Re: Review: Shadow Labyrinth - Nintendo Switch 2 Edition - Sometimes 'Good Enough' Is Just That

Coolmusic

Thanks for the review. I will try Shadow Labyrinth at a later point, my backlog of games is too full right now.

While a "darker" take is obviously not my personal cup of tea when it comes to classic, family-friendly IPs like Pac-Man, I can appreciate Bamco trying to do something new here. And atleast Shadow Labyrinth hasn't (to my knowledge) been explicitly confirmed to be directly canon to the "main" Pac-Man settning. Its just canon to Bamco's shared sci-fi universe (the game is also the only Pac-Man title included in there from what I seen).

Re: After Croc, Argonaut Games Wants To Remaster This N64 Cult Classic

Coolmusic

One of those interesting N64 games I saw as a kid but never got the chance to try out. If the remaster happens then I give it a shot.

Also, maybe its because of the color scheme and the fact that this is a mechanical bee, but I first thought this was about Pinobee (anyone else remember Pinobee? Please I don't want to feel old again😭) when I laid my eyes on the protagonist here.

Re: Look, Maybe We Should Stop Asking For A Sonic Adventure Remaster

Ideally Sonic Team would just let another more capable gaming dev (whether it is one of Sega's subsidiaries or an external company) remake SA1 & 2 while they're in a supervising role themselves, but sadly Sonic Team (especially Iizuka) has too much pride to let anyone else touch the Adventure games.

Re: Pauline's Age In Donkey Kong Bananza Has Been Revealed

Coolmusic

Nintendo knows what they're doing, messing with the head of all the fans who do care about whatever microscopic grain of canon there is in Mario, lol.😝

In any case, I never would have guessed Pauline is a teenager here. I figured she was 6 or 8 at best. I still think some age-reversal incident is the cause of her new age in this game.

Re: Donkey Kong Bananza Hasn't Forgotten About Diddy & Dixie Kong After All

Coolmusic

NPC or not, I'm just glad they are in.

"The first time we see the duo is at one of the shops towards the end of the Direct (during the amiibo section), where DK picks up a letter and carries it to the table. Both Diddy and Dixie are waiting at the stall for him there."

I actually missed that.😆 I only saw them during the rhino part.

Re: Rumour: Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds Character Leaks Reportedly Surface

Coolmusic

Meh, Miku was expected and I'm still fond of TMNT despite no longer being into the franchise like I used to be but outside of that I don't care for the rest that have been revealed so far.

Honestly when it comes to 3rd-party guests in Crossworlds the only one I had in mind was Crash Bandicoot, mainly because during all the "gaming mascots in kart-racing" craze that was going on during the 90s and maybe the early 2000s I always felt the Crash racing games were arguably the most successful or famous ones that wasn't Mario Kart, and so I thought he would make a good fit for Crossworlds (and hey atleast Crash is an actual active game character with 90s origins like Sonic).
Who knows, maybe he still has a shot, and considering some of the guest IPs in Crossworlds is having additional characters (wasn't Patrick also leaked?) maybe they can bring in Coco and Cortex as well.

With all that said, I dunno how big the amount of 3rd-party guests (including the leaked ones) will be in the roster but I sure hope it doesn't outgrow the amount of the actual Sonic characters and Sega IPs.

Re: Hideki Kamiya Intended To Continue Bayonetta With Another Trilogy

Coolmusic

While the possibility of a new entry in a couple of years is always there, I feel like the Bayo IP has run its course at this point, all things considered.

Which is fine with me personally. Honestly, the only PlatinumGames-related IP I worry about nowadays is Astral Chain. I really don't want it left in the dust.
