I would suggest never picking shiver if you want to experience tricolours or matchmaking against the opposite team. I think I played against my own team (fun) maybe 5 times all weekend.

Re: Nintendo Reveals Colourful Pokémon Themed Switch OLED

Grim

I told myself I wouldn’t upgrade from my og switch till there was a special edition oled. So I bought the splat 3 one. I still haven’t seen it yet because it arrived after I left for a wedding. I’m probably gonna love it once I unbox it, but damn this one is pretty slick too. Dunno if I picked the right one lol

Re: Talking Point: What Was Your First Mario Kart Game?

Grim

Mario Kart 64, and I agree with others about best battle mode. What more do you need than block fort? Absolutely dislike double dash. It never made sense to me when it came out, and still doesn’t make sense to me when I’ve gone back to it. All the handheld ones are incredible as well

Re: Japanese Charts: SD Gundam Battle Alliance Is Switch's Top-Seller In Strong Week For Sony

Grim

I was in a GameStop in Canada and asked an employee about the ps5 price increase, since it’s been a big deal and people mention it a lot on this site, and was curious and thought it would be a big number. He said it was going up 20 dollars, and not changing in the states. 20 dollars isn’t really much is it? Are other countries being hit harder? Based on the internet complainers I thought it would be like hundreds of dollars

Re: Rumour: New Metal Gear Solid Remasters Reportedly Incoming

Grim

I’ve only played 4 and I loved it so much. The online was so good too. I loved the cinematics and was not prepared for the final one basically being a movie but luckily I was able to enjoy all of it without some family interruption at the time. That game and new Vegas were ps3 high points for me. Loved that console. Anyway would definitely buy a collection to experience more of the series

Re: Sega Shares "Sonic Frontiers Players' Reactions" Video

Grim

My older brother had sonic 2 for his gamegear. That’s the only sonic game I’ve kinda played. Oh and this weird arena fighter thing I had for gameboy advance. This will be my first 3D sonic and I’m pretty excited for it. I’m impressed that I have some anticipation for a sonic game, because that’s literally never happened before. I’ve definitely thought about buying mania but dunno

Re: Mario Strikers: Battle League Tips And Tricks - 10 Hints To Help You Win The League

Grim

Questions for people who bought the game;
Can I play with three friends online on the same team together? Or are we stuck playing each other in private 2v2 matches?

Is there no rule settings like in smash? No way to turn off hyper strikes?

Splatoon 3 better make playing online turf wars with my friends on my team way easier this go around. This stuff shouldn’t be overlooked

Re: Here's Your First Look At Netflix's New Castlevania Series

Grim

First story arc was incredible. Some of the best fight sequences I’ve ever seen. Sypha is so badass. I wasn’t aware of any behind the scenes or scandal stuff cause I never looked the show up beyond just watching it on Netflix. Fingers crossed this series is just as good

Re: Pokémon Scarlet And Violet Releases 18th November

Grim

Looks better than sword and shield which I still enjoyed mindlessly playing through lol. Arceus was awesome in my opinion. First time I’ve ever come close to completing a Pokédex (stupid cranidos). Like to voice that I will also be selecting violet based on hot dad professor, that’s all it takes

Re: Best Twin Stick Shooters On Nintendo Switch

Grim

@GhostGeneration and then if you find it difficult to hit moving enemies with the nuke, just aim at walls or other environmental objects that are beside the nearest enemy. That will make sure it detonates. Main boss is all about finding safe spots and then blasting it with the nuke when it’s down. Anyways that’s all the advice I got lol

Re: Best Twin Stick Shooters On Nintendo Switch

Grim

@GhostGeneration I’ve played 30 hours (just started a new run right now cause wanted to refresh my memory) 145% on arcade, 100% on rogue, and 175% on voider. I typically use dash class with self repair. Always pick levels with the most loot or most elites, and the special levels that show up every now and then. Scrap everything and I make sure to boost my mini nuke first before anything other equipment. But play till you find a mini nuke and always keep that at hand, and I usually just pair it with a machine gun. Something that doesn’t burn out fast. Enter room draw aggro, back up, hit first enemy with nuke and clear the whole room with one bulllet. Rinse repeat

Re: Best Twin Stick Shooters On Nintendo Switch

Grim

Came here to praise neurovoider as well. Had some wonderful hours with it in the early days of the switch. Only rogue like I’ve ever beat. Gets pretty easy if you find the rocket launcher canon thing that has massive aoe splatter damage. Not hard to end up with it on every run
