Re: NIS America CEO Apologises For "Negative" PS4 Comments During Chat About SNK Heroines On Switch

Berto_Gamut

It's official, the butthurt has gotten to executive levels lol

I found nothing negative about what Mr. Yamashita said when it comes to Sony, several indie devs have said the same thing about PSN leaving smaller games in the dust while they insert splash ads everywhere for Horizon, God of War, and the Fortnite cash-cow. Their store was not implemented well at all, just like during the PS3 era.

Anyway, he was told to apologize because a vocal Sony fanbase was so angry that they all started saying "I won't pick up those games anymore then".....which is about the lamest thing they can do and why it's very easy to give them the "Sony Pony" moniker.

Enjoy the ride :]

Re: Spin Your Six Shooters Because Wild Guns Reloaded Is Coming 17th April

Physical I can understand because pressing to those cards is not cheap, but $30 is way too much for digital. Companies need to start implementing a smaller price for digital releases, or include them with the physical release.

A Kindle book usually costs around $4 cheaper than its physical version.
A comic, vinyl record, Bluray, 4KBR, or CD comes with a download code for a digital copy.

I guess our version of this is "wait for discount sales".

Re: Video: New Crazy Justice Footage Gives Us The Fortnite Feels

Judging by the way the character spins around and looks at the ground a lot, the controls seem pretty tanky. I'm willing to give it a try since the pre-order is only $15.

My problem with these games is they don't give the player enough to do and customize. Where are the ridiculous rocket launchers, jetpacks, or vehicles? It's all just running through open fields and taking cover. Hopefully Ready Player One inspires these things out of devs moving forward. Sunset Overdrive and Splatoon are probably the best examples of player customization right now.

Re: Sonic Mania Plus Arrives On Switch This Summer

I already have it digitally but do not mind double dipping to show my support for this brand of sonic. Here's hoping the Mania series becomes the main Sonic while green eyes can stick to racing. Two Sonics from different timelines has gotten incredibly stale.

Re: Masahiro Sakurai Confirms He's Working On Super Smash Bros. Switch

...the copyright at the bottom of the new smash tease means nothing. Companies control what copyright show where, it could've just said 2018 Nintendo if they wanted it to. Some have even put out bogus copyright just to throw folks off.

Before MGS5 was revealed, they teased it as a completely different game called The Phantom Pain and made by a fake Swedish developer named Moby Dick Studios. It was used in the copyright.

It's a fighting game, so the idea of reusing assets for a new game is not unheard of. I'm guessing they'll be using enhanced WiiU models and bring back things like target smash or the subspace emissary. I just want to see indie characters finally show up along with my main homie Travis Touchdown.

Re: Review: Johnny Turbo's Arcade: Gate Of Doom (Switch eShop)

Berto_Gamut

These are great retro games, I've been loving the neogeo, psikyo, and arcade archive eleases. Just wish we could blow the doors wide open and get a full library of 80s and early 90s games on the eShop.

Would love to see Atari do what ACA is doing, but they seem to be geared towards a really expensive Ataribox...

Re: Kimishima Talks Nintendo’s 3DS Strategy Going Forward

Quite a few NLife regulars (including myself) already felt 3DS was here to stay. We all said pretty much what was quoted here and pessimistically shooed away because of it.

Then people started acting like nothing was releasing for the 3DS...as new releases were being announced for it

Taste the booger flavor!

Re: Castlevania's Second Season Airs On Netflix This Summer

Berto_Gamut

Nice! The first season was awesome. They definitely kept the Castlevania tradition. All these upset people want Mousketeers in Castlevania and frankly, the franchise was never about that. It's like going to watch Deadpool and expecting Moana.

Here's hoping this prompts Konami to actually care about the franchise again. Would prefer to skip all the Lords of Shadow junk though.
