Nothing new this week but I've just recently thinned out the wishlist with 2064 and Hollow Knight. Awesome pair of games.

@darthstuey PS4s family share is great but not really any more consumer friendly. For one, shared games have to be digital, they can't be played by sub-accounts if there's no Internet connection, and you need a PS+ subscription of $10/monthly or $70/yearly.

So digital-only gaming, always-online DRM, and an expensive subscription that has to be active. That is one specific type of consumer.

100% agree. My favorite mobile games all have a set price. Hearthstone is the only one that's f2p.

Glad they're continuing with this model, a type of normalcy has to come to mobile gaming or devs on there will keep chasing gambling mechanics and getting lost in the noise of everyone else doing the exact same thing.

Woo hoo, more Nindies is always a good thing. The indie wave of the past 2 to 3 years has been awesome, they may not be deep 3d open world experiences but I still love them.

That is awesome, I feel this is essential enough to warrant putting into production. Reminds me of an old mini TV my parents always kept in the kitchen.

Won't be starting a subscription until there's a game I really want to play online. If SSBU runs great online for people, then I'll sub. If it still runs with loads of latency issues...no thanks.

I loved this cutscene, it was funny and reinforced how silly SSB can get with such a huge cast.

Like Looney Toons, Daffy Duck was hurt every few seconds and came out fine.

I'm strangely interested in how this movie will play out and I think it's because of the cast.

Cool, I pretty much replay a chunk of LoZ games every year, but not at 100%. Just kind of a tradition.

Hehe, this was always the case. Hyrule Historia and the encyclopedia positions the timeline as something that changes based on who's writing it. And that makes sense in a series where time is constantly displaced.

It looks decent for a pre-Kickstarter build. I see the LoZ inspiration but the isometric style changes a bit.

Anyway, I'm still waiting for about 3 or 4 kickstarters to complete (finally got Chasm!) and don't want to back something with a 2020 release window. Will check it out if this succeeds.

Did no one read the article? Nintendo isn't intentionally hiring slave laborers, the surveys are meant to crack down on that but clearly more needs to be done in the vetting process.

The survey results aren't as bad for Microsoft or Nintendo, but Sony is the real concerning one. Worst results of the bunch and they're the only one of the 3 who deals in manufacturing TVs and Bluray players.

The earnings report was great and definitely accounts for the 7% increase, but it means nothing as far as that guy's bet is concerned. The game isn't over, he could hold that bet for a year if wanted.

Let's see how it's doing when the online service kicks in and people start losing access to online gaming.

@Pizzapasta Sony has holdings in anything from health insurance, to TVs and bluray players. They can diversify a huge catalogue and keep different investors happy.

Nintendo's holdings are mostly in games, so there isn't much to jump between for concerned investors. It's either videogames or amiibo, and neither caught their eye as something that'll grow between now and November-December.

This should be expected, it's been over a year and Nintendo's gaming output has slowed down until holiday 2018. I feel 2019 is when we'll see them do something as effective as the BotW and Mario Odyssey one-two punch.

For now, I'm excited about Starlink, SSBU, and Pokemon.

This should absolutely be considered by Nintendo. Would love to play an updated re-imagining of Zelda2, especially by the masters at Inti Creates.

Going to guess it's for gamers...

The only problem with this release is the hidden info we haven't been told. Everyone says you can play without the toys, but none of the hands-on reviews I've read have actively switched to this style of play. Besides that, I need campaign length and assurance that it isn't going to be a DLC-fest hidden behind expensive toys I don't want.

I actually have folders full of his game art, some of my favorite pieces too. My sympathies to his friends and family.

I'm going physical with SSBU but 16gb isn't even a thing to be worried about in comparison to my other consoles.

I skipped this one, wasn't a fan of the character-focused storylines in the demos. Figures they'd underestimate demand, considering how much they advertised it this year.

@djaxon0614 that's a much better trailer, things look way more finished and the combat/cameras were changed considerably. Color me interested.

That's the dumbest thing I've ever heard regarding SSB, and something that doesn't even need to be defended.

PS4 is leading the way, but with two separate systems, PS4 and PS4Pro. That's why the May NPD charts showed Switch was the best-selling SKU while not being #1 in overall hardware sales.

That coupled with the Switch being a much newer system with a bigger gaming hook (TV + handheld) makes this sound very possible.

Saw this coming, lots of things in this game were done lazily. Good luck hiring out Camelot again and expecting anyone to buy it. Keep them far away from other Nintendo titles please, haven't liked anything they've made since 2010.

They should really lay everything out for customers sooner rather than later. Gamers are waiting on the sidelines to see where the value is, too close to September and they'll be onto playing something else.

But this is Nintendo, so I expect them to reveal generic things like a week before this service goes up. If it underwhelms, I'm not subbing.

Have this on PC and will eventually double dip. I'm usually not a fan of roguelikes or procedural generation, but this one balances both pretty well.

Definitely picking up Minit, been holding out for a handheld port. As for other titles I'd like to see:
Shadow Warrior 1 and 2
Risk of Rain
Ruiner
Downwell (with vertical mode please!)
Luftrausers
Any Serious Sam game (classic or modern)

That's great, I liked the first game but felt it would be more fitting on-the-go. Will pick this up so long as the game runs well.

A-mazing, I consider these classics and hope we one day can get a Ni No Kuni-esque Pokemon game employing these exact concepts.

I gotta make sure to try it out before it's gone, been busy with other games + work.

Play my Switch nearly every day in around 2-3 hour stints, in both handheld and docked modes, and have none of these cracks. I call foul on some of these images because owners aren't considering everything they put the console through.

Willing to bet a chunk of this group leave their Switches in bad temperature conditions (muggy house, turning A/C off before leaving for work, around clutter with lots of dust).

Another chunk likely think "it's in a case, so now it's an invincible boomerang!!" and flip it around their backpack while commuting, likely even without noticing.

And another chunk are rage-players who won't admit they have a problem. These are the images where it's cracked alongside the majority of the Joy-Con rails. Sorry, but that doesn't happen unless we're talking rapid temperature changes...or rage squeezing the Joy-Cons while they're connected to the Switch.

I'm hoping it does lead to a 3DS successor, not in the sense of just another iteration but a completely new type of handheld.

Great interviews guys! My copy of the Encyclopedia just came in a couple of days ago and I have not been able to put it down. DarkHorse is my all-time favorite comic company (have over 7 art books, Lone Wolf and Cub, Samurai Executioner, and Blade of the Immortal collections) and this partnership with Nintendo has been nothing but awesome.

Already got the BotW art book pre-ordered and will do the same for a Metroid book. I would love love love to see DarkHorse hire out folks like Becky Cloonan to do a Legend of Zelda, Metroid, or Star Fox comic book. This partnership is too good to keep on beautiful high-quality art books.

As for the folks putting the reviewer at fault, there's no way he or she would've known something like this unless specifically looking for it. Reviewers aren't told to a review a game in the way other gamers would, they review it as themselves.

And then comes the National Gamers Association, always pretending to know what everyone should want and who's the crybaby for not wanting the exact same things (what a high IQ!).

So far I've been liking the idea of releasing an "R" series of games for Switch, but need to see more gameplay for this before getting excited. Loved Hyper Sports on NES.

Would've been nice to get a version with only the artbook, don't care for that tank statue. Anyway, September is too packed for me to pre-order this so it's a wait-and-see.

Looks good enough to try out, I'll be downloading on release day.

As long as this means we get the emulation software China is getting, and they release good games every few months, I'm fine with the news.

If it's just Balloon Fight for 8 months and then maybe Dr. Mario for the next 8 months, then this will suck.
