With no revealed line-up other than what's already in Sega Ages, I'm not sure what the point of this mini console is....other than to officially show how bad AtGames is with emulation.
I imagine they're exploring the possibility of mixed reality via add-ons. Something that works with Switch in the same way the gamepad worked with WiiU....just on your face. No cables all over the place and simple functional VR/AR not focused on 4K graphics.
It's official, the butthurt has gotten to executive levels lol
I found nothing negative about what Mr. Yamashita said when it comes to Sony, several indie devs have said the same thing about PSN leaving smaller games in the dust while they insert splash ads everywhere for Horizon, God of War, and the Fortnite cash-cow. Their store was not implemented well at all, just like during the PS3 era.
Anyway, he was told to apologize because a vocal Sony fanbase was so angry that they all started saying "I won't pick up those games anymore then".....which is about the lamest thing they can do and why it's very easy to give them the "Sony Pony" moniker.
That's really cool, would love to see other classic games get the same treatment. Kind of interested in printing these on high quality paper and binding it
Physical I can understand because pressing to those cards is not cheap, but $30 is way too much for digital. Companies need to start implementing a smaller price for digital releases, or include them with the physical release.
A Kindle book usually costs around $4 cheaper than its physical version.
A comic, vinyl record, Bluray, 4KBR, or CD comes with a download code for a digital copy.
I guess our version of this is "wait for discount sales".
Judging by the way the character spins around and looks at the ground a lot, the controls seem pretty tanky. I'm willing to give it a try since the pre-order is only $15.
My problem with these games is they don't give the player enough to do and customize. Where are the ridiculous rocket launchers, jetpacks, or vehicles? It's all just running through open fields and taking cover. Hopefully Ready Player One inspires these things out of devs moving forward. Sunset Overdrive and Splatoon are probably the best examples of player customization right now.
That's a tough call between the Nintendo 64 Anthology (by Mathieu Manent) and Console Wars (by Blake J. Harris).
N64 anthology really dives into the weeds of all kinds of production info. While Console Wars details Sega and Nintendo's crazy saga. Both great reads I'd suggest to any gaming enthusiast.
I'm half hoping it's something from the Kill The Past series. But get the feeling it's Kurayami, the true Shadows of the Damned game before it was heavily morphed by EA.
Whatever it is, I'm super excited because this is Suda51.
@Jack_Goetz I love those remasters, they absolutely need to be released for Switch.
Gamestop put up a physical listing the day after they revealed this one for $40. After pre-ordering and checking the next day, it shot up to $60 lol. Safe to say this is up in the air right now.
It honestly doesn't sound that unlikely given Microsoft current stance with cross-platform play and Minecraft. Even Sony recently opened up a company with plans to release on other platforms.
Hopefully this means they're interested in porting a lot of those games. Banjo Kazooie, Battle Toads, and Perfect Dark on Switch would be...perfect
It works fine for me now, opens quickly and isn't buggy. But apparently we're in a hurry to turn it into PSN, with huge ad spaces everywhere and a slower running shop because of it.
Whatever, it'll be ready by September so prepare for the banner ads
This was my birthday gift in 2015 lol. Iga is one of my all time favorite so I'm very excited. Hopefully we get a second demo.
This isn't "a release date of a release date". They're just saying it's likely being finalized and will show up in the March update.....which has no release date...
I already have it digitally but do not mind double dipping to show my support for this brand of sonic. Here's hoping the Mania series becomes the main Sonic while green eyes can stick to racing. Two Sonics from different timelines has gotten incredibly stale.
...the copyright at the bottom of the new smash tease means nothing. Companies control what copyright show where, it could've just said 2018 Nintendo if they wanted it to. Some have even put out bogus copyright just to throw folks off.
Before MGS5 was revealed, they teased it as a completely different game called The Phantom Pain and made by a fake Swedish developer named Moby Dick Studios. It was used in the copyright.
It's a fighting game, so the idea of reusing assets for a new game is not unheard of. I'm guessing they'll be using enhanced WiiU models and bring back things like target smash or the subspace emissary. I just want to see indie characters finally show up along with my main homie Travis Touchdown.
I'll wait for an NA demo but so far a lot of folks seem to feel it's a weak entry. At $60 I'm expecting a lot of content, so two quick levels doesn't place good value on the product.
It's all about Kirby and Dark Souls for me when it comes to physical, lots of stuff will be showing up on the eShop too that I'll be picking up between now and E3.
I bought an old copy of THPS2 for Dreamcast just to replay that amazing game. Really hoping he collaborates with RageSquid, Tony Hawk and skateboarding in general deserves better standing in videogames.
These are great retro games, I've been loving the neogeo, psikyo, and arcade archive eleases. Just wish we could blow the doors wide open and get a full library of 80s and early 90s games on the eShop.
Would love to see Atari do what ACA is doing, but they seem to be geared towards a really expensive Ataribox...
This is goodles news, lots of THQ Nordics recent releases have been great. Would love to see Sphinx, Painkiller, and Biomutant get eventual Switch releases.
Quite a few NLife regulars (including myself) already felt 3DS was here to stay. We all said pretty much what was quoted here and pessimistically shooed away because of it.
Then people started acting like nothing was releasing for the 3DS...as new releases were being announced for it
Not too sure about this one. In just those 15 seconds I saw slow animations which usually leads to loose controls. Getting a big Dracula X Chronicles vibe, and that isn't good.
Although I really wish they dropped the roguelike elements of this game, it is really fun and well put together. Easily double-dipping, been wanting to play this one during lunch breaks for a while now.
Nice! The first season was awesome. They definitely kept the Castlevania tradition. All these upset people want Mousketeers in Castlevania and frankly, the franchise was never about that. It's like going to watch Deadpool and expecting Moana.
Here's hoping this prompts Konami to actually care about the franchise again. Would prefer to skip all the Lords of Shadow junk though.
I have no interest in buying it, but what a great idea for kids and families. I feel like Nintendo is hitting the same stride they did during the 80s and 90s.

Re: Zelda: Breath of the Wild And Super Mario Odyssey Win Big At BAFTA Games Awards
I'm so happy that Hellblade won a few awards. Despite loving BotW and playing it on and off after some 200 hours, Hellblade is still my 2017 GOTY.
Re: Action RPG Die for Valhalla! Will Raid The Switch eShop Next Month
Gotta agree with Balladeer, the roguelike part kills it for me.

This looks great....to the point where I may just hold off on Dark Souls Remastered to see how this one turns out.

Re: Hacker Praises Nintendo's Switch Security Efforts, But Says Console Is "Completely Compromised"
Meh, emulated games usually run janky so I never saw the point in doing it on anything else but a PC for retro games.
Good for these folks I guess......so they can finally cheat at playing pokemon? Lolkay.
Re: No, Sega Is Not Returning To The Home Console Arena
Yeesh, seems they're still bad at choosing what to toss Sega rep behind.....Atgames' horrible retro console.
While it'll never happen under the current Sega, a number of things could change. Atari is releasing a console in 2018, anything is possible lol.

Re: Veteran Game Designer Hidenori Shibao Passes Away
I've never played Paladin's Quest, but Legend of Legaia is an all-time classic PlayStation RPG. Goes right alongside xenogears and Legend of Dragoon.
We've lost another OG
