They should re-release the first two on NS as well.

They have nothing on the nintendo tech, this'll get reversed for sure.

A lot of games get their servers shut down. In the next 4 months: Pro Evolution Soccer 2016, FIFA 14, MLB The Show 15, NBA 2k16, and The Tomorrow Children will be losing their servers. These are PS4 games.

This news is about an app shutting down....so I'm not sure why folks are acting like it's the end times. You can still play the game itself online.

They have to battle through six games (with Indie collaborators pitching in) to survive the battle.

I'm happy to get mini-games, but it isn't an official numbered entry into NMH so consider me less excited.

I'll absolutely miss miiverse, still use it on occasion to share games....lots of folks still upvote screen shots and art pieces. Loved it as a gamer's social media platform, only XBL communities rivals it.

Now all NS photos are more of a twitter thing, so gamers the world over won't get to see comments unless they follow specific hashtags or twitter handles. That's lame, we're losing the ability to share with all Nintendo gamers.

Devs across all consoles do this or something similar now, even more so with the PS4Pro.

FFXV had several options, quite a few of them made the game run worse but that's likely fixed by now. Nioh's action mode is 60fps at 900p, while movie mode hits around 30fps at 1080p.

Someone needs to make a practical version of the dock at a cheaper pricepoint, these KS hardware projects look alright but seem to have clunky/heavy design along with a pricepoint only $10 cheaper than an official NS dock.

Simplifying the combat will probably make it more enjoyable than original FFXV. I'm not put off by the chibi art either, especially since the original character models look like Backstreet Boy rejects anyway.

Wouldn't mind picking this one up on NS. But the quote does sound like the Switch could get its own vesion, maybe with a cel-shaded look.

It honestly looks like they'll frustrate you to no end with the bullet-hell style combat.

As others have said, enough with the metroidvanias. How about the classic sidescrolling co-op brawler? Nothing today matches with Spiderman Maximum Carnage, Turtles In Time, Streets of Rage, or Mighty Morphin' Power Rangers.

Does anyone know if I could use this mode to find where the bonus stages are on each map? Because that would be helpful after my initial playthrough.

It's Night Trap...good riddance. People who want it can get it on PS4 or PC. I have no interest in buying extremely crappy FMV sequences.

I've always liked when devs add challenges at the game-level that unlocks modes and art, not sure if Rime will do that though. On-system achievements don't matter, games do.

And about the korok seeds. I find it hilarious that while 900 seeds expands your inventory considerably, people only complain about the item at the end....completely ignoring what the journey got them. An item that may still have significance in the finally DLC pack.

They have no case here, the only similarity is that both have controllers and a screen.

Analog stick layouts are different, the controllers don't separate like joy-cons, and it looks like they have a basic Android OS.

There's a very small chance this could hurt streaming app support though.

I would still have preferred the Samus Returns collectors edition. This looks nice, but I never liked the bulk or pixel quality on the XL.

Well, I'm using the guide and getting that demo. Mostly to see how it plays on a NS.

I'm picking up the Kirby theme and maybe the Pikmin3 map packs. Have so much platinum and gold, may as well use it for something.

30% discount on a $30 purchase is lame, gold coins should at least warrant 50% off.

@grudgebear Of course the West would care, it'll be a portable MH with local and online play. Nevermind that it still follows traditional MH mechanics. XX clearly won't beat out MHW (it's releasing on 3 platforms afterall) sales but chances are it'll still make money.

If they skip XX and release a lower resolution MHW on Switch, then it could get cross-platform play with XBO/PC owners and that would be awesome.

Ummm....Nintendo need to get their head straight here. Nothing is wrong with smaller indie releases, but these two entries seem like cut-and-paste iOS games. I'd have the same reaction if Flappy Bird was announced to be releasing physical on Switch.

How about Netflix, Twitch, Hearthstone, Super Mario Run, Fire Emblem Heroes, Pokemon Go....it was starting off well with VOEZ but Nintendo's silence since then has been pretty concerning. I guess it takes the entire village to sell Splatoon2....

As SBandy said, I imagine the NS version is being kept under wraps so they could determine how well a new entry in the DQ series will sell on the two platforms with the biggest install bases.

Willing to bet the 3DS release will sell much more in japan. We'll find out in a few weeks.
