Re: Nintendo Switch System Update 10.0.3 Is Now Live

Grim

@Ryu_Niiyama I wish I could say I can't relate, but my life has flashed before my eyes twice. First time was an ignorant partner who ignored the charge cable between dock and controller and the switch went flying. Second was a friends puppy who got behind the tv and caught the hdmi. Blessed be the tempered glass screen protector. Switch is still fine luckily, but holy smokes was I worried in both situations. More worried than the state of my relationship lol

@MarkieMAN64 second this. Astroneer looks awesome.

I really don't understand the do or die gyro controls opinion. But that's fine cause ya'll will think I'm insane for hating them. The only time it's alright is breath of the wild. But dear lord did I hate the splatoon gyro controls. Dunno how anyone can play with it on.

Been having trouble getting matches as well. Playing with friends and it takes forever to fill one spot, or it doesn't fill and we disconnect. Takes a few tries to get a game going. Then we'll play a few and get booted again. It started out fine earlier in the day and then got worse

Re: Moonlighter DLC Expansion Launches On Switch At The End Of The Month

Grim

@Al_Godoy Ya I agree man. The game looks and sounds great, but eventually I was making so much cash it felt kinda easy and I had bought everything for the town. I got bored of the same dungeons and never went past the third. I also think I got burnt out trying to beat the boss of the third or something

Re: Skater XL Comes To Switch This Summer With Plenty Of Top Brand Apparel And Boards

Grim

I think the bread and butter must be the gameplay. Hopefully it's on point. I'm not too worried about a lack of environments because the downtown LA they just added looks like more than enough. So many iconic spots! And like everything else these days more levels or areas can be added later as long as people are buying the game. Fingers crossed at least this or session is fun and does well

Re: Skater XL Comes To Switch This Summer With Plenty Of Top Brand Apparel And Boards

@FNL I think it's going to have quite a difficulty curve, especially if you have years of muscle memory built up from the skate games. What sets it apart is that there are no programmed tricks in the game. Kickflip is not attached to an input like left square or down half turn left on a joy stick like skate. Each stick is a foot and to do a kickflip you have to move each foot as it would normally. More of a sim I suppose. It allows for the tricks to actually look different based on the person's somewhat unique input. Speed of stick movement, or timing of when they move each foot (like early/late flips kinda), or if they don't understand timing and flip the board more rocket, for example. I only just found this out about the game and am now pretty excited for it. I like the idea of the learning curve being hard to get tricks exactly how I want them to look. It feels like the reasons why I enjoyed skate so much in the first place, and can never go back to a tony hawk game, taken to a new level. I think there's potential. But not if no ones buying it

Re: Human: Fall Flat Gets A Brand New Level In Free Update

Grim

@holygeez03 Last time i tried to play online with a friend we couldn't even get into a game together. Matchmaking didn't really work. It would only drop us into games with randoms. This was quite some time ago so I don't know if this has been addressed or changed

Re: Reminder: Splatoon 2's Free Demo Goes Live Tomorrow Ahead Of Next Month's Splatfest

Grim

@Razer lol k. Love this game and have been playing since launch. I've wanted some friends to get it but it's hard telling people to spend $80 on a game. Really happy the demo will allow parties with people who own the game (even tho I hear it's a pain, matchmaking that is), and the inclusion of salmon run! Hopefully they get hooked and are interested in buying it on sale

Re: Dr. Kawashima's Brain Training For Nintendo Switch Adds A New Memory Exercise

Grim

@Silly_G I had the same problem with 5's and 9's in the original ds game but I eventually figured out i had to change my writing style and it would work every time. Try changing your starting point from how you typically would write out a 5. If you usually start at the top try writing it from the bottom first. I just used trial and error to figure out what the game liked and then I stopped having problems. It was a little weird at first but it solved my frustrations. With 9's I always start at the top do a circle back to the start point and drop the line, but the game didn't like that. So I switched to starting the circle from the bottom through the top and down. I haven't got a chance to play this new one since I'm in Canada, but hope this helps. If it even makes sense haha

Re: Feature: Nintendo Switch Ports We'd Love To See In 2020

Grim

Games people mentioned I would fur sure buy in a heart beat; SCOTT PILGRIM OMG PLEASE, portal, new vegas, borderlands, dead space 1
Games people should also be talking about; the warriors(best rockstar game fight me), sports friends(the one PS3 move controller game would actually be playable because people own joy con!), warioland 2+3, elite beat agents, downhill domination, skate, bomberman 64(favourite bomberman multiplayer by a landslide). Gonna stop here, because like most, I could go on forever. But seriously Scott pilgrim, the warriors and sports friends would be amazing

Re: Nintendo Has Now Sold More Than 750 Million Games Consoles Worldwide

Grim

Nintendo has been a pretty big part of my life and I'm ok with that. Absolutely insane thinking just how much they've sold. Currently have NES, snes classic, n64, switch, gameboy colour, gba sp, ds phat, og 3ds, and 3ds xl. If the opportunity presents itself I would definitely pick up the cube and snes

Re: Review: Dead By Daylight - Fun Online Horror Action That's Ugly And Expensive On Switch

Grim

Been loving this game. So much fun to play. Bought it on amazon for 39.99 Canadian. 60 dollar games are usually 80 here so don't know why people think it's a 60 dollar game. Lots of survivor/killer options to play with without buying more dlc. Everything about the gameplay suits the cheesy b horror esthetic and I love it. Doesn't even require good teammates to still survive.

Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? (September 28th)

Grim

Finished off Astral Chain about a week ago. Is there any merit to finishing the cases that Olive gives you? I love the combat in game, but I actually got kinda tired of just going in an destroying chimera. The mix of gameplay in the story playthrough was much more enjoyable. I will go back one day to try and 100% cases i'm sure.
But what I really wanted to comment about, this being my first comment, is that people should play Dead by Daylight! Its actually so good. I'm also really feeling the October mood and just want to fill the month with spooks and horror as much as possible. The game doesn't look pretty, but the gameplay loop is addicting. Both that and Ni No Kuni showed up yesterday, and I thought Ni No Kuni would be a great break for when the horror is too much, but I just didn't stop playing Dead by Daylight last night. I also just don't want to see servers die and not have anyone populate them. So far not a problem finding a match. Couple times had to quit out cause waited forever to have a killer for the match. Anyway Dead by Daylight is really fun and I highly recommend, and just haven't seen anyone talking about it here.
